Just one problem, not sure if it’s an issue in my end *2024-01-06* This is a really fun app and it’s worked great for me so far! It’s absolutely perfect, there’s just one thing I’m having trouble with. The share function won’t work for me, I’ve tried sending the visual novel I’m making to my friend because it’s a sort of collaboration with her oc’s, but it always fails to send. I’ve tried what I could by sending it through files and stuff but it hasn’t worked. I’m not sure if it’s a problem on my end or the device I use, for example I use an iOS, so maybe some sharing formats just aren’t compatible? Regardless thanks so much for this app! Also, I really want it to be possible that you can repeat the character editing (size and the like) so all my characters can be the same size and all I have to do is move them to the side. **Developer response:** Hi! Thank you very much for the review, with the version 1.6.1 our latest, you can copy and paste any kind of action and get the results you want, all your characters will be the same size when pasted, the new functions make development faster and easier. It’s in an mp3 file like the other ones . I’ve tried reopening it and it didn’t work. But I have some suggestions. I want to be able to add certain creepy glitches such as removing peoples save points, not letting them load, changing the title screen at act two, but when you press new game it sends you to act 2 instead of starting over. You guys don’t have to, it’s just some suggestions that I want for my horror novel. Thanks for making this app, it’s amazing! ### 4/5 — Amazing! Easy and great but I need help… *2022-05-21, version 1.9.2* It’s a REALLY good app for beginner game makers and everything was relatively easy but I have one problem that whatever I do I can’t get rid of it. I added in all my character expressions with ease and started adding the character and it looked nice and the transparent background worked but when I wanted to add the character changing expression (adding the ‘change character action’ again with a different expression after dialogue) but when I added it the beginning character stayed the same but the other expression just layered on top of it. So now my 2nd expression character is just layered on top of the 1st and I moved the dialogue around and the change character, I even tried adding some sort of a fade out action on the 1st character (which would’ve made it look weird because it’s just changing expression) but it kept staying the same! I searched up the issue on google, YouTube, and even checked the app itself but I found no answer! It deceased my motivation to use Kocho, which is a shame because it’s a really really good app! All I need is some sort of help or anything. ### 4/5 — Great app but one huge bug rn *2022-03-11, version 1.9.2* I don’t usually write reviews but there’s no report bug feature so here goes. I’ve only been using Kocho for a little bit but I love it. It makes the VN making process quick and simple even if it’s a bit limited with what you can do at times. However there is a HUGE problem I’ve been having with the app lately. I can’t upload audio files. Period. I’ve tried multiple file types, smaller sizes, different songs entirely, nothing works. This didn’t happen when I first got the app but something seems to have broken. Please fix asap! ### 4/5 — Another review.. *2021-12-30, version 1.9.2* Okay, don’t get me wrong but I love this app, but whenever I add my characters (when the background is transparent) the background is all white, not transparent, so when I add the scenery it’s the character with a white screen behind it, I’ve tried EVERYTHING to remove it on different apps but it just didn’t work, and I’m not sure how to remove it.. Just one suggestion. *2021-07-15, version 1.9.2* This app is wonderful and easy to use! I have been using Kocho for a long time now and all I have to say about it is that it’s a wonderful app! But, there is one thing I’d like to maybe suggest. I wish there were a way to have more than 4 choices. In my visual novel/dating sim there are 8 characters to meet, and you meet/fall in love with them individually. But sadly, I couldn’t have more than 4 choices, which really limited me with the choices for which characters the player wants to meet/date. I really want there to be a larger amount of choices that the player can make (preferably 8 choices, so 4 more choices for the player to make.) so if that could be put in, that would be great and really help me! Maybe if the option to add more choices gets added to the app, I’ll finally give Kocho the 5 stars it absolutely deserves. This app has been great, until the preview, that is. I JUST wanted to make sure everything would play properly, and literally what happens every time is the app will just crash before it can even show the second main character. I love this app so far but I have two problems, one major and one minor: I use two different devices throughout the day. It would be great if we could export our novels, save it to the files app on another device, and open it on that device to edit. Also, would Ren’py integration be possible? I would like this option so I can add more bells and whistles to my novel, and to share it on Steam and itch.io. Ren’py is open source, so hopefully something can be worked out. Whenever I try to upload a longer music file, it doesn’t seem to upload at all. I would like to see several things. 1-the ability to offer more than four choices. 2-the ability to make the Go To function go to a random page, either in a given range, a given chapter, or selected set of pages. 3-the ability to assign a random number to a variable. Edit regarding update 1.6.1 - font stroke color cannot be changed back to “none” once you pick a color. Picking “none” simply retains the past color picked. Please add the random number capability. I need to be able to generate random events (what’s in a particular room, or what treasure is in a box.) Edit: Been 3 months since an update. Still desperately hoping for random functions (random numbers to variables and random “go to” locations. Any time soon? At first I was worried about the choices being limited to four but found a method where I can have infinite routes.
