Seems like rain is always 15%. As in 15% = 0% which isn’t helpful. I would change the background, so that it brings out the info in the foreground. It acts like it’s loading but then closes the app. I get good weather updates from the KKTV new app though so I’m not too worried about it. Prior to that I did use this app. Now I hardly ever use it. I can get to a weather web page faster and without some loud ad that I din’t care about. It was snowing hard one time and when I looked at the radar there wasn’t anything so I was very confused ### 1/5 — Unreliable. Generic. *2023-04-06, version 5.7.301* This app used to be my go-to for forecasts, but the latest iterations have been wildly inaccurate. Not sure why that is, but it says something when the app’s forecast doesn’t match what they’re saying on the TV broadcasts. If the radar in the past works, the future doesn’t. Today neither shows rain my area and it is raining at my house. The still screen shows the current radar but if I back it up, no rain. If I want to see the future it never works right. I hate that they have this app for weather now when I really liked using their news app for everything. You’ve got to make money. But, this is sad. It started off good with a few unobtrusive ads in areas that would not interfere with content. However, this recent update is riddled with ADs! Good luck attempting to watch a “breaking weather” video; you’ll end up with an AD, front and center, and you’ll be lucky to see the weather video as the AD stays on screen. It either stalls and fails to load or stops altogether and you will never see the “breaking weather” video content. So, if you want a great weather app, check out the KRDO app... At least this station hasn’t sold out to this garbage! Goodbye KKTV, you had great apps (news and weather) until you polluted them with this crap. ### 1/5 — Super Annoying *2019-07-11, version 4.8.900* When your pocket starts talking because this obnoxious app keeps notifying you of lighting. You start to miss the old dings. The voice is super irritating. Hope they remove the app from the App Store. The ratings just keep dropping. Now we all know why. KKTV use to be cool and not crush you with adds. Those days are over. Poof gone just like the app on my phone. It’s a shame we can’t give negative star ratings. This app break records. ### 2/5 — Horrible Choice for Notification sound *2024-12-31, version 5.17.509* For some reason they have a person speaking as the sound of their notification. It scares the daylights out of my family, which means I have to turn notifications off. Which means the app serves very little purpose for me of I can’t get severe weather warnings. I don’t know who thought that was a good idea, but I’ve switched to another app because of it. To be clear, I WANT the notifications, but not someone talking! Bryon was raised in that same way. He grew up on a ranch so he knows how important having the right weather means the difference of life and your livelihood!!!! Because Bryon knows how important the correct weather is to his family and community not only is he truthful but he studies the weather and how it acts. Therefor you can depend on his tells you about it but he makes sure the people who work with and for him work very hard to learn how to understand what they are working with!! They also work just as hard to bring what they’ve learned to the people who depend on their forecast to us in a way that we can understand, and have faith in their forecasts!! Luck Victor has worked hard to become a weather analyst and reporter in his own right!!
