I played KoPaP 2 a little, so I knew what I was getting into, but hadnt realised exactly HOW much grinding was required. Some things, like unlocking classes and professions, aren’t very clear, but I enjoy testing the different team compositions. While trying to unlock ninja, I restarted my game thinking I missed a step and locked myself out of the class. I wrote customer support when I realised the 7 day login rewards were gone. The person that responded was very kind and understanding, even restored the staff for me. Best support I’ve had in a mobile game, and the only reason I’m writing this review. I wanted to wait till I got further to give a better review, but I’m a bit hard stalled at my progress point. I don’t mind the micro transactions, especially since they carry over on resets (the gems and any jobs/classes). I’ve watched 3 long ads and nothing activates. Game balance is off too. That quickly faded when it’s just a million micro transactions to do absolutely anything. I hate it. I’d gladly play a higher purchase price to avoid it all.as it is, just sad. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2026-07-22, version 1.6.12* Completely different team with absolutely no link to the first game except publisher. Greedy mtx-ridden cash grab. Tried to play it just to give it a chance, but it is horrible (especially if you’re coming in comparing it to KOPAP1) ### 1/5 — Micro transaction on EVERYTHING *2026-07-14, version 1.6.10* I’m honestly surprised they don’t charge a gem per step of your character. Gems to upgrade your level, gems to upgrade your equipment, you even have to pay gems to upgrade the building that you upgrade everything else and there’s like 7 buildings. It’s a joke to be honest. I spent a few bucks before I found out about everything costs gems. I’ve seen greed before but this takes it to a new level of scumminess. I won’t be purchasing anything from this developer or publisher anymore. ### 5/5 — One thing *2026-07-13, version 1.6.10* I had to restart the whole game because I could not get the technomancer quest after finishing the game. I should have known that in 2026 nothing escapes being monetized. Want to know what made the first two games so magical? No ads. No watching ads to activate stuff. No cash shop. No gems. Just pure fun. When can we go back to when video games were just fun and you didn’t have to buy a battle pass? I’d rather have one time paid DLC. Heck I would have paid $10-$20 to have this game without all the paid stuff. Revamp it and put it on Apple Arcade. Honestly would be worth playing without the monetization.
