The characters are very good and this is one of the few adventure games that are way less sexist than others! (They have a few more sexual outfits for the female characters then they do the males and the girls still have “physics” but Im still pretty surprised they even included sexual outfits for male characters) I may have come a little too late to the game though. There is no more customer support so if you experience a glitch then you will either try to figure out what happened yourself or just suffer. Character design is a huge thing for me and seriously, these characters are beautiful. Every single one practically. There are the odd bunch that Im not a huge fan of, but all of these designs fit the characters perfectly. Plus most if not all of the characters have 3 different outfits and I love it. (My personal favorites are the christmas ones) The gameplay is also pretty good. I havent gotten far and haven’t gotten too many characters, but the gameplay is pretty fluid and quick. You are mostly looking at the bottom of the screen if you dont have auto battle on though. All in all this is a pretty good game and you should definitely try it, especially if you like anime style adventure games with husbandos, waifus, and just adorable kid characters that you should not be attracted too otherwise you are a creep. ### 2/5 — RIP Kings Raid. *2023-05-14* Used to be obsessed with this game because of the nature of it. Highly addictive and you genuinely used to feel the progress every time a character was upgraded or when you got character specific skills and weapons maxed. But just the content was lacking, the game went heavily into paid content which is completely fine to a certain extent as I was happy to chuck $10 here or there just for the dopamine hit but after upgrading my phone to a 13 pro max last year the game runs worse than when I was playing on an iPhone 8. Not sure why that is at all it’s quite bizarre but also kind of expected when the games as neglected as is. The game had me at one point, truly gripped me but after a month every time I had a push notification asking me to play the game I felt nothing towards it. ### 2/5 — Login Issue *2022-12-24* Game was going great until I am no longer to log in through Game Center. I hope this can be resolved ### 4/5 — So uh my phone buggin *2022-10-26* This ain’t really a problem with the game as you can tell from the 4 star rating. Rather my phone be smokin that pack. Basically when I open the game and get into town square deadass everything be tposing, the city don’t load in it’s just a grey backdrop, like 3 character models load in the rest are all pink, when I go in a fight, the entire screen is pink and I can only see the health bars. If I didn’t have this problem, then I’d easily rate it as 5 stars but this problem has been happening to me for the past few months and I can’t enjoy the game because of it, but it’s not the games fault that my phone be buggin. ### 3/5 — A great game but with potential being lost *2022-09-15, version 4.86.4* I recently started playing the game and it quickly became one of my favorites, but on a recent update it has been impossible to collect any rewards even when updated as it said it would fix it, they also had lowered the gem amount when collecting your rewards for progressing the story making it almost pointless I really think that as long as they can return to how things used to be which was by just a few days it could go back to being 5 stars and my favorite game but with how they aren’t giving any gems anymore and just giving scraps it’s really hard to do anything changing it back would only help the game I was enjoying it so much more before and now it just feels like it’ll take ages to actually get to 6,000 gems. ### 4/5 — Challenging & rewarding *2021-08-14, version 4.45.7* I picked this game up for the husbandos and waifus, and was ready to grind hard for them. I worried for nothing, as the grinding isn’t too bad and can be fun. I was also rewarded for spending a little money, so the rates aren’t too bad. Once I grew strong enough to clear story chapters, I got sucked into the main story, which I’ll admit starts slow/cliche. However once it picks up, it REALLY picks up, and flips tropes on their head. The game community is also super helpful whether you’re a novice or a long-time player; you have a question, they have an answer or are working on it alongside you. The only reason I didn’t give this a full 5 stars is because I have to run the game on lowest quality mode on my phone, or else I’ll be loading the game for 90% of the time I have it open. Even on lowest quality mode, it keeps crashing, and I have to relaunch and re-login to the game. I see that people who emulate the game on their computer have no issues, but I can only play this on my iPhone 8, which as a decently recent phone doesn’t have issues with any other app. I hope the game devs fix this soon. Once they do, I’ll probably be fully addicted to this game! ### 3/5 — Am I stupid *2021-07-11, version 4.41.8* This game is gorgeous, beautiful character designs and a really good gacha system that I wish more games had. But I just don’t get it, I’ve looked around at guides on how to build champions and build teams but I still can’t do basic things like the Honor Arena which is what the game is. The game is mainly PvP or Raids on monsters, if you don’t know exactly how to build everything about your heroes then you’re not gonna be able to do anything. Its a good game in terms of visuals and design, but once you’re done with the story there’s nothing for a casual person like me who doesn’t wanna spend hours upon hours building something or someone for the chance of it working out well. Maybe I just don’t get