## What is Knot?

Knot helps people who know one another keep shared balances clear, private, and easy to review.

Record what you owe and what others owe you, confirm or dispute balances, and see when connected balances form a Knot that may be cleared together with fewer payments.

Privacy and consent are built into the experience. Knot details remain hidden until every participant agrees to review them. Each person can confirm their own balances before anything changes, and resolved Knots show exactly what was cleared and what remains.

With Knot, you can:

• Track balances you owe and balances owed to you
• Confirm, dispute, settle, and review balance history
• See when connected balances may be cleared together
• Keep Knot details private until everyone agrees
• Review exactly what changed after a Knot is resolved
• Search and filter your activity
• Export readable PDF statements
• Receive notifications about relevant balance activity

Knot does not transfer money or connect to bank accounts. It helps people record, review, and resolve informal shared balances with clarity and mutual consent.
