Very in depth storyline, engaging mechanics and RP aspects. Gets a little repetitive after a while, but you unlock more and more mechanics and cool stuff to do as you level so there’s that. Great combination of a lineage trait building game and a squad based action adventure. (With some base building and conquest mechanics in there too, pretty fun.) it’s an overall challenging and engaging experience that makes you want to grind out characters and buff stats with rare weapons and such. And when I say rare, I do mean rare. This isn’t the type of game where you can pretty much be OP right away, there is a lot of grinding and strategic thought that becomes important once you start getting into higher levels. Message for the developers!! It would be really awesome to be able to save multiple different team presets so you don’t exclusively have to switch all the troops out manually in order to train or just go with a different unit strategy. Allowing like 3 different save slots would be perfect. Also, it might be cool to have specialty missions that grant double XP that pop up every so often. I just found it a little difficult to level characters before they were too old to keep fighting. ### 4/5 — Please add this game onto steam or pc *2023-02-23, version 1.8.3* The game overall is fantastic and has tons of activities to do after you finish the main quest/story mode but i just wish that you could play it on a computer or put it on steam so pc players could enjoy this game. Grind the side quests called missions. Do not let your characters die and maybe just maybe you will finish without massive cash. Idk I haven’t finished the game so I do t j ow fi it is even possible. I really wish you were able to link with apple play or google account. It would prevent the lose of all that progress and time. Not to mention a few purchases I did. Overall the game is amazing though with a few minor issues here and there ### 4/5 — A few issues but better than expected *2022-12-15, version 1.8.2* I had to start a new game because I got stuck doing a time sensitive mission that I didn’t realize I needed to level up for and I couldn’t go anywhere to do other missions because I was required to finish that mission first. Otherwise, the game is pretty nice. This easily could have been a purchasable game. Thus far feels like Viking fire emblem with an interesting story and marriage simulator. Battle controls feels very fluid as well. Seriously the game should be rated much higher. ————— Edit: after playing for more time I’ve actually become incredibly bothered by the low App Store score of this game. This is easily one of the best turn-based strategy (fire emblem-like) on the phone. It has a really interesting story (though admittedly can get confusing since a lot of political factions and backstabbing), really good combat/strategy (more sophisticated than the typical turn based games), a lot of unit options, marriage simulator that doesn’t make your units feel replaceable, not hyper focused on sex (which most rpg/turn based gatcha games seem to have given to), cool artwork (more gritty/bloody), and other pretty interesting features. If the game had more reviews it’d probably be a 4.8-4.9. Guessing the reason it doesn’t have more reviews is because the game doesn’t awkwardly ask you to leave a review after the first hour of gameplay (which a lot of games seem to do to trick people to leave 5 stars early). For those who want to try a fire emblem-like game (pre console) that has a better story, more complex gameplay and options…try out this game. It literally kept me up all night and every single minute was worth it. This game is so much more than a basic turn-based rpg and there seems to be genuine love in the creation of the game. I believe I have accidentally glitched my game and it will not allow me to do any more story quests or fix it so now after spending money on this game (which I did to support the game I was enjoying) I cannot continue playing the story and I’m stuck at 50% This is a serious flaw that could ruin anyones progress. I’d like a refund for this and wouldn’t recommend anyone else buy into it. If you play be careful how (freely) you make choices and do things that the game “allows” but could end up ruining the linear story. I like the story. But if a decision I was making would break the game then don’t allow me to do it. Sad that the devs missed that detail. ### 1/5 — Too many issues *2022-05-08, version 1.7.15* I wanted to restart one of the missions, but the game forcibly finished the mission instead. The game didn’t pause when I opened the settings to click on the restart button. Instead, it continued the battle offscreen and stopped me from being able to redo it. Another bug came up at the spring festival mission where it wants to force you to click on a specific option when you enter town. If you click on another option beforehand, your screen gets locked up. I had to completely close the app and reopen it at that point. Gear has stat requirements but it isn’t obvious where to actually see each character’s stats. Way too much dialogue without the option to skip it or fast forward. The game also seems way too linear in comparison to what I’m looking for. “Go here. Click this