### 3/5 — .

.

### 3/5 — Wish it would sync up

*2026-05-11, version 3.17.14*

I wish it would sync up with husband on his app on his phone as it does on mine

### 2/5 — Poor design

*2026-04-01, version 3.17.13*

The app won’t let me record my temperature if I don’t have an Internet connection. WTH?

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-03-10, version 3.17.10*

Ear thermometer is incorrectly showing 96. I’ve tested three other thermometers (different brands) and are correctly showing a fever of over 100.

### 2/5 — Great potential

*2026-02-17, version 3.17.6*

I love the idea of the app. A few issues I am having are: 1) thermometer not connecting all of the time. When I try to enter the temperature manually, the digits displayed only allow two numbers…and there is a sliding BAR! That I need to scroll to enter the manual temp. So clearly it’s a huge problem that after 10 o can’t see! So I don’t know if I’m at 101 or 102, or 105.5.

Then, once I enter the wrong manual temp…I can’t edit it. If I accidentally had the thermometer connect to the wrong family member I can’t delete the temp from
Their history. So lots of issues that somehow I did not experience when we first got the thermometer. Great potential but too many issues make it frustrating

### 4/5 — Great- just a bug or two

*2025-12-19, version 3.17.2*

I’ve been using this app since COVID and everything’s been great. It’s really great to be able to keep a log of everything especially if multiple people in the house are sick. It’s been a very valuable tool for our family.

However after the last update, every time I attempt to change the time that I administered medicine the app crashes. Last night I forgot to record what time I gave my kiddo meds and I went to add it now (next morning) but when I tried to change the time to last night it crashed.

Otherwise this is a great app and takes a lot of the stress off of me. Before finding Kinsa I did everything on paper and half the time I was trying to find the paper that I was keeping a log on.

### 1/5 — Utterly Invasive

*2025-09-21, version 3.14.0*

These companies should be required to add “Our product is useless unless you allow us to pillage your private data with a required app”. Literally the last thermometer on the shelf and I can’t check my sick child’s temperature unless I give up my rights to protect her privacy. I spend $40 on a thermometer but I don’t own the product, I am the product.

### 1/5 — Not compatible with original Kinsa

*2025-09-18, version 3.14.0*

What the heck? Why create an update that completely excludes the original device? There’s literally no reason to make it obsolete. It’s literally still brand new in its case.

I hope this company realizes they’re are a disgrace.

### 5/5 — Muy excelente

*2025-09-09, version 3.14.0*

Uno de los mejores medidores de temperatura que honestamente recomiendo muy organizado y muy buen asesoramiento para los que somos papás demasiado favorable

### 1/5 — Thermometers won’t work until you get the app

*2025-08-20, version 3.14.0*

It makes no sense that I would have to install this app before I can even use my thermometer. There’s no choice. Let me know on the package that the app is available…. Don’t force it on me.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — did not connect my thermometer

*2026-06-22, version 3.18.0*

why do i need an app for a thermometer? RETURNED. couldn’t even take my dads temperature. so insane

### 1/5 — Worst Possible Product Design

*2026-02-27, version 3.17.10*

I went to CVS looking for a thermometer and grabbed one off the shelf. The Kinsa thermometer made me download an app to even use it and then I had to spend several minutes troubleshooting connection. The interface was entirely unintuitive so I didn’t even know when it was connected or how to read a temperature. I don’t understand how it’s possible to make such a simple task—reading temperature—so complicated. If I ever see a Kinsa product I will steer clear.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2026-02-26, version 3.17.10*

It’s the middle of the night. Your baby seems hot and sick. You want to take a temperature to see if you need to call a doctor or go to an ER. But before you can, you have to download an app, agree to an end user agreement, create a profile and a user, pair the device with a smartphone, and troubleshoot any of those things that go wrong. Even after the first time, make sure that the parent with the app downloaded and device paired is home and get ready to close pop up adds offering their virtual doctor consults. End stage capitalism at its worst.

