De zoon in Zweden belt via de videocall en de leukste foto’s van uitstapjes, natuurfoto’s, spreuken, mopjes, etc kan door iedereen gepost worden. Met verschillende rechten voor alle gebruikers en meerdere beheerders mogelijk. En het belangrijkste…. Oma hoeft niets te doen. Alles komt automatisch op haar Komp-TV. Geen gedoe met gsm/apps. My Grandma lives on her own now, this is a brilliant way to keep in touch and share photos with her. Since most of my family and I don’t use FaceBook any more, this is also a nice way for us to see what we’re all up to! Few suggested improvements, in no particular order: 1) Dark mode for the iOS app 2) Ability to view pictures in a slide show 3) Tap to zoom on pictures 4) Upload multiple pictures at once ### 5/5 — Fantastisch toestel *2022-06-02, version 2.10.5* Bij begin Corona aangekocht, maar we gingen dit zowieso aankopen, ook zonder corona, omdat ik op afstand van mijn moeder woon (zij is in bejaardenhome). Fantastisch toestel daar ze zelf niks moet doen, en je als beheerder alles zelf kan bepalen. Heel eenvoudig om te bedienen, op te starten, en bij probleem goede support van team👍. Heel tevreden van aankoop. Wel vrij duur, doch aankoop waard. Opgelet in rustoord, deden in begin moeilijk rond privacy van medewerkers (echt belachelijk) maar compromis gevonden ( niks met toestel te maken).tijdens Corona was dit de enige mogelijkheid om mijn moeder te kunnen zien en spreken, ideale oplossing. Heel blij met aankoop!👍 ### 5/5 — A life saver, no seriously *2022-04-16* This is a must have if you have an elderly relative. My grandmother is happier and feels closer to the family. I also feel she remembers much more, peoples names, and events. She watches the screen all the time. Amazing, amazing, amazing. We purchased out right, so we only pay the contract for 4G connection. Very affordable per month. ### 5/5 — Brilliant for communication *2022-04-07* We bought this device for our elderly mother during the pandemic snd it has been a real game changer. Mum loves seeing us, it is so much better than a phone call and the ability to send photos and messages keeps her stimulated and involved. The quality of the screen is great and it is so simple to use. I recommend it to anyone with parents who have got beyond being able to use computers or mobile devices. ### 5/5 — KOMP *2022-04-01* An absolute lifesaver for our family. Dad is in a care home which is regularly in lockdown still with Covid - every time staff or residents have Covid, Dad gets no visitors and is not allowed out his room for 2 weeks! I really don’t think he would have the will or the fortitude to get through these fortnights had it not been for the Komp enabling us to “pop in” for a virtual natter, send him photos and text messages to keep his spirits up. She lives in a care home and we have been reliant on calling the staff who take the unit phone to her. With Komp we are now independent, able to contact her and see each other on screen whenever we want, the video call connects automatically and my mother does not need to press any buttons! I live abroad and she has not been able to see my children for more than a year in person, but now she loves seeing them on the screen. The sound and vision quality is great and it’s an added bonus to be able to send her photos and messages that appear on her screen. Would be great for anyone needing to remind elderly parents to take their medicine for example. Thank you Komp!! ### 5/5 — Life changing *2021-11-02* The genius of simplicity. Has connected a very old lady living on her own with numerous health challenges back with her family. Can’t recommend it enough ### 5/5 — Window to the world *2021-10-04* Before we discovered the KOMP device, I had long wished that just such a thing would come along and thanks to No Isolation, my wish eventually became reality. If you are an elderly, or disabled person for whom using a PC, laptop or notebook for communications is difficult and for whom a mere telephone cannot provide the pleasure of face-to-face contact with friends and family, then KOMP is the answer. Supremely simple and fuss free to use (no technical knowledge or experience required), the KOMP allows you to enjoy chats with loved ones at any time you wish as well as the possibility of seeing their photographs and receiving text messages on screen. All of this is done on a high quality stand alone screen (very similar to a smallish TV). When friends call, as long as you have the unit switched on you will hear a countdown tone for 10 beats along wit the name of whoever of your invited friends (no strangers can call you) then you will see them and be able to talk to them as a video call. It’s simple, reliable, trouble free and great fun and it’s the perfect answer for maintaining contact without the hassle of computers, mobiles and other such devices. I had one for my bedbound mum-in-law and I also have one for my own mum. Both families are great fans of the KOMP and during the current crisis it became even more essential than normal. Das geht garnicht und ist für mich ein KO Kriterium, da ich nicht weiß wie sicher meine Telefonnummer verwaltet wird und ob diese evtl. missbraucht wird. Ich habe mir die App nicht weiter angeschaut und sofort deinstalliert. Ich möchte vermeiden dass irgendwelche Anrufe an meine Angehörigen gehen. Wij ( de familie ) sturen constant foto’s naar haar over wat er in ons gezin allemaal gedaan word , zo blijft ze bij. However, an obvious improvement would be to allow people to post video as well as pictures. Is this upgrade in the pipeline? She has vascular dementia but has lived at home as this has helped make many things so much easier. Now she is in a home we still have it but use it More for photos and messages rather than calling Her. Recommend 100% ### 5/5 — Keeping in touch *2025-02-26* Komp has literally been a life saver as it has helped my mum who has dementia be able to remain engaged with family and friends, she was struggling with remembering how to use a handset phone. The fact that we call her and can be on a call for as long as needed is amazing, and as she doesn’t have to do anything makes it even easier. I also use it to talk to her carers which is great. The picture and message feature is brilliant; we post pictures of events and family members which helps mum remember and gives us something to talk about. I’ve told numerous family and friends about Komp and recommend it to professionals. Our neighbour told us about Komp and our whole family - from Orkney Islands to the South of UK are able to easily Video and call with Mam in Northumberland. We and Mam are very happy with Komp. She actually said she feels as though she has family with her all the time as our faces move across the screen and the pictures change regularly. Occasional teething problems and loss of connection from time to time but this has been a lifeline between my family and my father in his care home throughout lockdown. We still chat every day and he has been able to watch his great grandson develop from a newborn in 2020 to now. Little Henry has got to know dad this way where he might otherwise have been a stranger. Dad is now unable to walk so the family can come to him and send him photos of their lives. I don’t know what we would do without it. I can monitor dads moods and physical health and chat to his carers as they pop in with his tea etc. these things would be impossible on a normal phone call. I do wish I could post videos of Henry’s development but we watch them on my phone when I visit. There is a slight drawback in that he is immobile so the Komp must remain in exactly the right place to see him in his armchair. If the cleaner moves it by mistake I can’t see him fully. But we have guide tape on the floor and table to show where things need to be. I’m amazed there are no other residents or indeed anyone I’ve met who has even heard of the Komp. I feel like an unofficial ambassador for the company as I tell people how wonderful it is whenever I meet someone who might benefit. Thank you so much. Diane Gittings.
