The point system is fair, and creating and accepting requests seems easy. I think there could be some polishing done on all the different kind of social connections you can create (groups versus friends versus angels versus paid, etc.) and I wish the commenting had emoji support. Brilliant app for swapping sits for points instead of money. Always a work in progress with 2 momboss creators who are looking to create the best app possible for their users. The idea behind this app is genius, really hoping it does what it says it can. From just one night Of use It is still “buggy” I have to change my wallpaper to see actual updates. And even though I have have all notifications on I’m never notified of any activity on the app. I have to constantly check back. The app is a little buggy though. I have updated my profile three times and it keeps losing my personal information. And it always has my picture sideways. I don't see where to turn text notifications off. I would rather get a notification from the app, not a text every single time someone posts something. ### 4/5 — Great app! *2017-04-23, version 1.0.10* Really love the idea for this app!! I am the first of my friends to use this app so I am inviting those I want to be in my village to download the app, so I can't speak there. I set up my profile; and all my pictures are sideways? The app also seems to be having trouble remembering to update the pictures (multiple tries). Also I notice when I click on the plus in the bottom right corner and click a menu, I then have to click the plus again for that to go away. The app won’t save my profile information, including my location which is required to be able to search for nearby groups. We have over 10,000 users on the Komae platform and these are happy families who've been loving using the Komae app. I will say, we have done A LOT of updates since you've left this review, including the ability to more easily connect with other parents nearby you. Overall concept is very good though ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Effortless to swap babysitting *2018-08-02, version 2.3.2* I first downloaded Komae to swap babysitting within my MOMS Club co-op, but I love that I can also swap sits with friends outside the co-op as well, using a universal points system. The option to send the sit request only to my chosen friends or groups is great—sometimes my kids don’t click well with a friend’s kids and it’s nice to avoid the awkwardness of not choosing her to sit. 🙂 I would like the “directions” button to allow me to open in Google Maps, not Apple maps (Apple maps is awful in my region!) I saw that another reviewer thinks the positive reviews are fake and the app is “pointless.” 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am a real person living in the Midwest. Komae is hugely helpful to me because I have friends who use Komae. If you don’t have friends, or if you don’t tell them about Komae, I can see how the app wouldn’t be useful to you yet. **Developer response:** Hey there!
