### 5/5 — Work in progress

*2020-09-12*

But so far the sweater pattern has been spot on

### 4/5 — App works well

*2019-04-03*

Was wondering if knit in the round pattern creation is a feature that will be added?

### 5/5 — Good customer service!

*2017-06-03*

I had a problem with the app that turned out to be my not understanding something. I wrote for help and got excellent service and response!

### 5/5 — WOW!

*2016-10-10*

Love this app. I am not the fastest knitter, so when I knit I want it to be right. Can't go wrong here. I have just finished my 3rd and all of them have fitted perfectly.
Really love all the new updates too, makes me want to do another.
I feel like each one I make is unique to me.
Designer knits for me.
If you have any doubts about getting this app take my word for it, will save you time and yarn. Looking forward to winter and wearing my knitwear 💖🐑

### 5/5 — Love It !!

*2016-10-02*

Great app. Easy to use with some wonderful features. I love the stitch and row counts which makes it simple to track your work and also allows easy adjustment for different stitch patterns.
The schematic shows a lot of info and provides a great visual check.
The ability to either print or create a PDF is also very handy.
The developer is very responsive to questions and is continually adding new features.
Get it ! You can't go wrong.

### 5/5 — So excited!

*2016-09-02*

I have been kitting for 15 years but sweaters intimidate me. I have done exactly one and it turned out awful. I was always trying to recreate someone else's garment so gauge, fiber, etc. was never the same and I couldn't duplicate it. Thank you for making this a doable project. Finally a tool to work with the yarn and gauge I have. Look out stash, here I come!

### 5/5 — Very useful knitting app

*2016-08-02*

I love this app.
You can chose from a variety of basic jumper and cardigan designs. Simply enter the required measurements etc, press save and there are the instructions for your personal knitting pattern.
Want to tweak the design. Change the measurements, press save and there is your revised pattern.
The best thing is your garment FITS!
A recent update has enabled schematics, pdf and choice of printer. Great!

### 5/5 — Wonderful customized basic patterns

*2016-07-02*

This app is great! Patterns rarely are written to fit my size and this app figures out perfectly sized patterns for some basic garments. The instructions are clear and appear complete (I am still working on the first one) looking forward to more patterns in the future!

### 4/5 — OK if you only want plain stocking stitch

*2016-02-16*

The app is easy-ish to use and gives good customised vanilla patterns for basic garments, as long as you don't want anything fancy like a raglan sleeve cardigan! Hopefully a wider range of shapes will be added, but now I'm off to try a round neck DK Cardigan with, hopefully, narrow shoulders on a tubby tum pattern.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2016-02-08*

I literally can't rate this app highly enough! I was sceptical at first but the results are totally perfect. As a fuller figured woman I've always struggled to find knitting patterns that fit properly and and often am disappointed with the results. This app lets you to knit the perfect jumper to fit YOU! So far I've knitted a close fitting jumper and a zipped cardigan and I can't believe how amazing the results are! Forget buying individual knitting patterns, this is all you need 😀😀😀

### 1/5 — No longer working

*2023-02-09*

Loved the free app when I used it a year ago, now it refuses to open saved patterns and general at the pattern. Just crashes. Support link won’t open. Just spent $15 on the paid app hoping that would work instead and it doesn’t. Crashes ups on saving and crashes when trying to open pattern.

### 1/5 — Not Working

*2022-08-02*

I made four tries to create a pattern. Every time, the app glitches out in the middle of entering measurements, returning to the start screen. Very disappointing and worthless. Money down the drain.

**Developer response:** Hi,
I am sorry you are having problems with the app, but I wish you had contacted me so that I can help you.
I am not aware of the issue you are describing, but I have updated the app recently and fixed some obscure bugs, so it is possible that this will not happen any more.
Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to me, and I have made every effort to make sure that the app functions correctly. Please contact me if you are still having problems, so that I can investigate.
Kindest regards
Jacqueline

### 2/5 — Frustrating to use, but pattern looks reasonable

*2022-06-16*

I had to start over 4x after entering a lot of information because the app sent me back to the main screen when I tapped the option for custom sizes. Additionally, every single time you make a change in the form, you get a pop up notification walking you through how to fill out the form. That’s fine the first time, but it gets obnoxious really quickly and it doubles the number of taps needed to do literally anything.

I suppose that’s fine if it produces a reasonable pattern, and I will be testing that soon. You only have to do it once per garment, after all. But the UI was tricky enough that it motivated me to actually write a review. For a $13 app, I expected a little more in terms of usability.

I hope some of these things can be smoothed out, because the flexibility of the customizations available looks amazing.

Things I’d change: no more pop ups with explanations (help button for each one instead?) allow saving unfinished forms for patterns (or fix the bug that deleted all my entered info), allow numerical entry instead of scrolling through numbers 1, 1.5, 2, …, and a diagram for the custom measurements (no idea what underarm length is, for example)

**Developer response:** Hi,
I am sorry that you are not happy with the app. However I think that some of your comments are unfair as the app already does what you are asking for!
I have updated the app to change the way that custom measurements are entered, so that bug has been fixed.
The pop up notifications guiding you through the settings only appear when you are creating your first pattern. Once you have successfully saved the pattern, you do not get them any more.
There are help buttons for each of the settings. There is also a settings guide that explains all of the settings. Including explanations and diagrams of what the underarm length is.
I hope you are now using the app without problems.
Kindest regards,
Jacqueline

### 3/5 — Measures wrong for a standard gauge knitting machine

*2026-01-07*

Sweater was 4 inches too short with the measurements. So I had to measure the 16” of knitted fabric and recalculate in order for it to fit. There should be a needle size to choose from on machine knit. As the pattern works on my 9mm machine but completely out on my 4.5 mm machine.

