My original account never transferred to my new phone. As a game it’s fun. I don’t plan on spending money on it though. Just about anyone who pulls a shadowforged armor can pass all levels Normal-Epic. The rewards/materials within the stages are useless. The bosses drop legendary materials for armors that are useless now. There definitely needs to be an expansion or update from the basic Relic Ruins - Kingdom of Darkness. Arena The main issue with Arena is the people I’m put up against. Arena becomes unplayable when you get put up against 3 Starmetal armors and after fighting that person it refreshes your arena with the same person. Milestones become much harder to achieve when you waste all of your energy to fight people who you stand no chance against. There should definitely be more incentive within the Arena besides milestones and armors that are 10 seasons old. You end up spending more on gems cause you fight the same people on your Arena feed. Matchmaking I understand could be difficult but based on someones armors they have on in the Arena, should determine the players they’re put up against. Guild/Blitz/Raid I have nothing to really say when regarding guilds besides guild that aren’t hitting certain milestones should be given lower milestones. Because a lot of the ultimate armor materials, a lot of the strongest armor you get from hitting Tier 1 - Tier 20. It’s difficult for those who are just getting started in the game to find a guild that hits milestones so you can receive decent rewards. Armors This final review is on the armors, something I think should really change. Legendary, Epic, and Dragonforged armors in this game are completely useless. Any shadowforged armor is instantly stronger w/o rings and amulets so they’re only used to level other armors up atp. Ultimate armors are a fraud, you can’t get the materials needed no matter how many gems you spend. When you hit milestones for wars, raids, epic boss, etc… you get legendary and epic armors that serve no purpose for battle. When you hit so much and hit high milestones, you obtain loads of fusion boosts that level your armors up any way. I just hope the developers really update this game man. This game has so much potential to expand its audience and incorporate new ideas. The pay to win aspect doesn’t encourage people to play the game, it strays them away. Spending money on gems every war, raid, and arena blitz is ridiculous. This game would make much more if they added more incentive to stay active and not spend money. I’ve been okay KnD for years, but for the love of god Deca, please make a change when it comes to not being able to claim rewards after guild war or raid!! Change it to where if you don’t claim the rewards in time, it goes straight to your inventory. Legit spent money this past war and forgot to claim rewards as I was busy. Spent money to get this latest guild war armor for a run, and not get the rewards because I forgot to claim rewards that same day! ### 3/5 — Audio on newer iOS *2025-12-20, version 1.74.1* Game isn’t updated for newer iOS audio so it won’t work unless you’re using a Bluetooth device. Second hand, not going to lie if the epic bosses were reworked and made new campaign areas every so often, along with a season pass of some sort I feel like this could be a hit again but hey who am I just a guy that just loves games. ### 5/5 — A long time favourite game *2025-11-23, version 1.74.1* I can’t think of any fault I have with it. The story, the visuals and the gameplay are all superb, I genuinely can’t think of ways to improve it. The gacha system doesn’t cheat you. My sole complaint is that the post story game is a bit repetitive and benefits a lot from paid features, but that is already a very small complaint because most other games make completing the story very difficult. I can tell Knights and Dragons was made with love. Now they have made it so the only way to be successful is to join a top tier guild and pay to win. When I played in the past I would have success in the arena and wars even by myself. Now it seems this has turned into a pay to win game. Everyone has star armor which kills all three of my knights that I grinded a few months for. How is it I can’t even kill a third of their knight but they can kill all mine? And the only way I can see to get that same armor is spending hundreds of dollars on boxes and stamina. Even if I were to get that star armor after hundreds of hours of game grinding and maybe even paying I would be the weakest one of the rounds who seem to have this armor. This game used to be the best phone game where even a moon who grinded stood a chance. It has since turned into an insurmountable death fest for anyone with less than a year on the game and dollars spent. I wish they didn’t change. That’s easy, don’t play the game. I’ve played this game off n on for well over a decade now. The game is pay walled about two to five months in. The guilds will gaslight you into thinking watching ads to get in-game premium currency in order to advance is not a pay wall or pay-to-win simply because you can get it for free. What they mean, is that the game play loop up to a point is about having fun and engaging with the mechanics of the game. After that point, the gameplay loop is “watch enough ads for multiple months, then join a massive raid and spend the premium currency to “earn” your upgraded armor or pet. ### 1/5 — Unwelcoming community *2025-08-17, version 1.72.8* Game used to be fun. Community has changed a lot over the years. Can’t join a guild without being told you can’t stay if you don’t download “Line” app to chat in even though there is already a chat function in the game.
