### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2022-04-20, version 4.15.0*

Since downloading the update, my app has failed to do more than recognize one hearing aid from a “search” mode. The instructions tell me to press “pair” in the dialog box which doesn’t exist. My hearing aids are FS661. I have been very pleased with the ability to customize them to fit most situations but that option no longer is available. My only ability to make changes is under the “accessibility “ section of “settings” not Kirkland Choice App. Very disappointed!!

### 2/5 — Worked great for years, but not now.

*2022-01-13, version 4.15.0*

It appears the locked Automatic Iphone feature is still a problem. I cannot get it out of that mode. I have tried everything, I can no longer use my basic, restaurant, music or car choice, it is stuck on an automatic iphone program that is horrible. It has really messed up my ability to use my hearing aids efficiently. I can temporarily get it out by taking each hearing aid and opening the battery door three times on each hearing aid to kill the connection, then you can reset the batteries one more time and it will go back to the old programs. But it doesn’t last long, eventually it locks you out and again your are stuck with just one program, (Automatic Iphone). I will soon call Costco and complain their app doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Does not support iPhone 13

*2021-12-17, version 4.15.0*

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the are supporting yet. Very disappointing.LolyBat

### 1/5 — Won’t stay paired with my phone

*2021-06-30, version 4.9.0*

My Kirkland hearing aids won’t stay paired with my iPhone 12 unless they are within one foot.
It’s not the phone because it pairs to my other devices. It’s either an app issue or the hearing aids.

### 2/5 — Stuck on pairing

*2021-06-27, version 4.9.0*

The APP doesn’t recognize that I’ve paired the hearing aids in Settings as directed. It’s stuck on telling me to pair again. There is no (obvious to me) way to move past this. I’ve deleted and reinstalled to no avail. Very disappointing. Hopefully an update will fix it. Currently I’m stuck with only one hearing aid that seems to be working and I’ve no way to check what is going on.

### 1/5 — Can’t get the app to connect

*2021-06-12, version 4.9.0*

Tried multiple times to get the act to see my hearing aids but can’t get it to work at all.

### 1/5 — This app is useless.

*2021-06-06, version 4.9.0*

The app is pointless. I’ve had this app for over 4 years. A Bluetooth refresh or more control of how hearing aids are controlled by my phone would be amazing. Especially a lock Bluetooth connection on function.

### 1/5 — Broke KS6

*2021-02-27, version 4.7.0*

Been using this app since it was created. Never perfect but always essential. The latest version (4.7.0) broke the KS6 functionality. Finally paired after many attempts but would not import presets. Could not switch presets using buttons on hearing aids while connected to iPhone. Continued to get 4 loud tones (Bluetooth enabled tones?) at regular intervals. Erasing and restoring the phone from an old backup was the only way to rollback the update.

### 1/5 — App has way too many weaknesses

*2021-02-21, version 4.7.0*

Costco and developers need to read the reviews. Most of the current low ratings comments address my complaints.

### 3/5 — Better but not good

*2021-02-14, version 4.7.0*

Connects to my aids much easier than previous versions, but does not stay connected. Moving within the same medium sized room from the dinner table to the tv area, and they disconnected.

### 1/5 — Slow, poor and no End-User feedback loop

*2020-11-07, version 4.4.0*

This app has several flaws:
1) if you create and save a custom profile, it’s ONLY usable while this app is running. It should ALSO have its OWN “tone” and should be accessible by pressing either ear’s button (which advances to the next prime-set when pressed.
2) Any “tone” or “Speech” soft buttons are only available for the current “Pre-set” and are reset when you advance to another pre-set. There needs to be an option to SAVE the modified “Pre-set” so when I move to the next one I don’t lose my change.

### 2/5 — Won’t stay connected

*2020-10-11, version 4.3.5*

I’m always losing connection. It is always a challenge to get reconnected! Very poor app!

### 1/5 — Like the hearing aids but....

*2020-09-20, version 4.3.5*

Most of the time this app will not connect to both aids and this has been going on ever since I got these aids almost 5 years ago

### 1/5 — Utter crap

*2020-09-20, version 4.3.5*

Deleting this app. Useless.

