### 4/5 — App utility

*2026-02-14, version 3.1.4*

The app is good, but it does need to allow for us to add our own variable exercise exercises versus the set in stone exercises that only allow you to pick from a certain few. Other than that, very helpful to keep it simple and very useful.

### 3/5 — Buggy app but good workouts

*2026-01-26, version 3.1.2*

Bug fixes will make this app brilliant

### 4/5 — Good app but could be even better.

*2025-11-20, version 3.0.38*

This is a well built app that makes it easy to keep up with the exercises. That being by said it definitely has room for improvement, it would be awesome if it had a built in calorie tracker and maybe a store for the supplements. Keep up the great work Greg!

### 3/5 — Great for those that want to take the guess work out of the equation

*2025-08-07, version 3.0.37*

Great app from Greg and the team. Gives you programs based on your goals.

Suggestion: Add a sound chime and notification for when the rest period is over

### 3/5 — Great potential but some suggestions

*2025-08-06, version 3.0.37*

The workouts should automatically change in any 4 week consecutive “sub-phase” of the program. This would be helpful and just seems lazy to not include for people. What I have to do now is go in and manually change the workouts each 4 weeks.

Second, Greg should film videos specific to each workout program. Right now he’s filmed talking about the movie star program which is confusing for people actually doing the warrior or Troy or anything else.

Third, there should be an option to
Update your step count goal to 14k or 10k or whatever.

Lastly, I think more transparency within the app on how calorie target are calculated would help people understand their metabolic needs. I think flex to adjust those calories should be added with maybe a feedback meter telling people if they’re within a good range, too low or too high based on their height /weight/activity.

### 3/5 — Check in issue.

*2025-08-04, version 3.0.37*

I like the app - but the check in feature pretty much doesn’t work at all… the initial one works but after that when i try to submit a new check in it doesnt seem to load. It logs in for about 5 mins then disappears. App is a little buggy

### 3/5 — Need improvement

*2025-04-10, version 3.0.30*

Great concept, but it has a few bugs. The timer goes away when selecting anything on the list, even to check other exercises. When the timer is done you have to be inside the app to hear it go off, otherwise you wouldn't know. When tracking your sets, the past workout goes away and you don't know how many sets or how much weight you did.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-01-09, version 3.0.29*

Best pump I’ve ever gotten, and most PR’s. Thanks Greg!

### 3/5 — Good but not great

*2025-01-06, version 3.0.29*

I have been following Gregs philosophy for a long time and it has helped me lose 22KG’s so far. It is effortless, easy, etc. However, the way the programmes are structured in the app are not worth the premium for the cost. There should be a lot more video content, explaining the programmes, helping you pick which one you want, weekly check ins, etc. Kris Gethins programmes are hardcore but theres a lot of video content in it to listen to on the way to the gym. Programmes are great, love his training philosophy’s and principles but there needs to be a lot more content to justify the cost.

### 4/5 — Problem switching programs

*2024-12-19, version 3.0.27*

I swapped the Thor workout for another one, but when I tried to swap back to Thor, it was no longer an option.

### 4/5 — Great!

*2024-12-16, version 3.0.27*

Great idea for application. Need to show both sets in Previous Lift area only shows second set.

### 5/5 — Great Workout App

*2024-12-07, version 3.0.27*

Perfect Simple app to track workouts, progress and steps. Timer intervals between individual workouts could be improved and allow for alerting in background mode, but overall fantastic!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too many Glitches and the app Crashes in the middle of workouts

*2026-06-04, version 3.1.6*

The app does not save you work progress and crashes if I start check out or watching a video work out in the same app. They need to improve remove the glitches and crashes every day is the same thing with app. Is only this KINOBODY APP that has the issues get fix. Or I want my MONEY BACK.

### 1/5 — Deleted all my data

*2026-05-10, version 3.1.6*

Used it for 2 weeks. Opened it up like normal just for it to asking my name, age, goal weight all over again. The program, lifts tracked, etc., all gone.

### 1/5 — Scam! Don’t buy it

*2025-01-16, version 3.0.29*

It is 22 dollars for 4 types of very limited gym training. They just pasted some sets and built an app to take money from people.

### 1/5 — Weekly Progress Doesn’t Save

*2025-01-13*

Weight/body metrics that you enter and photos you enter don’t save from week to week. You can’t track your weight loss/gain progress, which is the whole point. I’ve entered in Support tickets on 12/16/24 and 01/13 with no changes made.

