What’s the point sending emails telling you to to check in online then have the app say you have to do it at the airport. Seriously, it’s 2025, this must work. Apart from that, there several design glitches, and lots of improvement possibilities for the UI/UX and the general handling. The app is like the airline - it somehow works, but don’t expect much. ### 1/5 — Worst airline app *2025-09-28, version 1.3.16* This is by far the worst airline app i have ever seen. How can one trust they run airplanes properly if they can’t run a simple app to manage a checkin your booking? ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-08-28, version 1.3.14* The app is as useless as the whole check-in process. As a hint, get the Lufthansa app and add your flight by the booking code. Then you can get the ticket number(s) you need for the check-in at air Malta webpage. But hey, it is not possible to add your boarding passes to the wallet on your phone. So the only advantage of online check-in is to get your seats. And for the check-in you don’t need this completely useless app ### 1/5 — Poor *2025-07-28, version 1.3.11* The apt doesn’t work properly can’t book tickets ### 1/5 — Worse than Ryanair *2025-04-25, version 1.3.5* I’ve never had problem travelling with Ryanair or other low-cost airlines when it comes to my backpack. KM is the first airline who attempted to make me pay for a small backpack. If I tap on the Menu icon I find Manage Booking. Click that and I can now add my booking easily. The Manage My Booking page doesn’t fit on my screen, left and right edges are cut off. The times shown for my flight are local to me (California) but should be the times at the departure/arrival airports (LGW/MLA). The “Modify” section says I have no seats selected, but I do. The “Add to calendar” link did work. Haven’t tried checking in yet, hope it works! Update: When we got to the baggage drop, they said they weren’t accepting any on-phone or home-printed boarding passes. We had to get them from the regular check-in desks. However when it comes to frequent use for frequent traveler even if we have an km rewards account it is not linked and we cannot connect it to make the booking easier and faster that could be a nice update. As well, see how we can use our skybux could be nice.
