## What is Kintsugi?

Repair a form. Keep a piece.

Kintsugi Atelier is a tactile creative studio inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and gold. Rather than hiding a crack, kintsugi makes the join part of the object’s story.

The word kintsugi brings together kin, meaning gold, and tsugi, meaning union. Its deeper idea is simple: what has been broken can be given a second life without pretending it was never changed. The restored piece is not the same as before. It becomes one of a kind.

Kintsugi Atelier brings that idea into an intimate digital ritual. Choose a ceramic form, break it into fragments, and take part in its transformation. Rotate each piece, bring it back together with your hands, explore its surface, and trace the join with gold. Add colour, patterns, finishes, and other details to make the restoration your own.

Every gesture leaves a mark. Each repair is different. The result is not a copy of what existed before, but a new form of beauty.
