I planned a trip using Kite. First, they deducted $700 upfront, and then the unlock code they sent for the car didn’t work. I couldn’t even start the trip, yet they still charged me for 0 km traveled. Total scam — no help, no proper support, just money taken for nothing. Avoid this app at all costs! ### 1/5 — Worst customer service ever *2025-04-16, version 2.11* This company has the worst support I have seen. They are unable to help with ANY issue live, instead, requiring an escalation process and call back. This cannot help you when you need immediate, live service. Their rates have gone from $0.09/minute to $0.40/minute in two years, so being placed on a lengthy holds for support while renting a vehicle costs a fortune, and support never calls you back. The app itself is poor and difficult to use almost necessitating a call for support. The cars themselves are excellent (though difficult for a non EV user to understand) but as a company providing a service, I absolutely cannot recommend it at all! ### 3/5 — Good Cars, Poor app and support *2025-02-22, version 2.10* Very good cars for a good price, but the rental app usability and functionality is very poor. Also very slow unresponsive support. If you call them, they will NEVER resolve your issue just on the call, no matter how small it is. They will just compile email for you and send it to actual support.