button. Cycle this dialogue. Go there. Click that button. Do 1 battle. Repeat...” For what it’s worth, the battles themselves were somewhat interesting. I could see it being fun with more characters/gear/skills in later levels. ### 1/5 — Too expensive to play *2022-01-05, version 1.7.15* Right from the start I have to say that I did enjoy the playing the game. The problem I have with it is that the game is too expensive to play. In 1 battle my guys were level 20 and the enemy level 40. No way I could win. The battle was so unbalanced that 1 of the enemy killed all 6 of my soldiers. Even after making 1 purchase, I still can’t match up to the enemy’s power. I would be willing to pay up to $100 to buy a game but then it is mine. You can use only 6 characters in a battle against over a dozen other enemies who are stronger than you. I believe you can grind your way into it but the grind is way too long(can take hours) and boring considering leveling up becomes harder and you have to do boring jobs over and over. The immersion to the story is great but then if you would like to grind to complete the game every job you complete time passes and so your character, his children and everyone else gets old which also ruins the immersion greatly. At the beginning it felt that the game had been very promising as to become one of my favorite games but now i am in utmost disappointment :( . But we are a hardcore game, need skills, patiences, grind, strategy and etc. thanks for understanding ### 1/5 — Very frustrating game… you have to spend money eventually *2021-08-16, version 1.7.14* This game is so well-designed in a way that if you don’t spend, you will be frustrated and annoyed whole time… but real money makes everything so much smoother… you can avoid meaningless tedious boring grinding if you pay… So annoying part is banquet… it’s super expensive, yet you always meet the same title almost all the freakin time (then what’s the purpose of it? You just frekain waste your hard-earned resources) and if you want 100% success, on top of what you already paid, you have to pay 70 crystal or super expensive resources on top of that. Seriously this game is trash ### 1/5 — TERRIBLE SOFTLOCK *2021-07-12, version 1.7.14* So I actually like the game. I’ve played thru the main story twice. Not because it was that great, but because there’s an inescapable softlock at the 2nd to last campaign mission i you didn’t use all the starter characters & level em up (aidan & a few others). I got to the mission. Got put as 1 level 85 archdruid and 5 guys under level 40 vs 3 different teams varying from 60-75+. I literally couldn’t do ANYTHING to solve it. I tried many hours. I’ll let the developers try my account & prove me wrong if they think I’m kidding. It’s so dumb that the entire game can be ruined just because I didn’t grind up 2-3 of the starter characters (traded em for better progression characters) and it’ll ruin your entire save. Can’t change the characters, only bring in 1 of them. Like it ruined my entire experience. I even made another account & now I’ve grinded it up to having level 90’s, max level 115 and halfway to an artifact. But I seriously almost abandoned this game because of that softlock. ### 1/5 — Potential but can’t even play anymore *2021-04-19, version 1.7.14* Has a lot of potential, played through the first 3 chapters with no problems, then in the 4th, the game crashed when the knights were talking after the wolf king went crazy. Tried loading back into the game but am now stuck with immediately being thrown back into the battle and it has an infinite loading screen, meaning I can’t do anything at all. Can’t exit the battle, and even if I restart the app it still throws me back in it, so now I can’t even play. Playing on an iPhone 7. You’re in charge of a troop who fight in fun battles! One criticism that I have is not having enough battlefields. Training the future generation of soldiers is also amazingly fun! I have spent hours on this game and it is well worth it. When your troops die they are merely injured for a while which I heavily appreciate, as I’m not that good at defending my troops. The dialogue and story of the game is amazing and all the things you can do like training, marrying, hunting, killing, etc. It's all amazingly good. I played and played and I like the idea that you can continue your generations on and on and on. I find it fun and enjoyable considering you've grinded enough to get to a good place but it was worth the time. Definitely recommend. I've searched for other games like this but I can find any. I started the game just running through it to see how it plays and after two missions I realized just how good this game is. Maybe this is a little much but this reminds me of Banner Saga which is an amazing game also. I really love this game because it’s like Banner Saga but in a little more faster pace. I just can’t believe this is a free game. I’m just blown away so far on how addicting this game is. You did such a wonderful job of this game and I’d say it’s very well balanced and you can tell the people who made this game took there time and put in a lot of work and love into making this. Im very picky about games so this one passes 10/10 which for me is hard.
