## What is KiwiLights?

A flashlight for the dark. A warm glow that stays till morning. A timer that walks the room down to sleep.

Kiwi is a green koala. He has been doing this since 2010.

Drag the sun down and the sky goes with it. Night settles into a soft light you can leave on until morning. Drag it back up and you have a flashlight.

Set a timer for the evening, a nap, or a quiet hour. A small voice counts the last seconds so nobody gets startled awake.

Ich nutze die App seit vielen Jahren als Nachtlicht. Seit dem Update funktioniert sie nicht mehr. Sie geht innerhalb kürzester Zeit in den Standby und wird dunkel. Somit als Nachtlicht nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Wie schade…

I used to absolutely love this app and used it every night on my nightstand while my phone was charging. It allowed me to have a nightlight as well as visibility of the time. 

However, they updated the app and are now adding a timer that causes the nightlight to shut off after a short interal. In order for it to stay on all night, you have to pay them five dollars for the app. I realize that’s not a lot of money, but it’s just really annoying that they took away the free features.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. There seems to be a misunderstanding about how our timer feature works, and we'd like to clarify. The nightlight function in KiwiLights is designed to stay on continuously - there is no automatic shutoff unless you specifically set a timer. The timer feature we added is completely optional and was included based on user requests for battery conservation and sleep enhancement. We’re still working on the landscape mode and also a standby mode when you turn your phone to the side. That will also be free to use. Coming in the next updates. 

You do not need to pay $5 to keep the nightlight on all night. The core functionality of using KiwiLights as a continuous nightlight remains free, just as before. The premium features include additional characters, enhanced features, and extended timer options, but not the ability to keep the light on.

Wäre toll wenn es ein Update geben würde. Leider geht die Taschenlampen Funktion schon nach wenigen Sekunden offline. Ich nutze Sie eigentlich viel lieber als die Taschenlampe von Apple. Eure ist viel heller

The changes in the appearance of the characters, especially the Koala are no where near acceptable. They fall under, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Ugh!