it? I’m holding onto the game because I love the designs of the characters so much, but I don’t really plan on playing for a while until I can get a grasp on how this stuff works. ### 1/5 — Can’t Log In *2021-06-11* After this past maintenance it won’t let me log in with apple Game Centre, which my account is under. ### 2/5 — Hurts my feelings *2021-05-03, version 4.31.7* I started to play this game 3 years ago and I deleted and reinstalled it multiple times. At that time I would give this game 5 stars. I like the design of characters. Also the developers are pretty passionate about making the game better. The reason I deleted this game is the unique weapon upgrading system. I spent way too much effort and time on collecting the unique weapons for my heroes and so far I still unable to reach one single 5 star weapon. I was telling myself if it keeps getting me “Fail” I would delete this game right away. And so I did. I can’t imagine how other persistent players have the patience but clearly I am not one of them. I feel very frustrated and this wasted my time. Recommend this game to those people who has time and money to spend on this game very day. PS: the game updates too often and changes so much. Make the returned player feel very left behind ### 4/5 — Very Good Game. *2021-02-14, version 4.21.8* I’ve been playing for about 1 month now and I’ve talked to many people in the world chat to better understand the game and the characters in it. By far the best thing is that IT IS NOT P2W. You can drop as much money on the game as you’d like and without grinding dungeons, bosses, raids etc, you will NOT get anywhere in ranked or in general. You grind for the characters you want, grind for the gear you wish to obtain. Grind to level those characters and that gear. Put together your own sound team and strategize to the best of your abilities. Aside from all that, the story line is pretty cool. The story sounds like an anime, which is pretty cool. Character designs are amazing, wish some would have more skins than they actually have. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is because some things I absolutely need to grind are only open for a very small period of time every other day and I’m not sure if that is meant to keep people logging on or to limit what you can do within a day but it’s a bit irritating when the game is this good, you want to play it whenever you can. **Developer response:** Hello Raider! The story modes and broken and impossible to beat with the characters provided (You can’t even change the characters??) The characters were all unique and fun to master, there was so much content to discover, and the story was memorable and awesome. However, the game hit an impasse about six months ago, where we stopped getting cool events and new content, so many people’s enjoyment of the game (my own included) started to dwindle. Logging in started feeling like a chore after a while. But the most recent update was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It brought about unrecognizable change to the game that forced many players like myself to basically learn how to play a new game. Nerfing character skills. Changing the gear, unique weapon, and transcendence systems. Changing the stat systems and calculations. None of the characters were unique anymore. Some content was now a joke, and some content was now virtually impossible. All of the knowledge, progress, and investment I had acquired and put in over the years prior essentially was nullified in a single moment. Thanks a lot, Vespa. ### 1/5 — A great game ruined by a terrible update. *2022-10-15* I’ve been a loyal player, even through this last year when the devs have neglected KR. The only updates were terrible changes no one asked for (like changing the rune system), but I didn’t complain… until now. The latest update is a massive nerf to all heroes (playable characters) as if to punish the few remaining active KR players, as well as introducing even more changes no one asked for (such as the change to hero skills). King’s Raid was a great game, but the latest update will chase away the last few active players, including myself. ### 1/5 — Update 10/22 RUINED the game, sad.. *2022-10-13* This is the first review I’ve ever written, that’s how badly and passionately I feel about this. I’ve been playing this game for 8 years, loved it, invested time and money into it, had multiple accounts because how much I wanted to play it. But now after 8 years I’m uninstalling the game and considering deleting my account. The newest update in October 2022, has absolutely destroyed this game. And I am by far not the only one that thinks that.. just had a 20mins in game discussion with many other people that also feel the same. We PLEAD the developers to PLEASE revert this update, it has ruined the game for so many loyal fans.. it’s just sad to say goodbye but it has got to that point. If you’re new to the game you might like it, still a solid story and characters etc - but if you’re returning or already play it. I’m sorry. ### 1/5 — The Greed and Stupidity Cannot be Understated *2022-10-12* I’m writing this review as of Vespa’s latest debacle with their “much anticipated” battle system revamp. Imaging taking Summoners War, Epic 7 or another long running gacha, deleting years of player accumulated power then reselling that power back to the user through convoluted and rng-riddled systems that can FAIL BACKWARDS. Yes, you read that right, now when you attempt to awaken weapons they LOSE all materials and even a level when that process fails. But wait! Not only are all of your investments in specific hero treasures, weapons and strengths removed, perverted and diluted into a pool of specific stats that you