Why create a free version if nothing is usable without paying ? There are so many REAL free apps that are much better. And the book we bought is also useless. Why isn’t there a general map showing where all the detailed maps are situated ???

Nach einem Mobiltelefon Wechsel funktioniert meine heruntergeladenen Karten Ausschnitte nicht mehr offline in der App. Nach Kontakt mit dem Support konnte sehr zeitnah eine hervorragende Lösung gefunden werden. Ich möchte mich hier noch einmal bei Ihnen bedanken und freue mich, dass ich die App wieder in vollsten Umfang verwenden kann.

I have just purchased the Kompass map for Lake Garda, downloaded this app and scanned the ISBN code as instructed.  I could view the map successfully on my IPhone.  I didn’t try plotting a route, but was happy with what I saw and found it a useful supplement to the physical map that I had purchased.

An und für sich ne tolle App mit hervorragendem Kartenmaterial. Dieses kann ich aber neuerdings nicht mehr nutzen: kaum zoome ich in den Kartenausschnitt hinein oder hinaus stürzt die App ab. Sie ist nach dem „wegswitchen“ zwar noch geöffnet und ich kann sie wieder auswählen, dabei startet sie aber wieder von vorn. Egal. So ist sie absolut unbrauchbar. Schade.

Problem mit Support behoben. Danke!

### 4/5 — Karten eigentlich gut- leider funktioniert es nur nicht mehr

Ich hab die Kompass App für viele Touren gerne genutzt und daher 2019 bereits die “Kompass All” Version kostenpflichtig (30 Euro oder so…) erworben. Nun klappt das aber nicht mehr, mir wird angezeigt, dass ich die Pro-Version erneut, im Abo-Modell, kaufen soll. Ja dann muss ich mir eben eine andere App suchen. Ärgern tut es mich trotzdem.

Update: der Support konnte das Problem lösen. Ich hoffe, dass es jetzt wieder dauerhaft funktioniert. Wenn ich plötzlich auf einer Tour nicht mehr auf meine Karten zugreifen könnte, wäre das schon recht ungünstig. Je nach Region lade ich die Karten ja nicht immer herunter… aber dafür verteile ich nun auch den vierten Stern. Vielen Dank fürs Helfen 😀

Die App funktioniert an sich sehr gut. Sie ist eine hervorragende Ergänzung zu den Gedruckten Kompass-Karten und bietet durch ihren Simplen Aufbau eine einfache Möglichkeit zur Navigation. Abzüge muss ich für einige bestehende Fehler geben. Beispielsweise funktioniert die Aufzeichnen-Funktion nicht immer perfekt oder wird durch das abstürzen der App unterbrochen, so dass die App neu installiert werden muss. Auch sind einige Funktionen unnötiger weise in der Premium-Version enthalten, etwa die Möglichkeit, mehrere Karten direkt auf dem Handy zu speichern oder selber touren zu planen. Ansonsten gefällt mir die App wie gesagt recht gut, vor allem wegen der hohen Grafikqualität der Karten, wie man sie eben von Kompass kennt.