### 1/5 — Lackluster

*2025-01-11, version 3.0.29*

Way overpriced for what you get. Fitness apps have come a long way. This feels about 10 years behind other fitness apps

### 1/5 — Got screwed on the membership

*2024-11-22*

I saw the offer to sign up for the 1 year , 99 dollars. Then I signed up and somehow I’m stuck with 50 dollars for three months. What happened? The support didn’t help. Please refund me before the sale ends.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2024-11-20, version 1.0.4*

Start program button does not work. I paid for the subscription and I am unable to access or begin any of the workout programs.

### 2/5 — Lazy Design

*2026-01-18, version 3.1.1*

For starters with this app, is there no free trial so there’s no way to even test it out. The description doesn’t even really tell you what you are buying. I put in my calculations for my body, 190 lbs, 5’10”, 37 inch waist circumference, and it said my goals body weight was 275 pounds… the description of the app says it includes the movie star body program; it does not. You can’t even really preview the workouts you select. I click through every week of a program and it just shows the workout for the first week. There’s no nutritional tracking. Definitely not worth the money. Giving it two stars instead of 1 because it does at least allow you to input your weights and reps. Reviews from over a year ago describe issues with the app, which I thought would have been resolved, but clearly there’s been no further development on this since the initial launch. Super disappointed in this purchase. No idea why it’s getting 4-5 stars from people.

### 3/5 — Major room for improvement

*2026-03-17, version 3.1.6*

Two UX decisions that are really annoying:

1 - please no supplement ads in a paid app. Greg has better channels to advertise this. Don’t f. your paid customers.

2 - It is very easy to cancel the workout by mistakenly swiping left. The timer and counter will reset, you’ll lose your progress.

3 (bonus) - Workout videos/text need to be more descriptive. A basic how to/attention points should suffice. You can batch AI generate this nowadays and feed into your app.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2026-02-13, version 3.1.4*

Ok

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Max gains

*2026-01-23, version 3.1.2*

Great programs

### 5/5 — Next-Level Workouts

*2026-01-21, version 3.1.1*

I had been working out on my own before starting to use this app, with a certain degree of success. But I have a home gym and because it’s accessible to me 24/7, sometimes it’s hard to motivate myself to do it. Using the app creates an easy way for me to track the exercises and my progress, as well as opening the app, and following the directions creates a sort of external accountability, including the automatic timer, the app uses between sets. Once you log the weight/reps on that set, the timer starts. It feels a bit like going to the gym. Even if you don’t feel like working out, once you’re standing in the gym, you might as well exercise. As long as I walk into my living room and open the app, I’m successful because I’m not going to sit on my bench with the app open and *not* lift.

Also, he has super helpful video and written instructions regarding not just what to lift, but how, as well as nutrition info, and more. And there are multiple different types of workouts in the app along with additional customization, so it really can be a great fit for anyone. Loving this app!

### 5/5 — Love it, thank you Greg.

*2026-01-14, version 3.1.1*

Easy to use and already seeing a physical and mental shift in the last 2 weeks.

### 5/5 — Unreal Program

*2025-09-25, version 3.0.37*

### 5/5 — App is a game changer 🙌

*2025-09-16, version 3.0.37*

The app has a lot of great programs that I’ve been able to follow to help improve my health and physique.

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2025-08-14, version 3.0.37*

Best fitness app I’ve used.

### 5/5 — Best workout app I have ever had

*2025-07-23, version 3.0.37*

This is the best workout app I’ve ever had. Shows you exactly what workouts to do in video. Tracks progress. Makes me feel like I’m moving the ball forward with my physique. Thank you Greg we all need this app!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-07-13, version 3.0.37*

This app is great for keeping track of your previous and current progress in terms of weight and reps. Makes it simple to follow the workout plan based on your goals.

### 5/5 — Love this

*2025-06-30, version 3.0.37*

The automatic timer is great, it helps me get way quicker trough my workouts & take advantage of my time at the gym like never before 🙏🏻

### 5/5 — The best!

*2025-01-20, version 3.0.30*

I started using Kinobody 9 years ago when I didn’t know how to lift. The way Greg breaks it down into a lifestyle really resonated with me and still does. I’m biased because this is the first program I ever bought into, but I can honestly say that it’s one of the best purchases I ever made. The results I made in just a few months boosted my confidence, supercharged my gains, and honestly changed my life.

I’ve tried almost every other method of lifting out there but I keep coming back to the Kinobody philosophy of building strength to build muscle with reverse pyramid on these key lifts. I absolutely loved the e-book format of the old programs and I am stoked to see that there’s an app now. I subscribed just to support the hustle. Cheers Greg!
