## What is Koedori?

You already talk — on a walk, in the car, thinking out loud. Koedori keeps it.

Koedori ("voice-catcher") is a voice diary with no writing, no typing, and no new habit to build. Turn on recording, speak, and your words become text on this iPhone, kept on a timeline of your day.

■ What this iPhone can do on its own is free
Recording, transcription, titles and summaries, search, the day player. Everything that runs entirely on this iPhone is free to use. No account is needed to get started.

■ Everything stays on this iPhone
Recording, transcription, titles, and summaries are all processed on your device, using the iPhone's built-in speech recognition and on-device AI. Your audio and transcripts never leave this iPhone. Location records, if you turn them on, stay on this iPhone too.

■ For work, too
Meetings, interviews, lectures. Audio and transcripts never leave this iPhone, so even recordings you could never upload are safe to make. Copy the full transcript as a starting point for minutes or notes. Automatic speaker labels are not available yet.

■ Your pace, not ours
One sentence is enough. Record ten minutes on a dog walk, or leave it on from morning to night — both are fine. Koedori recovers automatically from calls and interruptions, and you can pause anytime from the Lock Screen. While recording, the Lock Screen always says so.

■ Your voice is the original
Transcripts, titles, and summaries are today's reading of your voice — the recording itself is the record. Koedori keeps your day as it was, in your own voice. What can be drawn out of the same recording should only grow from here. But a day you don't record can't be recorded later. So Koedori is built, first of all, not to lose it.

■ Find the moment again
Search your words and jump straight to the second you said them. Play a whole day through, from morning to night, and move from the transcript to the moment you want to hear. Read-only calendar events and opt-in places appear alongside the day.

■ It's yours
Share any record's audio as a standard m4a file. Copy any transcript in full. Delete all recordings, transcripts, and summaries whenever you want. If storage is a concern, choose how long audio is kept — older audio is cleaned up automatically, and the text stays.

■ Quiet, even while recording
One calm status on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — visible to you, and honest to the people around you. No nagging notifications. Your music and other apps keep playing.

■ Key features
- Long continuous recording (background capable, auto-recovery from interruptions)
- On-device real-time transcription (with catch-up, on supported devices)
- Search and timeline — find your words and jump straight to the moment they were said
- A day player for a whole day at once, and a day map of the places you passed
- On-device AI titles and summaries (on supported devices)
- Divider markers and Lock Screen controls
- Share any record's audio as m4a, and copy any transcript in full
- Choose how long audio is kept, and delete everything anytime

■ Honest by design
Koedori only shows what it can truly do. When it is recording, it says so. When a recording was interrupted, the gap stays visible.

About supported devices: transcription requires iPhone 12 or later (not available on iPhone 11 or iPhone SE 2nd generation). AI titles and summaries require an Apple Intelligence-capable device. On every other device, recording, playback, the timeline, and the day player still work.

When recording conversations with people around you, please obtain their consent where appropriate.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-11

Titles and summaries now arrive reliably even if you leave the app or lock the screen while recording. Until now, a summary could stay empty.

When you played back a long recording, you could hear tiny gaps where the parts met. Those seams are smooth now, so a recording plays back as one piece.

Summaries are better, too. A recording with nothing much in it no longer gets a forced summary, summaries of long recordings take the length of the recording into account, and English titles are no longer cut unnaturally short.

Long recordings also use less battery, plus small stability improvements.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-10

Titles and summaries now arrive reliably even if you leave the app or lock the screen while recording. Until now, a summary could stay empty.

Long recordings also use less battery: while the app is in the background, live transcription rests and catches up afterwards.

Plus small stability improvements.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-09

The App Store description and the first-run guide have been rewritten to read more clearly. They now say plainly that Koedori can be used for meetings and interviews, and that what this iPhone can do on its own is free. No new features in this update.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-08-07

No release notes.
