Application for Digital Guided tour for the routes network of the Heraklion Regional Unit The application integrates and offers digital content to visitors of the Heraklion Regional Unit and the Palace of Knossos and leads them to visitable monuments. The digital tour application is connected to beacons and QR codes that were installed at the entrance of selected monuments and archeological sites. The user receives digital information depending on his location, with or without internet connection, and accesses a set of information and multimedia content, such as texts, photos, stories, videos, in relation to each object's story. The application incorporates a short audio tour in Greek - English for each point of interest. For a free tour it’s fantastic. Recommend using a route and following it. Otherwise, some signs are missing QR codes and hard to find in the app. Select “Main procession of visitors to the Palace of Knossos” and it makes sense. I really like the audio so you can look and listen. ### 5/5 — It worked *2023-11-02* I am deaf and simply couldn’t make out the tour guide at Knossos. Downloaded this on site, took a few moments to load. Used as a ‘guest’. Worked perfectly with well written paragraphs on each section. Best thing, it linked with the notice boards. If you don’t want location links, search the name of the location as written on the notice board and the relevant info comes up … eg Throne Room. Simple as that. Well done developers … it works ### 2/5 — Good concept, with problems *2023-10-19* The idea is walk the Knossos Palace grounds and the app provides historical context.
