### 3/5 — Good concept

*2026-08-02, version 1.20.0*

I like that there is an option to connect to the speaker system with the app. What I don’t like is the app having to reconnect every time the you open the app. Often times it won’t re-connect at all so that can be annoying. Overall it works well though. 3 stars

### 3/5 — Do Better!

*2026-07-27, version 1.20.0*

The connection speed is horrible, has been horrible for over 2 years now. God forbid you have 2 sets of speakers to switch between, the app goes into error mode like it’s the first app ever created. Can we somehow make the app an equal quality to the speakers?

### 2/5 — Too much fetching

*2026-05-06, version 1.20.0*

The amount of times the app interrupts the UX with “getting latest data” is crazy. Why not just fetch at the beginning of the session and cache the results? I have to wait 5-10 seconds between each fetch to adjust my eq and sub levels.

### 3/5 — Review

*2026-04-21, version 1.20.0*

Functional, but sluggish. Nice sound.

### 4/5 — Klipsch Fives

*2026-04-05, version 1.20.0*

Updates initially 2 step process
Had some issues requiring reinstalls
Helpful to keep on usb just in case
Working well now
Need to turn off bass boost

### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2026-02-17, version 1.20.0*

Easier to use than the remote except there is no volume control for the sub only night mode.

### 2/5 — Custom eq does not save

*2026-02-14, version 1.20.0*

For both The Fives and The Sevens, the custom eq does not apply after being turned off and turned back on. In order to get it to work, you have to open the app, go to equalizer, make any change and then it applies. The issue with these speakers is that they are mid bass heavy and need more treble, which would be fixed if the eq stayed what it was set at on the last power off. All presets and the night setting retains, so I’m sure it could be done. They also should have a Treble preset which is weird they chose to make a bass and vocal, but not treble.

### 4/5 — Needs Attention

*2025-12-30, version 1.20.0*

The app is good for what it is. I think it could be improved with faster connection times or reconnection. It’s not good for a remote but it is quite handy when connecting things remotely.

This is why I give it 4 stars and not 3 or 5. A three would reflect the absence of the awesome remote connection ability. A five would reflect improved remote functionality.

### 3/5 — Nice but annoying

*2025-12-30, version 1.20.0*

My Klipsch the Fives sound great but they’re a little bass heavy, so this app with the equalization is a godsend. However, I hate the fact that every time my phone goes to sleep and then I go back to the app. I have to reconnect it, which takes several seconds.

### 3/5 — Works great when connected

*2025-12-10, version 1.20.0*

The app works great! It takes a legit minute to connect every single time though, even if you only close the app for half a second.

### 2/5 — Sluggish, Laggy

*2025-12-04, version 1.20.0*

Designed for simplicity, it’s intuitive and easy to operate. However, it often doesn’t connect to the speaker, even when I’m sitting within 10’ of the primary. So I sit waiting 30 seconds or more for it to indicate it’s finally connected and ready to control the volume of the music. If I switch away to do something else, then switch back to this app, it has disconnected from the speakers - which means I have to sit here and wait for it to try for half a minute for it to reconnect so I can adjust the EQ. So primitive. Talk to SONOS and see how they keep the connection open.

### 3/5 — Sluggish, Laggy

*2025-12-02, version 1.20.0*

Designed for simplicity, it’s intuitive and easy to operate. However, it often doesn’t connect to the speaker, even when I’m sitting within 10’ of the primary. So I sit waiting 30 seconds or more for it to indicate it’s finally connected and ready to control the volume of the music. And there significant lags in response to every change of volume level. I love my The Nines, but this software is not ready to play with them.

### 5/5 — Easy to Use

*2025-11-29, version 1.20.0*

It was intuitive to set up, and it works great! A win win.

### 5/5 — Small yet mighty

*2025-10-26, version 1.20.0*

The best Bluetooth speaker for the money. I bought 2 for stereo sound
Remarkable !!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Totally ruined my Klipsch experience

*2026-07-24, version 1.20.0*

Like many other reviewers I am also impressed with the sound quality of these speakers. This app has completely destroyed my confidence in ANY product of theirs that is tied to an app in ANY way. So sad

### 1/5 — This app wants way too many unnecessary permissions

*2026-07-08, version 1.20.0*

In order to use this app, you need to give it permission to monitor ALL of your Bluetooth devices and give it access to the your WiFi network, all to control the eq on a Bluetooth speaker that doesn’t even connect to WiFi. Definite overreach and unnecessary.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-06-29, version 1.20.0*

Doesn’t connect to Cinema 400 soundbar

### 1/5 — Awful interface

*2026-02-11, version 1.20.0*

It doesn’t connect to speakers and requires access to network and Bluetooth to not even work.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-12-26, version 1.20.0*

Looks like Klipsch can’t afford competent developers. The app is a waste of time. Flat out doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2025-12-11, version 1.20.0*

The Fives Bluetooth phone control sucks and the company is no help. They send you steps on how to “update” the system, which requires a usb drive and doing some wizard stuff with your computer… what? I just dumped money into your product and now I have to jump through hoops to make it work? Absolutely ridiculous. I would give that feature and help from the company a -5. Their customer service couldn’t care less.

### 1/5 — Worst Website

*2025-10-25, version 1.20.0*

On startup the app tries to find my products but I haven’t installed them yet. I just want to register my products. It won’t go beyond the spinning symbol. (My products won’t be connected by Bluetooth or my network anyway)

### 1/5 — Dirac live keeps crashing

*2025-10-17, version 1.20.0*

Bought klipsch flexus core 300 dirac live crashes can't complete past 20% it's the point of buying this system for room correction I've had about 6 different errors so far

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-09-16, version 1.20.0*

Bought some Bluetooth speakers from klipsch for $350. Turns out they don’t even connect to the app. Unclear why you have Bluetooth in these violently expensive speakers if they don’t even connect to the app. Yall make millions every year, and this is the thanks we get for buying your product? No thank you. Stick to speakers, get rid of these useless apps, you’re making a fool of yourself.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2025-08-10, version 1.20.0*

Does not connect to Klipsch 2 searches forever and doesn’t connect

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-03-10, version 1.20.0*

A must have in my opinion…

### 5/5 — Master EEng

*2026-03-07, version 1.20.0*

I think it’s fabulous. I never knew this product until my daughter got me one for a housewarming. But so far I really love it. It works well and it does what it’s supposed to do and the sound is fabulous.

### 5/5 — Klipsch is AWESOME!!!

### 5/5 — Klipsch The One Plus

*2026-01-04, version 1.20.0*

I am not an audiophile but an average consumer. I read the reviews and must say I was a little taken back by some of the criticism of the speaker and the support. I am using the speaker in the large great room of my cabin. Big space with a high ceiling and open windows. Plugged it in to power, connected the WiFi and downloaded the app. That was it! No fuss no muss. Everything worked as advertised. The app is easy to use and the equalizer fits my needs The sound fills the room with no worries. I am very happy and love it.

### 5/5 — Great so far

*2026-01-01, version 1.20.0*

Has just enough functionality and does it well

### 5/5 — Outstanding!

*2025-12-21, version 1.20.0*

Great sounding speaker.
