After 6 months, the printer/ app was almost impossible to use. The app kept crashing, the printer always says “make sure the configuration of WiFi.”, no WiFi’s will show up when I connect it to WiFi, the list goes on. ### 2/5 — Quarter-prints *2019-12-30* The printer was ready to use out of the box. I found it quick and easy to download and install the app. It’s pretty easy to print photos, but it would be much better if layout options existed (instead of just size of paper) and could pull from “favorites.” However the biggest problem is that it won’t stay connected to the printers WiFi, leaving quarter or third prints and wasting ink, paper, time, and patience. ### 3/5 — Defaults to color mode all the time! *2019-12-09* There is a printer ink conspiracy. I swear it! If the color cartridge runs out you cannot use the black ink only. Unless you buy a new color cartridge it will not work. I never use color in an effort to avoid this issue. However since then my iPhone has been updated several times and apparently this KODAK app has not been updated. While I can still print by airplay, whenever I try to open the app so that I can see How much ink is left, or clean the printheads, or adjust the cartridges when I replace a new printer cartridge etc. I cannot connect… It continually spins, and then after several minutes it will say unknown error occurred check and make sure there is a network connection… There is obviously a network connection because I can’t print by air print… Both my phone and the printer are on the same network… I just cannot access my printer from the app on my phone any longer in order to check on the things I mentioned above… When I go to the support side and entering that I am having trouble With the mobile app the only place it takes me to is right back here to the App Store to download the mobile app which I already have which hasn’t been updated in over a year… So if you were thinking of buying this printer now in August 2019 don’t do it ### 1/5 — Won’t hook to Wi-Fi *2019-05-23, version 1.19.04* Cannot connect to WiFi and will not find the printer on the app so the printer is useless. Only minor issue is the app for scanning use on Windows is a little slow. I have found if you change destination folder it won’t scan.