### 1/5 — Just poor

*2020-09-13, version 4.3.5*

I have had KS 6 for a few years now. Choice never worked well. Navigator is even worse. Just bought new iPhone se 2020. Now can pair to only one of the two hearing aids. Navigator will not function. And irritatingly when I try to end nonfunctioning navigator it’s options are “stay here” or “ go to demo”. How about “quit” which is what I want to do and what I will do concerning future resound hearing aid purchases

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone XR

*2020-08-01, version 4.3.5*

Upgraded my iPhone 6 to an iPhone XR and now hearing aids won’t connect or work.

### 1/5 — Do not bother

*2020-06-22, version 4.3.5*

The Kirkland choice app is crap. It works only on occasion. I have an iPhone 6s and the app is constantly telling me to pair the hearing aids, even though they are working fine. Don’t bother loading it, not worth your frustration.

### 1/5 — App prevents pairing with iPhone

*2020-05-30, version 4.3.5*

This app, as other reviewers have said is useless. In fact it’s worse than useless, it defeats the MFI feature of the Kirkland Hearing aids. It blocks my hearing aids from pairing with my iPhone. I deleted the app and no longer have pairing problems. I miss the option of having the “find my hearing aids” feature that the app provides, but the trade off is not worth it.

The app has some really nice features that could help me tailor my hearing aids to my environment. I would be terrific if it hung on to the connection. Hoping for an update!

### 1/5 — Kirkland choice

*2020-05-28*

This is the worst app I have used. I ungraded to an X-ray iPhone and my hearing aides cut in and out so many times I just turn off this app. You need to bring back the old app or make them use able. I am thinking I will change hearing sides when it is time for new ones. Kirkland sucks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Made my hearing aids useless.

*2025-08-07, version 4.37.0*

All it does now is cycle thru the programmed settings binging every second. Even hits my TV boxes too. I was happy to see an update after so many years of service but now, just useless. Hope a fix can be offered soon!

### 1/5 — Bad bad bad

*2025-07-09, version 4.35.0*

The original app worked great and then I loaded the update and it has not worked very good sat all! You can only use one setting that you have saved without rebooting the iPhone and then reconnecting again to change your saved setting you want!

### 1/5 — Always in search mode

*2024-11-16, version 4.33.1*

App worked great for many years but now it always seems to be in search mode. It’s a pain when 1 or both disconnect and I have to take my aids out, open doors, close doors, pair aids then they work great for 10 minutes then 1 goes into search mode. I also now only have control over volume. I lost my favorite channels and options to control bass

### 1/5 — Crappy

*2024-07-10*

The app says Kirkland 6.0. I have Kirkland Premium 10.0. Unable to find, pair or use.

### 1/5 — DON'T UPDATE

*2023-10-30, version 4.29.0*

Worked well for five years. Responded to notification update available, NO LONGER WORKS. Tried jiggling the handle a little, then smacked the side a few times, that got it to work for a minute just one side at a time. Tried removing app, forget device, reboot downloaded again, the phone Saw it for a second, then off again... kicked it a few times but just laid there. Using I-phone 14 ;)
Very surprised that in 2023 Costco has employees flying to Colombia to over see coffee selection, France for wines, They've been rebranding and selling off the shelf hearing aids for at least 15 years making a pile of money at it; but haven't pulled a dollar to build a better app. They save me to upgrade to the rechargeable model claiming the tech in my Kirk's is just too old.
Another words even though they're not broke, just join the toss away society mentality and spend another 2k$
They'll sell you new hardware but continue the same weak software,,, First good app with any other brand from any place order than Costco gets my order

### 1/5 — Hearing aids

*2023-05-15, version 4.25.0*

These hearing are wasteful of money

### 1/5 — Needs update

*2022-08-29, version 4.19.0*

The app worked fine until I updated the iOS on my iPhone 12 to v15.6.1. The app and the phone recognize my KS 661 HAs but the app won’t complete pairing even after the phone has paired.

