Since we signed-up here, she has always been enjoying an extra 5’-10’ of Maths on a daily basis - without having to be pushed. I will certainly be keeping mu subscription in the long-term and I wish I could afford to enrol her for English, too (hence the 4 stars). ### 3/5 — Not Challenging Enough *2023-11-12, version 6.1.0* If you have a child who is more gifted when it comes to math and you are hoping this will meet them where they are at it did not for my child. This is a beautifully streamlined program. Not chaotic and busy like so many apps we had tried. It has wonderful levels. The best part was being able to write about our son’s learning style and needs and having a real life person review it and tailor the program for him for some additional time. So grateful and excited to keep using this program!! Highly recommend. Of note: this is NOT a babysitter app. We sit with our son while he works on it so he can ask questions. ### 5/5 — Pretty Good *2021-09-23, version 5.2.0* My kids used this app for a few years and it helped prepare them for school and fill in the gaps when they were in school. You have to create a login via their website, which can be frustrating, but once that is done you are good to go. ### 4/5 — Create account through website *2021-09-16, version 5.2.0* So with this app you before you download you must go on their website and create an account which i find misleading and there is no information on the app when you download it telling you to do so. Overall a pretty good app, has helped my son in 4th grade freshen up on things he forgot. ### 2/5 — Not really a teaching tool *2021-01-15, version 5.1.1* This app tries to teach through testing, but it doesn’t really introduce concepts or explains why answers are wrong. Also child doesn’t get feedback until they have completed entire test. If you have primary school children, feedback to wrong answer should be immediate. It is probably good for kids who are older and want test their limits, but it is certainly not a tool to help through home schooling lockdown. Harder than getting into America from Mexico. ### 1/5 — Komodo maths *2012-07-21, version 1.1* Hopeless. The initial screen asks you to log in, but necessarily you haven't got a login when you start. They don't give you direction to a place where you can create one. Their web page is not an address you can readily guess. After much fishing around, if you're lucky, you might try the "developer website" button on the app store, and get somewhere. At which point, they'll own up to this being a very expensive subs-only service (GBP 8 a month or GBP55 a year).
