## What is Kip?

Kip turns running into something you do with people, not just past them.

Open the map and see group runs happening near you. Tap a pin to view the route, the pace, who's going, and when it starts — then RSVP in one tap. Found your people? Follow them and they become your running buddies, so you never miss the next one.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

- Discover runs nearby — a live map of group runs around you, with distance, pace, meeting spot, and start time.
- RSVP in a tap — join a run, see the attendee list, and get a heads-up before it starts.
- Host your own — pick a spot, set a time and pace, and invite your crew. First-timers and 5K-pace regulars both welcome.
- Weekly series — set up a recurring run once and let it repeat; subscribers get every occurrence.
- Chat with attendees — coordinate meetup details in each run's group chat, hosts included.
- Build your buddy list — follow the people you run with and keep up with their upcoming runs.
- Your running profile — show your usual pace and distance, and see the runs you've joined and hosted.
- Stay in control — block and report anyone, and choose exactly which notifications you want.

BUILT FOR REAL-WORLD MEETUPS

Kip uses your location to show runs near you, place the ones you host, and — only when you choose — share your live position with someone during a run. You decide when sharing starts and stops, who you follow, and who can reach you.

Whether you're chasing a PR, easing back in, or just want company for the miles, Kip helps you find the run, find the pace, and find your crew.

Lace up. Run together.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-22

Sign in faster with Google, now available alongside Apple and email sign-in.

We've also polished the sign-in screen so every option feels consistent, and included reliability and accessibility improvements throughout the app.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-14

This update fixes signup navigation after the Safety & Waiver step. You can now open the full waiver, return to the agreement, accept it, and continue directly into Kip.

It also includes reliability and accessibility fixes.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-10

Routes are here.

- Draw a route on the map when you create a run — tap waypoints and Kip snaps them to real streets and trails, with distance and elevation.
- Import a route from a GPX file, or from a workout already in Apple Health.
- See the route on the run's map before you commit, and export it as GPX.
- Check in together — the host shows a QR code at the meetup, and runners who scan it earn a "Met in person" badge.
- Share your live location with a friend during a run, viewable in any browser — no account needed.
- Safer chat — messages are screened before they send, and anything harmful is blocked.

Plus a faster map, clearer empty states, and a pile of fixes.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-07-09