### 3/5 — UI is painful!

*2025-12-03*

Before purchasing, I looked at reviews. One reviewer complained about the popups at EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. OF. THE. WAY. You replied that it was only for the first pattern. Nu-uh!! EVERY. FRIKKIN. STEP OF THE WAY. For multiple patterns. And what makes it 10 times worse is that you can’t start a garment and save part way through. So, if you don’t have ALL of the information ready to enter, you either have to continue, putting some fake, placeholder numbers in (hoping that when you go back to put in the right numbers that you catch all of the fake ones, and don’t miss any, thus ending up following a pattern that is wrong), or you lose everything you’ve entered up to that point. This was also mentioned by the same reviewer - THREE YEARS AGO, and no changes made. Frustrating and disappointing.

I will add that after completing the lengthy process of entering all of that information, the final message is a fairly cryptic one about copying the new information. When I clicked on that, which seemed like the next thing I was being asked to do . . . ALL OF MY ENTRIES DISAPPEARED. AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!😤😤😖😖

### 3/5 — Trying the app out

*2025-10-07*

I was able to input measurements and save the inputs but it would be nice to have explanations of some of the measurements. How exactly do you measure underarm depth? The other issue is every time I input a measurement a pop up screen appears and I have to click ok. Every time. So I created a pattern and we’ll see how it goes.

I started knitting and I love the instructions so far! I am knitting a tshirt in fingering weight so I hope I did the measurements correctly. Will update as I go along.

The other issue is every time I input a measurement a pop up screen appears and I have to click ok. Every time. So I created a pattern and we’ll see how it goes. It also does not appear to be one piece top down based on the drawing, but I haven’t started knitting yet. I’m not terribly impressed so far.

### 3/5 — Please fix data entry screen!

*2025-01-15*

The program doesnt save until you have entered all the pattern data and ive tried to put everything in five times. If you switch apps or go back a screen it deletes. Please allow partial saving or fix this!

### 3/5 — AM

*2017-03-01*

KnitsThatFit feedback.
Well done for trying to tackle this challenge! I really like the schematic.
I think that it needs a few small modifications to turn it into something more workable. Currently I feel I need to print the pattern and write notes on it to make it work which is not the ethos of having an app.
In priority order;
It needs to be a little clearer that the app does not automatically add the ease.
It needs to handled asymmetrical repeat patterns that invert after the central point. E.g. K1P3 centre K1, then P3K1.
It should have an integrated row count knit tracker.
Would be nice to be able to force style modifications to size or at least enable the recording of notes for such modifications. Note that sometimes adding stitches to the repeat actually reduces the stitches in the pattern which is a little confusing.
Would be nice if it made yardage calculations so that the knitter can buy the right quantity (once a tension square has been made
Would be nice to record yarn care and construction notes.
Would be nice to be able to insert position of off centre motifs or designs, or again be able to make notes for embellishments.
Once a tension square is worked it would be nice to record the difference between outcome and the brand advice

### 3/5 — Basic, no real oomph to app yet

*2016-10-06*

Needs more work. Circular, top-down, bottom-up not in app. No styles other than set in sleeve types. The options you can choose need to be more refined (depths, widths). App doesn't remember your choices when you click to change them, so you have to scroll through measurements a half inch at a time, every time. Needs a little better handling of that kind of "remembering".

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2026-06-11*

I’ve been using this app for the last few years, and I love it so much. I’ve created many sweaters using it. My favourite way is to knit in the round, from the top down, and this app is great in explaining it. I also love that complex knitting is given row by numbered row. It makes it so much easier to count off the rows as they’re completed. Before this I used to use Knitting Wizard, but it wasn’t available anymore that I could find. This is indeed a wonderful app to replace it and I’m so happy that it works with iOS. Thank you so much for creating it!

I use this app for machine knitting and it has been so helpful! Genius!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-01-13*

I am a hand spinner and have been needing something like this app for a long, long time. It is such a wonderful tool for folks whose gauge just doesn’t fit the “Ravelry” mode. No offense there I love Ravelry but have spent far too many late nights hours trying to find a pattern to fit my numbers. Thank you, thank you, thank you …and for making your app affordable too! God bless ya!

### 5/5 — Knits that fit

*2024-11-20*

At last a decent program to use with a knitting machine. I’ve only just started using it but already it is proving to be very easy to use and I’m so pleased that I can customise it for my own projects. I can already see the benefits for hand knitted garments too, and might get creative in designing my own knits. Worth every penny, well done to knits that fit.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2024-10-23*

I love this app. You can use it for designing hand knits as well as machine knits. My 54” chest hubby really appreciates having sweaters now!

### 5/5 — I love KnitsThatFit sweater and hat apps.

*2024-09-22*

I’m a machine knitter. I love KnitsThatFit the program gives me the right shaping and stitch counts. I can customize my garments too. It’s a terrific. Thank you 🎀 Jacqueline.

I’ve been using both the sweater and the hat app for machine knitting for over 10 yrs. It’s so customizable that I can add dimensions to my garments. I can use any stitch pattern I like. I can make a hoodie out of a funnel neck cardigan. I can add a peplum edge to a basic pullover or add a skirt to a sleeveless drop shoulder for a sundress and so much more. It’s always in my pocket when inspiration strikes me. Love, love, love it.
