Starting off, I don’t like the mic on constantly - should be able to turn it off when not recording. With the sound turned up as loud as I could comfortably tolerate, it never registered above -5.6db and complained it couldn’t hear me. If it can process audio at all, that issue could be worked around if it could process an audio file instead of relying on a mic. Highly disappointed. **Developer response:** We are sorry for your bad experience, the next version will be a pretty big update where this issue will be fixed. Really difficult to edit too. Haven’t even been able to get into the app to try it. When it opens a screen displays “Downloading Packages” with a progress bar showing 0 / 0. It never downloads anything or progresses. There is nothing else showing on the screen. I even tried removing the app and re loading but no change. **Developer response:** Hello there, thank you for your review. Did you use mobile-data by any chance? Because in that case, you should have push the "continue without wifi" button at the bottom of the screen. This is a safety function, because the packages are quite big. If this is not the problem, please email us at info@kodai.app so we can get to the bottom of the issue. We are looking forward to hearing from you. ### 1/5 — Kodai App (can not register)!! *2022-05-14* On the info this app sounds perfect!!! However (I have try to register 3 to 4 times, and it keeps saying to check my e-mail for the codes - to confirm my e-mail, but there is no e-mail…). When I try to make a completely new install, it recognizes my e-mail as a register owner (but I have NEVER received and e-mail) I FIND THAT VERY STRANGE!!!?!? I sent them 2 e-mails and I am waiting to hear back from them. Worked great! Fed the midi file into Notion. Good score. I think some people were having a login issue but I was able to login with google okay. We are working on a big update, so stay tuned! ### 3/5 — Needs one more thing *2023-02-11* Actually, I’d like to write about a feature and a bug. The feature is that I’d like some sort of sound detection feature, so there’s no silence in the beginning of the midi file. Also, there’s a bug, if I save to files app, it would not export and crash the next time I try to export. ### 3/5 — Add import sound *2022-10-15* It would be nice if I could import sounds but the midis are pretty good when they come out but I would really use a import sound thing **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Importing audio is on our list, we are currently figuring out it's rules and structure. Till then you can record with your phone what you would like to import, thanks for your patience. ### 2/5 — Has promise but limited use right now *2026-04-04* The editor for audio clips doesn’t function or save and the app appears to only work with audio from a piano or guitar. So it may be useful in the future when it is a finished app, but till then who knows. If all you have is an acoustic piano or acoustic guitar and you want to turn that into midi notes, it looks like this might be a way to do that, assuming the editor gets fixed. No idea if the audio-to-midi works b/c I didn’t have an old school acoustic piano or acoustic guitar around to test those with at the time. ### 2/5 — keeps crashing since new update *2022-12-03* every time i’m done with a recording and i try to save it it crashes. it used to work. pls fix --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
