## What is Kombine?

Kombine combines task management with the Pomodoro technique so you can plan what needs doing, then actually do it — with your time tracked automatically.

The key difference: every task has an energy level — low, medium, or high — as well as a priority. When you're drained, filter to low-energy tasks and still move forward. When you're sharp, tackle the hard stuff. It's a small change. It makes a big difference.

PLAN
Each task takes a deadline, priority, and energy level. Group your list by energy, priority, due date, status, or urgency (Eisenhower) — switch any time to see what matters right now. Set recurring tasks for the things that come back. Mark tasks as daily goals to build consistent habits. Time per task is logged automatically through your timer sessions — no manual entry. Import from Todoist or CSV to get started fast.

ACT
Three timer modes adapt to how you work:

Pomodoro — time-boxed focus blocks with customizable durations and short breaks. Proven and reliable.
Flow — open-ended sessions for deep work that needs room to breathe.
Adaptive — tell the app how energized you feel; it sets work and break durations to match.

Each session links to a task and an activity type. Nine categories let you be precise: Work, Meeting, Learning, Reading, Writing, Exercise, Creative, Planning, and Admin. Real-time sync across iPhone and Apple Watch — pick up exactly where you left off.

TRACK
At the end of the day you see exactly where your time went — by task, by activity type, across daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views. A weekly streak keeps you honest. A calendar of what you actually did, not what you meant to. Useful patterns surface; bad weeks aren't dramatic, just visible.

APPLE WATCH
Start, pause, or stop a session from your wrist — even without a signal. Your active task stays visible at a glance. Everything reconciles the moment your devices reconnect.

PRIVACY
No account required to start. All tasks, sessions, and settings are stored locally on your device. Crash reports are sent anonymously for stability monitoring — they contain no task content or personal information. Create an account to sync across devices and restore your data on any phone.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.11.0 — 2026-08-27

Kombine now opens on Today — a single screen showing your streak, what's running, and the tasks actually due.

• Today tab. Focus time so far, today's and overdue tasks, and your weekly streak in one place. It's the new start screen.
• Goals with real periods. Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals now belong to dated periods. Finished periods lock and become reviewable, and you can swipe back through the timeline — skipped periods included.
• Countdown badges. Each goal period shows the days left, coloured as the deadline closes.
• A nudge on the last day. When a period is about to end, Today links you straight to the goals that need a verdict.
• Flexible recurrence. Repeat every N days, weeks, months, or years — not just daily. Monthly tasks can land on the first or last day.
• Activity at a glance. Task cards show their activity type, so you can see the shape of your list without opening anything.

Also: steadier sync and sign-in, correct timer resume, and long-press stop now fires when you'd expect.

### 1.10.4 — 2026-08-18

Goals now live on a timeline.

- Every goal belongs to a real week, month, quarter, or year — not a slot that quietly stays "This Week" forever. Swipe between periods or jump straight to one with the new period picker.
- When a period ends, close it out: mark it Achieved, Dropped, or Carried, and add a note. Missed one? You can still review it later, and change your mind afterwards.
- Write notes on any period, with or without a goal attached — a place for what actually happened.
- See the tasks you completed in each period, grouped by day.

Fixes
- Fixed a crash on launch, and deadline times and other task fields no longer get lost when syncing.
- Deadlines set for a date stay on that date when you travel across time zones.
- Tasks group by calendar week now, with a proper "Next week" group.
- Sync is steadier: failed changes are held for retry instead of being dropped, and signing back in no longer logs you out mid-session.
- Statistics stopped refetching in a loop.
