### 3/5 — neue Helligkeitseinstellung schlecht

*2019-11-30*

### 4/5 — Email link

*2019-08-13*

I have noticed that an Email Link I have incorporated on my websites does not work in Kiosk Pro Lite. They do work elsewhere.

### 4/5 — Scöne App, macht was es soll.

*2019-02-02*

Mit jilbreak noch besser mit "Protecti".

### 2/5 — This app will hose your iPad

*2015-10-10*

We needed this app for a work project. Originally the app did just what it advertised but then the iPad began acting strangely. Even with the app disabled the iPad began running extremely slow in other apps. Then the screen rotation began to malfunction, not allowing a screen rotation unless you swiped to next page of apps. We eventually removed the app and the iPad returned to normal. Buggy?

### 2/5 — Works. But barely.

*2013-06-25*

There's absolutely no way to clear the cache. What use is this if it won't display the latest version of my website? I'm not paying $5 for the full version if I can't even test it on the lite first.

### 1/5 — Junk and WAY TOO complicated

*2013-01-01*

Tried to use this to do simple functions but iOS guided access is easier and better

### 2/5 — Painfully slow

*2012-06-27*

Painfully slow browser, running the exciting experience of the iPad by making browsing tortuous.

### 1/5 — Links out not blocked

*2011-08-29*

The app allows off site links to domains that are not on the list of approved domains... Since the site we want people to use is not under our control, this allows access to potentially problematic sites. If this is fixed, this review could be a 5.

### 5/5 — GREAT app! Turn iPad into a kiosk

*2011-01-09*

This app turns your iPad into a kiosk. It is exactly what I was looking for. Very easy to setup and use. Great for using with public events and data collection. Love it!! I upgraded to pro for the $2.99 just to thank them for making such a useful tool.

### 1/5 — What… haha

*2026-08-15*

Uk Business owner looking to integrate this system into our stockists locations. 30 minutes in, no further forward. Entered 4 different payment cards, says we have got a seat whatever that means. Unable to launch kiosk display, just comes up with free trial with card information. Very confusing, is this company still trading

### 1/5 — Blindsided

*2026-07-31*

I don’t use the app enough to justify paying for it, there’s no reason they needed to discontinue the basic free version. I am not paying a subscription to display a single web page. I just wish they had given some notice so I’d have time to find an alternate. It’s a shame, because this used to be a really good app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry that this caught you off guard. We let our newsletter subscribers know of the upcoming changes, but Apple doesn't provide us with end-user data, so we weren't able to let every user know. Good luck with your kiosk project, and please feel free to reach out if you have questions: software-support@kioskgroup.com

### 1/5 — Was free. Now, unexpectedly, paid…

*2026-07-23*

Turned up to an event to find myself locked out of my site, and this app now wants me to go through a migration process and pay. Screwed up my kiosk process as a result and left me without anything usable in the meantime. Stay away. I understand the dev doesn’t have a list of everyone who downloaded—but how about a pop up for a couple of months to alert people to the upcoming change, rather than leaving them stranded on site?

**Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear the update caught you off guard. We let users know of the upcoming changes in our newsletter, but Apple doesn't provide us with end-user data, so we weren't able to let every user know. I realize it's too late for your event, but if you have any questions please feel free to reach out at software-support@kioskgroup.com

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-07-05*

Free version is now completely useless now. Will never pay for paid subscription junk.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that your experience wasn’t positive. To help us understand how we can improve, could you please share specific details with our team by contacting us at software-support@kioskgroup.com?

### 1/5 — Bait and switch app

*2026-07-01*

What was an app that had a free version that had all settings local and air gapped from needing an internet connection quickly turned into a pay for free trial, online only, AI slop unstable app. Used to point the app to an on network webpage. Now you can’t make any changes without needing a credit card prompt being filled in first. Just use chrome for full page data collection.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that this transition has not been a good experience for you. To continue supporting our apps, we needed to develop a subscription model and decided to offer a kiosk site builder and management dashboard to help make the subscription worthwhile, as this has been a common request from users.

If you'd like to email us at software-support@kioskgroup.com we can help troubleshoot the issue you're seeing with your local network page not working in order to resolve the problem.

### 1/5 — Paid version is terrible

*2026-07-01*

Before I could assign different links to auto start at different iPads, now it goes to a site which needs to launch through their online portal and there is no auto assignment.
Managing these sites is a nightmare as well and they don't launch, sitting on: “ Connecting to your kiosk”
Locally hosted (LAN http://192.168.1.xxx) websites don’t launch without internet connection either.

You guys really did a number on this App. Charging is fine, understandable, but you messed up the functionality in a major way.

**Developer response:** Hi Igor, thank you for your feedback. I'd like to address a couple of points:

Kiosk Pro Lite has never supported offline use of locally stored content and has always required an internet connection. Linking a specific device to a site automatically is no longer possible due to architectural changes in how the system is designed.

The "Connecting to your kiosk" error shouldn't be happening and we'd like to help troubleshoot this issue with you. Could you reach out to our support team at software-support@kioskgroup.com so we can get your setup working properly?

