Even different from the radar they show on TV and YouTube. Had to quick using it. Pretty dangerous situation if you trust it. ### 4/5 — Mostly great app *2022-08-18* Can you please change the graphics back to what it was after last update? I really enjoyed the new way to see fair, rain, thunderstorm, etc. The partly cloudy looks like a demon unicorn lol in the clouds. The hourly could be more accurate, but only reason why I dont give it 5 stars bcuz of the radar isnt as accurate as other apps. & doesnt load up to exact timing when the rain or storms may hit. But I love Doug & only watch him & koam weather so I will always use this. ### 1/5 — App is trash *2022-02-03* Doug is the only weather man I trust, but this app is trash. I can’t get any of the videos to play, when I get the notification. Now I remember why I offloaded it the first time. It’s not worth wasting space on my phone. ### 3/5 — Needs updated for bug fixes. *2021-11-10* I use this app because I trust the weather men who are behind the scenes (Doug and Nick). However, the weather blog is one of its most convenient features and with the newest update (3months ago), I can hardly read the blog anymore. As I read the screen turns white and takes me back to the top over and over. It glitches and flashes and has trouble loading the million ads on the page. Seems like every other paragraph is a huge ad. I know ads pay the bills, but the ads make it almost unusable at times. Please update and fix the bugs! ### 2/5 — Annoying ad *2020-11-13* I deleted the app because of the ad that opens every time you open the app. It’s also been the same ad every single time for probably the last year. It delays the app opening so gets very annoying when you just want to check the weather quickly. ### 3/5 — Location pop *2020-07-11* Love the app but it seems more recently I get a pop up that tells me I can’t use the app due to my location which not correct because I live in Carl Junction, mo which is part of KOAM. Can’t even see the weather or change my location know the app. ### 1/5 — Locked Up *2020-01-04* Right now Saturday January 4 th it is locked up all I get is the opening commercial and it does not move on. Has been this way since it automatically upgraded 4 days ago. ### 1/5 — Newest version *2019-05-26* Not liking the new colors on the radar. They are too dark and now red indicates a thunderstorm warning as well as tornado? With the background being dark pink during a tornado watch it’s just too hard to see these colors. ### 2/5 — Poor update *2019-05-26* The new update is not up to the old standard. The satellite image is years old. The color for watches and warnings are confusing. You have taken a large step backwards with this update. ### 1/5 — Not liking color change at all *2019-05-24* I was so used to the previous colors for indicating tornado watches and warnings (red) and now when I click on the red it shows it’s a thunderstorm watch. And yellow is now a “significant threat” instead of severe thunderstorm warning. What’s up with that??? VERY CONFUSING. Please revert back to original colors or at least give us the option to do so. We have had enough tornados and storms passing through lately that this change is VERY VERY unsettling. I’m considering deleting the app because it bothers me so much. ### 1/5 — Bad update *2019-05-20, version 4.8.600* They updated the radar map, and the colors of the watches and warnings blend together so now I can’t tell what’s going on. ### 1/5 — New Update *2019-05-18* Not a fan of the new radar. The alerts for watches and warnings are too dense to see the actual radar and all the colors for warnings blend together making it difficult to read. Thanks. ### 2/5 — Not Happy *2018-04-04, version 4.5.1910* I had this app on my android phone for 3+ years and loved it but, 2 months ago got an iPhone and hate the iPhone app. It’s slow to open up and when I’m out of area it’s even worse. Takes forever for the radar to load up and work. I also hate the map they offer. I never had any of these issues with the android version. You can’t even scroll without it going to videos because it’s the last thing your finger touches on the screen. Very buggy! ### 1/5 — Radar is glitchy and not reliable *2024-05-21* I used this app because I trust the crew at KOAM. However, the radar function is so glitchy it renders this app useless. The app will show a line of storms on the radar and then when you zoom out that line moves over a hundred miles. The severe thunderstorm warning and tornado warning boxes move when you zoom out. Additionally, the app is very often incorrect on when you can expect storms to start on the “hourly view.” One discrepancy I experienced was a prediction that was almost 2 hours off from when the storm actually hit. ### 1/5 — Trash *2024-05-02* Tornado touches down on 5/2/24 and not a single MFing warning on the app. No alert or notifications. I deleted this trash and downloaded four states homepage app instead. Do yourself a favor and forget KOAM even exists. ### 1/5 — Please fix this app! *2024-04-01* The audio constantly cuts off in the middle of what the weatherman is saying. Reload the video, must watch another add, changed page must watch another add. App crashes, must watch another add. This is stupid guys. Do better by your users. I like the app, but the bugs, audio recording problems and constant crashes are just ridiculous. This was the app I was keeping an eye on when the storm carrying the tornado was approaching Joplin. It helped us realize we needed to head home away from the storm.
