It is supposed to deal 30% of damage back to enemies that hit your melee units. Instead, the ability hits your own melee units. Seems like reverse damage logic. Wish you could skip the truly terrible story mode where you are interrupted by awful cutscenes every time you do anything. After every battle you get rewards but then u get stuck and have to force close the game to progress.
