But I just hear a lot random hmm noises and it kinda gets on my nerves that it comes from both the characters and kitty and there is no talking at all. I would give this a five star if they would fix this and make it kind of identical to the computer game. This is a common stereotype in Chinese people and as a Chinese person, I feel extremely offended in this and I hope you can change that menu. I am very shocked the game included this feature especially because the app had much diversity. One of the game’s features is paying coins to have a description of a specific dish on the menu. While I was on a “date” at the Chinese restaurant (more specifically the ‘restaurant’ is called “Peking Tom’s”) I payed to have a description for the “Gou Rou Guo” dish. When I payed for the description the ‘waiter’ said and I quote, “It’s a lovely meaty stew! Made from... well it’s dog meat actually...” This was SO irritating and disappointing. First, the whole Asian people eat dogs trope is annoying and played out. Second, I didn’t see any other ‘restaurants’ get this sort of treatment. Third, it is so disappointing to see that a game that was so inclusive had to include this worn out racist joke. It’s not cool at all that this game alienated Asian people. I hope this gets fixed immediately. Chic, Hippy, Hipster, Glam, etc.. But it is extremely inconsistent with what those types are into and how they present themselves. You matched a Hipster with a fellow Hipster? Cool. You are still going to like none of their clothing and style options. Why? Reasons. And the things that these types are into are sometimes completely arbitrary. Hipsters don’t like army surplus’s stores? Are you kidding me? Too many mini-games are built around chance, and I refuse to believe the game doesn’t sabotage you when it wants you to do poorly. You click on the screen to cycle through boring monotonous dialogue, but OOPS... you just missed a key piece of info that you have no way to get back. It’s clear this game was built with a lot of love. But it missed the mark. A game that purportedly requires skill should never feel like you’re just constantly rolling the dice. I just invested hours into it, only to realize I’m headed absolutely nowhere.
