Kingdom Rush nailed the graphics and this game copied it...yay...boo...whatever, I like look. Tower star upgrades should go on for many tiers. I’m on lvl 1-4 and I’m done 1/4 of the upgrades, more...I need more! Due to that fact I see this being a hero heavy game vs a TD game in the late stages, I could be wrong. Lots of icons on the side for gems and money and FB stuff, gives games a desperate vibe. All in all I’m enjoying the game and so should you. ### 4/5 — iPhone X Display Concerns and Effort Sounds *2018-09-27, version 1.3.7* Display. I think this a great game just 2 concerns. iPhone X users have screen size issues when playing endless the “Daily Trial” mode and the new towers become available as u get father in the daily trial. You have to click ok to close the new tower notification but it doesn’t let u actually see it because the display isn’t configured correctly for iPhone X and there is no way to change in the settings. Sounds for hero’s. I feel like the heroes should have more sounds when using special abilities they seem to lack through the game. For all hero’s other than that this game is great. ### 2/5 — Knockoff *2018-09-21, version 1.3.7* I mean I will play this to pass the time but first this is a huge knockoff of Kingdom Rush which Kingdom Rush is amazing. But the hero’s cost WAY to much. And when you spawn the golden angel warrior guy he sounds like the barbarian from clash of clans.. This game was rushed and should be better improved!! Oh and also Creators FIND YOU OWN CHARACTER SOUNDS!! ### 4/5 — Great game *2018-09-21, version 1.3.7* It’s a great game as long as the developers stay active. There needs to be a way to improve without replaying levels like there was in past games. I understand it’s a free game so the developers need money, but the difficulty scale is a little much compared to hero scaling. ### 4/5 — Fun hero tower defense game *2018-09-21, version 1.3.7* Quite fun with the addition of heroes and gives you a basic layout of the game in the first few lvls. Definitely something to kill the time and challenge you a bit in how you set up your towers and heroes to make sure you complete the lvl with 3 stars. Way too many ads just to give you an advantage yet even that’s not enough. Your forced to buy gems to upgrade heroes which are overpriced. Some enemies are way too strong in the earlier stages which I believe should’ve been introduced in later stages when your towers and heroes are strong enough to take on them. You reach a point that you have to either quit or spend money and even then you probably wouldn’t win. I bought two characters and the items that came with it didn’t show up both times. Avoid this sham. ### 1/5 — Greedy man’s TD *2018-10-27, version 1.3.9* (KINGDOM Rush + Realm DEFENSE = KINGDOM DEFENSE) 🤔 I love tower defense game like kingdom rush and Realm defense and wanted to like this game as well. I installed this game twice but couldn’t enjoy it. The game was clearly rushed. It gets “inspiration” from kingdom rush and realm defense and sadly doesn’t even come close to either. Characters and units felt slow and unresponsive. They also felt rather weak and even useless. My biggest peeve about this game was the implementation of ads. Not only were there too much, they’re even implemented underhandedly. For example the gold producing tower, which seemed nice at first but it made me realize how little gold was gained from enemy deaths. This gives the devs the incentive to push an ad one time during mid game to give you gold to help you during battles, which shouldn’t be necessary in the first place. Not only is it already ad heavy and p2w, the heroes are ridiculously priced as well. I’m not saying the game is impossible to play but it definitely is frustrating and not worth wasting time on. ### 1/5 — Critical error *2018-10-22, version 1.3.8* Got a crash all the time lvl 18. After wave 14 . Hate it. Spend a lot of resources to win, but because of the crit-lost everything!!!!! It was great, but now the same game is being pimped with infinite variations that all boil down to the exact same game. Even the maps are the same. This would all be fine but the constant ads for other games is insane. Please stop building games like this. I spent massive amounts of gems and maxed out the towers and still could not get past map 9. This is a slimy pay to win app’d I won’t buy any more apps from this developer************* Here is my original review: First, this seems like a total copy-cat of the kingdom rush series. Kingdom Rush is the best tower defense I have ever played. It looks like different app developers. So, no real ingenuity. Second, this is a huge PAY TO WIN game. If you want to get frustrated at not being able to win at all unless you pay for overpriced gems, then by all means, get this game. Over 40 dollars for a hero? Are you kidding me? Seriously? Third, other than that, the game play is fun. Only problem, you can’t advance past like map 8 or 9 unless you start coughing up the cash. Fourth, I don’t fault ads. But ads every time you end a game and ads everywhere, with no way to pay to remove them. I would recommend to these developers to create your own game instead of copying the game of another developer just to cash in. Have you heard from their intellectual property attorney yet? You will. Unless of course, you are the same company or got advanced written permission. In that event, never mind. Bottom line: good game play but a cheesy PAY TO WIN scam app. ### 1/5 — Surprise! It’s a Realm Defense clone *2018-09-21, version 1.3.7* Of course tower defense games are going to be somewhat similar, but wow. Hero’s, check. Daily trials, check. Hero and tower leveling, check. Ridiculously real money expensive heroes, check. Same basic map strategy, check. It goes on and on. They did add gold making towers, but that’s it. There is no point in playing this game while they work out the kinks while there is an exact replica that has already been around for some time. Not saying that Realm Defense is amazing, it also becomes free to play garbage very quickly. ### 1/5 — Cheap Knockoff *2018-09-19, version 1.3.7* Honestly it seems like the game was thrown together as quickly as possible. The heroes are pretty meh. It takes forever to level them up and they don’t even do that much. You only get 2 of them unless you wanna spend a bunch of gems. Which you’d need to pay actual money for. Annoying in app notifications never go away. I can’t upgrade until I have 4 stars. But because I have 3 it never goes away. Same with getting “free gems” by inviting fb friends to play. Or doing the daily challenge. There aren’t even any tooltips to tell me what i’m getting for upgrading my tower. Or what the abilities of my fully upgraded tower does. The art style is alright but it honestly just seems like a worse version of kingdom rush/frontiers/origins. The game is free and I still felt like I got ripped off. I just have one request in regards to the future release of “Endless Mode”. Can you guys please make it free to play? For example, games like Realm Defense requires that you use a “Endless Key” in order to play Endless Mode. I understand that the player is rewarded with 2 free keys per day, but it still defeats the purpose of Endless Mode limitation. So if you can please make Endless Mode playable (with no hidden items/money required) that would be great.