We appreciate your patience as we continue improving the app.

### 1/5 — Crippled an excellent app

*2026-06-29*

You’ve added “features” I will never use and forced a subscription to use the basic app - which is just a locked browser - so it no longer accesses my local dashboard. Sharp practice.

Prospective buyers, there are alternatives out there. Suggest you try those before committing.

This is a shame as I was on the verge of moving on from this version to one of the paid apps, but subs? No.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand why this change is disappointing, especially if the new features aren't ones you'll personally use.

For more than a decade, Kiosk Pro Lite has been available free of charge. During that time we've continued to maintain, support, and improve the app without requiring a subscription. As development and ongoing support costs have grown, moving to a subscription model became necessary to ensure we can continue investing in the product over the long term.

The first major features we've introduced are aimed primarily at addressing the most common requests we receive from prospective customers and new customers over the years. We recognize those improvements may not provide immediate value for every long-time user. That's one of the reasons we've introduced a limited-time migration price of just $2 per device per month for existing users - less than half of the standard $5 per device per month subscription for new customers. Even at that reduced rate, it doesn't fully offset our development investment, but we wanted to make the transition as affordable as possible for the customers who have supported us over the years.

This is only the beginning of our roadmap. Future updates will continue to be driven by customer feedback, and we genuinely read and consider every suggestion we receive. In fact, the features released so far were built in response to the single most common request from our customers.

If you decide to stay with us, we'd love to hear what features would make the subscription worthwhile for you. You can always reach us at software-support@kioskgroup.com.

Whether you continue with Kiosk Pro Lite or choose another solution, we sincerely appreciate that you've used our software, and we hope it has been valuable to you over the years.

### 1/5 — Now pay walled

*2026-06-29*

After 15 years of being a free app. They’ve rug pulled you and the latest update forces it to be a paid app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this change has caused.

You're absolutely right that Kiosk Pro Lite has been free for 15 years, and we understand how jarring this transition must feel. This wasn't a decision we made lightly.

The reality is that maintaining and updating Kiosk Pro Lite to work with new iOS versions, security requirements, and hardware has become increasingly resource-intensive. The subscription model allows us to continue providing reliable updates, bug fixes, and support, which we simply couldn't sustain with the free model any longer, as well as introduce new features that improve the app experience.

If you have specific concerns about the pricing or features, please reach out to our support team directly. We're listening to all feedback as we navigate this transition.

### 1/5 — Abstürze

*2016-03-06*

### 1/5 — Malware/spyware

*2014-01-22*

I can't use this product because it has been blacklisted by my company due to spyware and malware. They have been on the blacklist twice due to similar activity. So users beware if you are using this product. I'm hoping they will fix their system so they get off the blacklist. This seems like a great product.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great customer service and app

*2022-02-22, version 10.3*

The app works really well and is easy to set up. Customer service is also amazing. They helped me out right away when we were having some technical issues.

### 5/5 — Great free app

*2021-08-24*

I use Kiosk Pro Lite as an interface to my home automation system using an iPad2 and it does everything that I need. The support team were more than helpful when I had a question. Not bad for a free app.

### 5/5 — Works a treat

*2020-02-13*

Can’t complain. It works exactly the way we want it to

### 5/5 — Great customer service

*2019-10-23*

I was hired at a visitor center that had these iPads out for display except they were no longer working correctly. A couple of emails with one of their staff members, Chris Grooms, and everything was fixed. He even converted one of my files for me. I really appreciated the extra effort.

### 5/5 — Cool....

*2019-09-04*

Läuft einwandfrei und ohne Abstürze. In den Settings die Zeit für den automatischen Refresh auf die längste Laufzeit eines Videos einstellen. Ich hab es jetzt eine Woche lang getestet. Gut!

### 5/5 — Well thought out and executed

*2016-12-18*

Exactly what is needed for our sports Hall of Fame and Museum... we will almost certainly be moving up to more deluxe version to gain screen dim (according to museum opening hours etc.) But for trials/proof of concept this shows the ability to do all the essentials including different home page than our web (so kiosk can focus on Honoured Members of the Hall), automatic return to home after definable lack of activity, optional max single user time, prohibit using links to go off site., and many more.
Really well executed app.

### 5/5 — Very good app

*2013-11-01, version 3.4.1*

I have used this app a couple of times and it is very could. I ended up buying the pro version for £27 as it allowed me to have a local video file I could use as a screen save.

Try this one out and then buy the expensive one as the features are really worth it. I had a very happy client so what more could you ask for!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2012-06-18*

Exactly what I was looking for! Ty. I'm gonna buy the full version so I don't need an Internet connection to view my web pages

### 5/5 — Very good app lacks lock settings feature

*2011-04-25*

Very good, turns your ipad to a kiosk. Infact the perfect one. Just need lock settings feature and if possible logs as well.

### 5/5 — Great Idea!

*2011-03-03*

With the use of a secure housing as shown in the app listing, this is a great use of ipad for trade shows and exhibitions. You only have to design your web pages to work within the constraints of the ipad and you a have a reliable and cost effective presentation platform. Well done!