can pick for each and every character, but should you be dense enough to continue playing this trainwreck, you now have astronomical cooldowns on all of your hero’s skills paired with the shrunken damage of depreciated heroes, which means even basic dailies that you’ve succeeded at for years are now harder than the hardest raids in the game. As for those “hardest raids” they’re completely impossible, not to mention broken with mechanics that weren’t adjusted for the crippling new meta. This game will be at it’s end of service by mid next year if not sooner. Absolutely play anything else but King’s Raid. And never touch a Vespa product again because they’re actively harmful to their own products. ### 1/5 — OMG! *2022-10-10* This game is exactly like their other app: it’s slow AF, is constantly loading and crashes. With the amount of storage space it has taken (5 to 7GB), how can it have these problems? I think I’ll be deleting this app, as well as Time Defenders - none of them are worth the hassle, nor the data/internet it took. As for the storyline, it became annoying very fast. It’s bad enough that they were quick to judge others but to misjudge as well, is just ridiculous! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Generous and fun *2022-11-12* The only mobile gatcha game that I have played which lets you choose your characters plus they give you tons of free stuff at the start you don’t really have to spend money unless you want to support the game so it continues existing (which I did) and even then what I got for my money cost me less and was much more generous than any other I have played. The characters and storyline are also a funny anime style that I enjoy so hopefully more people pick this game up since even though it’s a bit old now it’s still much better value for money than heaps of the newer games out there. ### 5/5 — Awesome *2022-10-28* Needs more skins ;) that’s all ### 5/5 — Suggestion *2022-03-24, version 4.76.0* I am giving you a suggestion as an avid player since the game first came out vesper people are talking about leaving constantly I know they’ve been waiting for kings rate to to draw but I believe that if you cannot drop KR2 at this moment that you should continue on with content and storyline and new characters that will continue to keep the base fans happy if you cannot keep the Fanbase happy they are liable to look elsewhere for that happiness I would hate to see such a great game falter because new content is not being issued you guys are great I know you’ve been having some issues over there with employees and development but there are some talented people out there that would love to work with Vespa all you need to do is find them and bring them on board sometimes it takes new blood to rejuvenate and bring fresh ideas to a great game here’s to many more years of Kings Raid. **Developer response:** Hello Raider! I have been stuck on a certain level in chapter 8 because my heroes arent string enough. Another thing is to add a starter event where new players do quests and get small rewards, once all the small reward quests are done you can claim the massive reward(s) for the completed level which can be realky good like over 6k rubies or free hero and goodie stuff, after claiming the massive reward you can move on to the next level and the rewards get better as the levels. The final reward should be: 1 transencdence 5 lvl 100 hero ticket, a maxed out unique weapon ticket, 4 unique treasure tickets, a lot of rubies, 4 mega skill tickets which lets you max out a skill of your choice. Yeah you dont have two but please implement this to the game ### 5/5 — Captivating and Generous *2022-01-01, version 4.63.4* This game has managed to capture and hold my attention for a very long time- I was playing consistently several days a week for almost 2 years until I decided to take a break earlier this year in 2021. The story is whatever- kind of cliche and I don’t know if the translations are the best, but the absolute best thing this game has going for it is the wide assortment of characters and the fact that not once did I ever feel like I had to pay a cent to keep progressing or get ahead. It’s so free to play friendly that I actually want to give the developers some money just to show my appreciation. I’m still on a hiatus, but I will make sure to return when the long-awaited Chapter 2 releases, hopefully sometime in the first half of 2022. ### 5/5 — One of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played. *2021-05-04, version 4.31.7* At first i never gave the game any thought. For one Its more rewarding then most games from allowing you to buy special characters with gems Thatd normally be difficult to obtain in other games like for example summoning 100 times. Giving free 5 star characters sometimes at max lv Even a chance To choose exclusive items specific for a character you like. Theres so much to do and so much more rewards you can earn easily, sometimes even without doing anything. I apologize for saying this but there is a little bug in game. While I’m playing king’s raid, suddenly everything get slowly or stopped. For example I was in the end of a battle and then suddenly everything gets slowly and then I saw that I can’t do anything and I saw that I am out of the game! Then when I play the game again, I see that I should go and play that battle again and It’s not the first time that this thing is happening for me. I’m playing king’s raid for 3 years and I haven’t seen this bug in the game before. I think this is a new bug in the game. Please fix this bug. I apologize again for saying that but I should have let you know about this. Because this game it’s the best and I don’t want that this bug makes the game bad.
