## What is Koe AAC?

Your voice, again.

Koe is an accessibility communication aid for iPhone — a tap-driven app that helps people who find speaking difficult express themselves with their own voice. Recordings, inputs, and AI-generated phrase suggestions all stay on your iPhone. No network. No cloud.

UI is in Japanese. Spoken output can be switched among Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.

Transcribes the other speaker on-device and proposes situation-appropriate replies.

Hospital, Family, Phone, Emergency, Daily — reordered by AI for context.

▶ Personal Voice playback
Integrates with iOS Personal Voice so the app speaks in your own voice. Voice data stays on device.

▶ Full accessibility support
VoiceOver, Switch Control, Eye Tracking (iPadOS), Dynamic Type. Large tap targets.

■ Privacy by design

The app holds no network entitlement. Speech recognition uses Apple's on-device SFSpeechRecognizer. Phrase generation runs on Apple Foundation Model or MLX Gemma 4 locally. Personal Voice never leaves the device. Recordings and inputs are never transmitted.
