韓国語を旅行に行っても困らないレベルで話せる日本人で、今は英語と中国語を勉強中です。フレーズなど何回も練習できます。モードがあり厳しく評価してくれたり、優しく親切に発音を教えてくれたり褒めてくれたりします。しかし、AIと話す時に聞き取ってくれるものの発音は正確ではないと違うものとして認識されてしまいそのまま会話が進んじゃいます。訂正でき、文字で打ち込めますがかなり自信がないと続かない気がします。
でも、頑張って続けるぞと言う意気込みがある方なら神アプリだと思います！

I use this for Japanese and I do see improvements. 

However it’s super demotivating to be greeted every single time with “you lost your streak”.

Not everyone has the time to practice every day and not everyone wants to hit a streak. Especially when balancing multiple other priorities in life.

Just allow users to switch off this feature please.

気軽に英語を話す練習ができていいなとアプリを入れたけど、会話の精度がたまにおかしいかも。
自分の発音が悪いせいもあると思いますが、全然違う言葉で認識されちゃって会話がおかしくなる時がちょいちょいある笑

会話自体は楽しくて気に入ってたけど、アイコン変わってるな久しぶりに立ち上げたら腕の折れたキッピーにギャン泣きされて最悪な気分になったのでアプリ消しました。（連続記録が途切れると骨折するらしい）
いくら二次元キャラでも扱いが酷すぎる。やめてあげて。

-Please include ping ying all the time for Chinese -Allow manual saving of vocab -Also give us access to pocket dictionary for some vocab we may not know-Some of the suggestions sometimes end up needing correction after spoken in conversation -Is there a way to save a conversation to pick up on later? -Sometimes there are alternatives or synonyms that can be used which could be an area you guys could explore. Maybe include a drop-down of all the common alternative ways to phrase something or word something and include explanation on connotations?

Do reach out from inside the app if interested to hear what's on our roadmap and have a chance to shape it! :) To answer your questions: Swipe left on the message that was misunderstood. You can edit it manually or delete it. This way the conversation won't turn into a direction you did not intend. There is currently no history of conversations; we're working on something quite cool in this area. Alternatives - great idea, will do! Did you know you can swipe left in the suggestions and create your own suggestion that will appear in the list for you to practice and use as a reply? Pinyin and Romanji are coming soon, too! Do get in touch with other feedback. 🙏

韓国語で利用しています。
Kippyと話しかけると、韓国語では키피なのですが、必ず킾이(深さ)と変換されてしまい、話しが変な方向にいってしまいます。このアプリを利用したいと思う人は、키피と킾이を使い分けて発音できない人が大半だと思うので、키피の認識をもっとスムーズにしていけたらやりやすいです。。
発音が悪いのだと思いますが，他にもかなり誤変換されるので、今のところストレスの方が多いです。

I have had this app for about 2 weeks now and have been using it daily. There’s definitely great engagement by gamifying it by hitting your daily “speaking goal”, which you set for yourself. From my experience speaking languages I’ve learned has always been difficult. There’s this freeze thing that happens, that many language learners I know experience. The use of this app over a short amount of time has already improved my confidence in speaking and pushing through that freezing barrier. The more you speak to Kippy, the more Kippy understands. Even when I feel like I didn’t pronounce something entirely correctly, Kippy seems to understand and gets my point. I love the options to make it easier or difficult with conversations so see the translations and suggested responses or not. I’m currently learning French, and I can’t wait to practice more every day and then put everything to the test in my French classes. I think this app is a perfect supplement to formal classes.

I tried chatting with ChatGPT and it kind of works, but this app supercharges the experience.  I like the helpful and relevant suggestions to help you along when your brain freezes.  I like the variety of topics.  And as much as I find it painful, I like the feedback on pronunciation.

you need a base knowledge of the language, this app would not be useful for a raw beginner, and it’s not a substitute for actually studying language,  but it’s super useful.

The broken wing icon makes me feel really bad and uncomfortable. Would be appreciate if there’s a new design. The idea is somehow interesting though

ひとまず1週間だけ試そうと思い900円お支払いしたのに、実際に使おうとするとまた「お名前は何ですか？」と聞かれ設定から始まり、プランの選択までさっきやったのと同じ流れ。もう支払ったのに？結局何も使えてないです。もう辞めたいので900円返して！

I tried this out for German. It would constantly add bizarre words that I did not say. It’s not even that my pronunciation is bad. I had a native speaker speak to it briefly and it was horrible. Do not recommend.

I’m an English speaker trying to learn French and my phone language is set to French.  For unknown reasons, the Kippy app walked me through the configuration in SPANISH (which I know well enough to follow) even though I said my native language is English and I want to learn French, sometimes prompting me to speak French in Spanish with an unintelligible English accent .

It was just a total fail.

Mir gefällt die App sehr gut, die Konversation macht Spaß, man wird korrigiert und verbessert und erhält Vorschläge. Der Übersetzer funktioniert sehr gut, man kann die Wörter und Sätze speichern. Am meisten mag ich das Training der Aussprache, man erhält eine Bewertung zur Genauigkeit, Geläufigkeit, Vollständigkeit und Aussprache insgesamt. Tolle Funktion und hat mir schon sehr geholfen meine Aussprache zu verbessern.
