### 1/5 — App does not inspire confidence.

*2023-11-24*

I can play maybe the first two videos from the "your first swiftUI app" however nothing happens when clicking on successive videos.

It would have been nice to learn unit tests but apparently Kodeco doesn't even unit test their own app.

I got an email that for over $1000 I could take an iOS bootcamp with Kodeco - perhaps someone at Kodeco can attend this bootcamp and fix the app.

### 2/5 — Nice Idea — Poor Execution…

*2023-10-13*

I thought it would be nice to be able to take my video tutorials with me, but the errors and omissions in this version make that all but impossible. :-(

💥💥I’ve Entrusted & PAID Kodeco to teach me to develop apps. The extremely poor design and quality of their own app (this one) makes me second guess my choice.💥💥

🔥🔥I EXPECTED MORE from a company whose function is to teach others to develop apps. Are they hoping to teach me how to develop apps of such POOR QUALITY?🔥🔥

Some of the issues:
⦁ The syncing of “completed” videos between the app and the website is VERY broken.

⚬ I tried to go back and forth using the web when I’m at my desk and using this app on my iPad when I’m out and about.

⦁ When video downloaded process is RANDOM at best.

⚬ Videos should be downloaded in the order in which they are selected for down load.

⚬ When a whole course is selected, the videos in that course should be downloaded, in order, from first to last.
            ▸ They are not.
▸ I have some courses where the conclusion is downloaded long before the introduction.

⚬ There is NO INDICATOR on the main video Downloads Tab what the download status is.

⦁ There is no “Download on Wi-Fi Only” setting.

⦁ There is “Path” section in the app as there is on their website.

I could go on, but I think/hope I’ve made my point.

Regards,

A Paying Member of Kodeco

### 1/5 — Funny that iOS tutorial app itself cannot make good app. Buggy app

*2023-07-09*

Even after getting getting subscription, not able to view all video. It refuse to play video after 4th video 🤪. Feels like teacher himself forget the basic concept

### 3/5 — Unstable and buggy

*2023-07-03*

The app crashes a lot in the middle of a tutorial video. Downloaded tutorial videos don’t play.
Sometimes bookmarks aren’t stored and tutorial progress is lost.

Pretty disappointing from a company that’s supposed to teach “good” coding.

### 1/5 — Downloading the curses not working

*2023-04-18*

This apps is useful only if the download feature works, but I doesn’t.

More than 300Gb free, max pro iPhone 11, 100 Gbits speed and still is not able to save more tag 4 p 5 episodes of a complete tutorial. Even if you maintain the app in the foreground. Super bad for an app that teaches how to program, this app is embarrassing

### 3/5 — Lots of things not working

*2022-11-26, version 1.0.10*

I paid for the pro subscription but downloading videos and bookmarking does work. Also there is no sync between the app and web so if you watch something on the web or bookmark a video it won’t show any progress or bookmark in the app.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thanks for your feedback on your experience - recently we have released a new version of our app that will resolve the downloading error, but we are working currently on the progress sync now between your web and app progress. Please email us at support@kodeco.com so that we can update you directly once this issue is sorted!

### 2/5 — Books missing in app

*2022-01-08, version 1.0.8*

Where are the books?

**Developer response:** Hey there, thanks for your feedback! At the moment, books are only available for reading via our site rather than directly on our app. You can access all books included with your subscription via our site from your mobile though :)

In case we can help you better access the benefits of your account, please feel free to reach out to us at support@raywenderlich.com and let us know what you're looking for.

### 2/5 — Can't get past first screen

*2021-07-25, version 1.0.7*

Can't say how good this app is since I can't get past entering my email or user ID since there is no place to enter a password. Just the Next button (which doesn't do anything).

Been a member since 2016. So I thought I needed to create a new account, but of course my email and user ID are already taken.

Oh well...

**Developer response:** We're sorry you're running into a login issue with the app. Please reach out support@razeware.com so you can walk us through the problem. Also, feel free to submit an issue on Github repo (https://github.com/razeware/emitron-iOS) about the login button and we'll look into it.

### 3/5 — Great app!!

*2020-08-19, version 1.0.4*

There is a way to download a video including subtitles. to later watch it offline?

**Developer response:** Hi

We are aware that subtitles don't get downloaded along with a video, and would like to apologise for this. We are hoping to work on this task in the coming months—you can see progress on the ticket here: https://github.com/razeware/emitron-iOS/issues/451

Thanks for your report, and hopefully we'll be able to fix this soon!

### 5/5 — Want AppleTV

*2020-05-23, version 1.0.4*

I like to watch developer videos while working out, as it helps me pass the time and learn something. Such as WWDC sessions or YouTube sessions. Would be great if you could make an AppleTV app..right now limited to clumsy airplay or limited selection of free YouTube videos

**Developer response:** Hi. I'm glad you like the app. I'm sorry that we don't have an AppleTV app—we're always looking for ways to improve and might consider building one in the future!
