## What is kitHug?

kitHug helps one person manage whole kits of tools or equipment. Borrowers do not need the app: use a nickname or activity code to record each loan.

• Create a kit for a real set of items, with named components, quantities and an optional photo.
• Lend the whole kit and receive items in multiple returns. See what is returned and what is still outstanding. A kit cannot be lent again while its loan remains open.
• Keep missing and lost items distinct. Items not yet received are not automatically marked lost. Record losses with a reason; a kit closed with losses stays unavailable until you confirm replenishment or adjust its contents.
• Keep loan snapshots and a history of returns and due-date changes. Undo the latest effective action when its dependencies allow it, without deleting the original history.
• See due-date status without notifications. Optional local reminders are scheduled for 9 a.m. on the due date in the record’s saved time zone. Delivery depends on iOS and Focus settings.
• Export photos and history in a .kitloan backup. Preview imports before confirming. Identical records are skipped; conflicting content with the same identifier stops the import instead of overwriting existing records.

The app stores data locally, with no account, ads, tracking analytics or automatic uploads. Multi-user sync is not included. File services you choose and system device backups have their own settings. Backup files may contain nicknames and photos and have no added password encryption. Keep them in a safe place.
