And you need three trophies to upgrade your castle to level two to advance in the game. Have won ten matches and didn’t earn the coins wagered or my trophies. Also, had a guy checkmate next turn. He let go click run out and then game ended as a draw. That shouldn’t happen. Very buggy. Would be fun if it was fixed.(I did contact support weeks ago. They told me nothing I can do until they fix it in a future update. I am using latest version. Every time a game starts and I’m assigned to black, the game always times out and ends in a draw. If I’m white though, it’s fine… and that’s if I can even play a game, usually the server isn’t responding - really annoying cause it’s otherwise quite fun. Not sure what the devs are doing to address these bugs? ### 4/5 — Game is fun just a recent bug *2024-12-31* There’s a bug I’ve had for a couple months where any pvp game whether I win or lose it counts as a draw so I get no trophies and can’t progress in the game. The problem is, when I play as black, it automatically aborts the game, even if they play the move within time 3. The old app (Adventure chess) was great and then became buggy beyond use. This started out ok and now says every game is a draw and doesn’t give the results or rewards. To chess.com: Pick an app and keep it up to date. ### 3/5 — Needs More Gameplay *2024-10-09* Building up a castle and getting avatar clothes is only so fun. It would be better if one had to play chess to get gold to then attack other kingdoms and expand an empire. Gold from play used to buy armies, weapons, and defenses. As chess was battlefield strategy prep back in the day I should get to do real battles in the game. Also since a few upgrades ago Iall battles end in the draw screen and the mage dosnt have analysis. All matches end in a draw, regardless of the actual result! Has been the case for some time now. The timer runs out on you even when it’s your opponent’s turn, causing you to lose games you should win. Worst of all, every game currently ends in a draw, so you only gain points towards your rank and not the money you’ve bet. You only earn money from the camp or hourly income, which makes it nearly impossible to upgrade your castle or buy things. This has been going on for weeks. But it showed draw in the end without giving me a trophy! Could do with some more updates though as I’m maxed on castle level 8 because the trophies are capped at 45!!!! ### 1/5 — Buggy PvP *2024-08-24* Great concept, however, the PvP battles are disappointing due to a serious bug. Frequently I will play a move, and the opponent’s time will be ticking down on my screen. Yet, apparently, on the server, they have played a move, for I lose on time. For the last two battles that I won I didn’t receive any rewards or trophies. This makes it impossible to progress in the game. It’s very frustrating to win a hard fought match against a real person and get no reward! Update: Reinstalling has no effect. I’m using the latest version. I play everyday and you are unable to get any rewards. Support was not helpful. The game is unplayable. ### 1/5 — Bug with the battle system *2024-12-06* There is a bug with the battle system. The animation just goes around and around and around and around. The puzzles would be greatly improved if we could go back to all of them, not just those in the current level. The biggest help in learning would be boss puzzles that didn’t disappear. How are we supposed to understand what they are about when they vanish the second they solved? The main site does this so well. The app is terribly inconsistent in how many attempts it gives you in boss mode. I had 5 more to go and was put back to 10 after one failed attempt, when all along it had been giving me three attempts. I wasn’t able to review my battles and everything came through as draw, whether it was a loss or a win, with certain exceptions like time running out. You don’t win any coins when winning either… now it’s always -2 from your rating whether it’s a draw, win or loss, that doesn’t even show up.