### 1/5 — App no longer works!

*2022-08-09, version 4.19.0*

I’ve used this app off and on for several years with my hearing aids (non rechargeable batteries), but I can no longer connect them to this app. It says it can’t find them and to turn off Bluetooth. So I turned off Bluetooth, but then, on restart, it says I must have Bluetooth on to use the app. My aids are not connected to any other device, only the one with the app.

### 1/5 — Junk app

*2022-05-06, version 4.15.0*

App is garbage .. don’t even waste your time to download it. It doesn’t work with the latest iOS for iPhone X .. I use the phone function itself to run them now - this app is a colossal failure .

### 1/5 — Latest update

*2022-03-22, version 4.15.0*

The latest update by Apple has completely screwed up my ability to use the KSC app. The problem lies within the settings menu where it does not allow the setting of the same program, but will will automatically set up two different settings such as softswitch and music at the same time.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Always Works Great ⭐️

*2021-11-21, version 4.13.0*

The negative reviews seem to be based on problems with the actual hearing aids versus the app, as well as things that the hearing specialist needs to add on or adjust or correct!

### 5/5 — The app used to hang, now works great

*2019-11-05, version 4.1.1*

This is an review update, I finally got home from traveling, and was able to delete and reinstall this app. Once reinstalled, it works perfectly.
My hearing aids will now pair with my phone with no problems, and will stay connected. All incoming phone calls and streaming works, and I can fine tune my hearing aids as before.
Great app once again.
———original review————
I just updated the app and now the app just hangs upon startup. It never gets past the splash logo of a graphic ear. It doesn’t respond to any finger taps. The only thing I can do is swipe up to delete it.
The app interface from the Control Center still works and is the only way to semi-control the hearing aids.

### 5/5 — Improved

*2019-10-16, version 4.1.1*

Version 4.1.1 solves some recent issues. Much improved. I like it.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-08-17, version 4.0.1*

This app is the best out there. It makes buying Resound earring aids a must. I’ve tried the other apps for Costco hearing aids and none are really any good at all. Paired with the Resound tv streamer lets you here the tv and still hear others speaking to you.

### 5/5 — Love version 4.0.

*2019-03-24, version 4.0.0*

I initially had problems pairing with the new app too. I found that I had to put my phone closer to the hearing aids to get the app to show the pairing. Once it paired the first time it now pairs without a problem. I am using iOS 12.1.4 on iPhone XS. I hope this helps those having problems.

I like the noise filter and the speech clarity features. Everything is easy to acess. Great new app!

### 5/5 — Disconnect

*2017-12-05, version 3.2.2*

Frequently disconnect and
Complicated instruction to resume. Suggest a easier way to reconnect.

### 5/5 — Great App - I'm a new user

*2016-10-02*

Received my hearing aids yesterday & have been through the User manuals which I think are very well written. Everything works as I expected. So far my new hearing aids are great! My wife has even given them a thumbs up as she spoke to me from a distance in low voice & I heard her very well. She said that with my old aids or without them I would not have heard her or responded with the classic "What?". The ability to control the programs from the app is very helpful too. As far as I'm concerned, these aids & the iPhone app are just outstanding!!

### 5/5 — using since June

*2016-09-17*

The app may be quirky but works great once you get through the three control parameters (triple tap, accessibility, and the app itself). I wanted: no default air-play to the hearing aids: no automatic connection to the hearing aids from my home phone or car phone. The solution was: settings, general, accessibility, hearing aids, “my hearing aids”, streaming :off. With that everything works as expected - favorites, geotagging , treble and bass settings and streaming (by reversing the above settings) if I want it, i.e.for music. The battery warning operates just about the same time the earpiece gives the 4 tone signal. Streaming music is improved by adjusting bass and treble significantly.

### 5/5 — Hearing aids

*2015-10-26*

This app is brilliant but please make it suitable for iPhone 4/4S as I really need it for my hearing aids as I'm forever loosing them :/ xxx

### 5/5 — User

*2015-05-25, version 3.0.0*

Great overall app sometimes after three taps it fails to open all the way. But it's been a real help for phone usage. Would highly recommend it
