I select flour and it jumps to bread flour 😔 ### 2/5 — Cooking with weights *2018-06-24, version 1.1* The actual selected ingredient will result in showing the ingredient 2 options below the one you want. By that I mean if you choose an item what ACTUALLY gets selected is the item TWO SPOTS BELOW. TAP ON “Sugar” you get “butter”. Tap on “baking soda” you get “sugar”. It’s INFURIATING! There are websites that help calculate the weights for measurements for different ingredients, but it's annoying and silly bringing my laptop into the kitchen with me, and none of them work well on the iPhone's small screen. So... In comes Kitchen Scale. I just baked a super moist red velvet cake using this app to weigh the ingredients - it came out perfect!!!! ### 4/5 — User Friendly & Convenient *2012-10-01, version 1.0* This app is very useful for converting volume measurements (tsp, cup, fl oz, etc) to weight measurements for common baking ingredients. My only wish is that there were even more ingredients to choose from (most basics are included). Be aware: the measurement for "Sugar" is for confectioner's (powdered) sugar NOT granulated sugar. All other weights for baking ingredients seem consistent with other reliable sources. ### 3/5 — Butter weight way off *2019-06-06, version 1.1* I downloaded this app and tested with ingredients I knew the conversion. Example: a pound of butter is 16 oz., 2 cups. Yet the app says a cup of butter is 4 oz., not 8 oz. and does not give 8 Tbs. for 4 oz. Butter seems to be off by half! Could really ruin a recipe!!! ### 3/5 — Love this app for use with kitchen scale, but... *2017-01-01, version 1.0* The weight / volume calculation for sugar is way off. This app cut out the math step of converting volume recipes.
