However, many issues in the basic package are even worse in the upgrade, so very quickly after purchase I deleted the entire app. Disappointed. - even on easy mode eventually the attacks by greed become enormous. Does not seem possible to finish the game in one reign even on easy mode. That’s a real shame because starting from the beginning everytime is extremely annoying . - the lack of resources in winter contrasts too much with summer. It’s annoying you have to keep running back and forth to put coins in bushes. Thus while the idea of winter is nice, it just got poor gameplay. - cats pushing coins in water and nothing you can do about it? Again annoying. - even though the controls should be the simplest ever (left to right), it is so poorly designed with those asthmatic attacks. Disappointingly the control is even worse with the animals in the upgrades. Have the developers even tried to play with that cart&cat? However, there is a big problem. I’ve been playing this game in coop mode on iPad using two DualSense controllers for a few weeks now, and I’ve experienced several significant glitches that have resulted in an extremely frustrating experience. First of all, when I connect the two controllers to my device via bluetooth, the game recognizes the first controller I use to control the menu as the primary controller and the second controller wouldn’t work at all, forcing me to make my device forget the second controller and reconnect it in order for it to work properly. Secondly, every time we travel to a new island, the second player’s money pouch appears as empty while having practically infinite capacity. This can be helpful; however, if they pick up a gem or any special item, it will not show visually and it will be a mystery as to whether it was even picked up. Thirdly, the assignment of archers to armies was already a conundrum, but on top of that, the operation of the armies also leaves me scratching my head. There was one case where we defeated the last portal before the cave portal, and we built the bomb in preparation for beating the island; however, there was no army to accompany the bomb (where there should usually be two), instead there was one single army general walking on the river! The last glitch that finally forced us to abandon our coop campaign was when after beating an island, the second player became unable to pay for anything. They could still drop coins, but the little circles that would pop up above things you could pay for, would no longer pop up, essentially halting progress. I tried everything: going to new islands, switching between singles and coop mode, reconnecting controllers, reloading the game. Nothing worked. I figured this problem might be tied to the campaign and sure enough, when we switched to different campaign, everything was fine. Fundamentally, this game is a fantastic game with stunning visuals, intuitive mechanics, and satisfying progression, it’s just a shame all of that is tainted by the countless glitches and bugs, particularly in coop mode (which I assume is the selling point of Kingdom “Two” Crowns). I understand that this game has not received an update in a minute but I hope the devs see this message and consider revisiting the game to ensure the coop experience is smoother. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — cross platform saves is false advertisement. *2026-05-27, version 2.4.0* great game but very buggy. very disappointed. i created an account and then tried logging in and it said password/email is wrong. okay sorry what? i tried to reset the password, no email link. created a new account with easier password, creates it, try logging in again. “wrong password/email”… ????? i hve this game on the switch, pc and now iphone. none of them can synchronise at all with each other and it’s even more pointless than u cant even login with apple id on any other platform. so there’s no point even giving the option to link account to apple id for cross platform cloud saves. absolute genius. ### 1/5 — Вылетает *2026-05-02* Игра стала постоянно вылетать после последнего обновления. The game is permanently stuck on the initial loading screen where the character is just waiting, and it never reaches the actual game / main menu. I have tried every recommended troubleshooting step—including launching in offline/airplane mode and clearing the cache—but nothing bypasses this infinite loading bug. It appears to be a known issue with older save files failing to migrate or sync properly, rendering the game completely unplayable and holding my massive save file hostage. It’s the exact same game with a slightly extended ending, and some splashes of paint. The enemies are the same, the gameplay loop is still long, monotonous and largely dependant on the maps you generate in on. Don’t ever expect to get anywhere on anything more than normal difficulty as the game becomes next to impossible to beat. Whilst the visuals and soundtrack are nice it’s somewhat galling that they’ve basically cloned the same game several times over but pretended they were brand new. Not a really noteworthy time sink, just a grind for something that’s already been done. Shouldn’t cost as much as it does for what’s essentially a rerelease of New Lands. ### 1/5 — Great game, but the coat of arms generator needs to change *2025-03-12* Overall, I love this game and am enjoying the new Olympus DLC. However, I’m only giving it 1 star for now due to an incredibly annoying aspect of the cost of arms designer. For some insane reason, they made the choice to make the system for picking colors a button you click that just picks a random color. It makes it incredibly irritating and tedious to try to get the color you want, and it’s just entirely unnecessary. It would be so much nicer to just give you a color wheel, or even just a range of colors you can pick from instead. It makes absolutely no sense to have this system the way it is. It’s been this way for years and it’s annoyed me the whole time. If I want to play Minecraft on my phone, I basically need to keep it plugged in, or else the whole thing just drains in like an hour or two. Kingdom Two Crowns has a level of polish that unfortunately surprises me these days. The battery barely moves- and I’ve played other pixel art games that guzzle batteries, so it’s not that. The core gameplay loop is attempting to colonize each island and eliminate the progressively harder and harder waves of Greed, monsters that want everything you’ve got- money, tools, and your crown. Lose the crown, and you’re defeated, but as you progress through each island, you’ll unlock better technology that will eventually allow you to take the fight straight to the Greed (on that island). You want to take your time, but take too long, and the greed will overwhelm you. Progress must keep marching, even in winter, the hardest of the seasons. The music is so good, I listen to it on my own while writing. The graphics are PHENOMENAL. It is like eye candy for me, so much gorgeous love and care. The replayability is fantastic; each DLC is comfortably familiar, yet offers something new and interesting. I love all of the entries in this. Kingdom 80’s has my whole heart, too.
