Kiteseason is the official app for the Kiteseason kitesurfing school located in Lo Stagnone, Sicily. This app is designed specifically for our students and visitors to provide an instant overview of wind conditions directly in our lagoon. KEY FEATURES Exclusive Sicily Data Real-time wind speed, gusts, and direction from our own weather station at Lo Stagnone — not a regional forecast, but the actual conditions in our lagoon. Air temperature and atmospheric pressure included. Wind on Your Lock Screen See the current wind on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island without opening the app. Runs during your chosen active hours to keep battery use low. Custom Wind Alerts Set your own threshold (from 8 knots and above), choose the hours you want to be notified, and pick your own alert sound — so you never miss a session. Wind History & Forecast Clear charts showing how the wind developed over the last 12.5 hours, with a detailed forecast a double-tap away. Live Webcam Check the water visually before you drive out. One tap on the main screen. Satellite Map Pinch to zoom the satellite view of the lagoon, always centered on our school. Kite Size Calculator Enter your weight and board size once and get a suggested kite size for the current wind. Completely optional — skip it if you don't need it. Knots or m/s Tap the wind values to switch units anytime. SEASONAL OPERATIONS Our school and main facilities are open from the beginning of May until the end of October. During this period the app is fully functional with all accompanying services. Weather station data is available year-round; the webcam is active during the main season (May–October), and outside it the app shows the last captured image. IMPORTANT NOTE This app focuses exclusively on the Lo Stagnone location in Sicily for the needs of the Kiteseason school. Plus, no more overlapping numbers! Smarter Kite Calculator: Choosing the right gear just got more accurate. The kite size calculator now analyzes the sweet spot between the average wind and peak gusts to give you a much more realistic recommendation for real-world conditions.