### 1/5 — Don't force an account

*2026-02-18, version 3.17.6*

My kid is sick and you want me to sign up for an account before i can figure out how to change it from celsius. Get a grip

### 1/5 — Requires login. That’s dumb.

*2026-02-08, version 3.17.4*

Requires login. That’s dumb.

### 1/5 — App locked tool

*2026-01-11, version 3.17.4*

This APP and the company behind it require the app to allow there thermometers to work. This is incredibly unethical as it a necessary home care tool and not everyone wants to allow a faceless corporation to know their personal medical information. They claim all sorts of silly functions, but I am will to bet it’s major feature is selling your information.

### 1/5 — App is broken

*2025-12-24, version 3.17.3*

Impossible to login “The operation couldn’t be completed after recent update”.

### 1/5 — Latest update broke login

*2025-12-24, version 3.17.3*

Latest update seems to have broken the app completely. It gets stuck in a “Login” / “Retry” loop and never gets past the error, so I can’t access anything.

It’s also frustrating that logging in is required just to view or record my temperature data. If the cloud service is having issues, I should still be able to access previously saved data and record new temperatures locally. Right now the app becomes unusable without internet.

Please fix the login loop and make offline/local data access the default, with cloud sync as optional.

### 1/5 — Stopped Syncing with Apple Health

*2025-11-12, version 3.16.0*

The Kinsa app stoped syncing with Apple Health after phone was upgraded to iOS 26.1 on November 8, 2025.

I have followed all the instructions on syncing, and have also tried deleting and re-installing the app.

### 1/5 — I would give a half star if I could

*2025-09-26, version 3.15.0*

Went to CVS sick. Needed a thermometer. Bought this. It was the ONLY thermometer in CVS. Feeling terrible because I was sick. Try to take my temperature. It prompts me to download AN APP????????????????? The most useless product ever created. I hope the creators of this product understand that their “innovation” has only made the straightforward, utilitarian device we call the thermometer infinitely more difficult with absolutely no improvement. The kicker?? I don’t even have a fever. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best thermometer ever

*2026-05-09, version 3.17.14*

This thermometer has been a lifesaver whilst having multiple kids sick at the same time. It helps you keep track of everything- medicine temperature, symptoms. It’s amazing. Everything is automatically logged so you don’t have to keep track yourself or try to remember. This is a must have thermometer for Moms.

### 5/5 — Best thing ever!

*2026-03-01, version 3.17.10*

### 5/5 — Tracking temperature

This app is awesome to track temperature, medication and or symptoms tracker. Can use with multiple kids. It’s awesome, especially if you have more than one child!

### 5/5 — Must have with kids

*2025-12-11, version 3.17.0*

This thermometer is honestly a game changer. It’s easy to use and records each of my children’s temperatures. I am so happy I got it. I’ve been using it for years and have only had a pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Kinsa Thermometer is Amazing!

*2025-11-30, version 3.17.0*

Best thermometer out there hands down. Immediate accurate temp readings of oral, auxiliary, & rectal. The App is extremely thorough! It alerts you when to call the doctor or when to head to the ER. It also keeps track of all temps taken for up to 3 family members by keeping a history under each profile. It asks if family members are UTD w/ flu shots & asks for the date in which it was administered. It also allows you to take note of when you gave medicine & reminds you when to take the next temperature. IT’S AN EXCELLENT APP! I can’t recommend it enough!

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-11-25, version 3.16.0*

Fast and accurate thermometer. App works well and can be very helpful in tracking symptoms

### 5/5 — Update on Stopped Syncing with Apple Health

*2025-11-14, version 3.16.0*

This morning the Kinsa app opened with a slight delay and message at the bottom of the screen that seemed to indicate something was updating. When I then took a reading, it immediately synced to Apple Health. The readings between 11/9 and 11/13 inclusive did not sync, but I can enter a couple of days manually.

The Kinsa app stoped syncing with Apple Health after phone was upgraded to iOS 26.1 on November 8, 2025.

I have followed all the instructions on syncing, and have also tried deleting and re-installing the app.

### 5/5 — Perfect for all ages
