### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2026-01-20*

Used to be great, but stopped working with the major update. Now it always shows me the same small selection of photos, no matter how many I give it permission to access.

**Developer response:** In that case delete it and reinstall. It will fix the problem

### 1/5 — Rebuilt App removes old functionality entirely

*2026-01-15*

I loved the old Kompressor app because it let me compress any image. The new app only allows RAW compression. Some of my HEIC images might be 3MB and before I could easily bulk shrink them to under 1MB. This is now impossible.

**Developer response:** I’m sorry that you are disappointed, i’ll try to add that back in a future release.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-05-29*

After installing then deleting, twice the same thing happens on the iPad Pro. 2 screens FLASH back and forth without being able to sit up the application, much less the app show in the app list. Doesn’t appear anywhere on the iPad Pro. What gives?

**Developer response:** Sorry for the inconvenience, can you send me a video recording of what happens when you try to open the extension? maysam.shahsavari@gmail.com is my email address.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2019-04-28*

No idea how to use this app. It just does not work.

**Developer response:** It's an extension so you must enable it through Photos extensions, there is a video tutorial when you open the app. I write it here again: 1) Open an image from your camera roll 2) Tap 'Edit' on the top right corner 3) In the new dark view, tap the circle icon with three dots in it (it's in the bottom side of the screen) 4) Tap 'More' and enable 'Kompressor' 5) A new icon appears on the bottom, click on it to use the extension.

### 1/5 — Takes too long

*2018-12-15*

It takes an eternity to compress a simple picture although I have iPhone Xs Max 512! It happens to all images.

**Developer response:** Hello, Sorry for the inconvenience, I would like to know more about the problem, does it happen to all images?

### 4/5 — Video compressor

*2020-03-18*

Hi i need one apps same with this kompressor but fir video to save and replace my recorded video

### 4/5 — Good first try

*2019-05-29*

I kinda like it, it addresses an important need. Changes I would like is to make the compression function stand-alone, I don't want or need yet another filter generator, there are hundreds of filter apps already. Also would like a variable slider not just 3 presets. Finally (and this is the dealbreaker) PLEASE add a "save-as" or "save-copy" so it doesn't replace my original with a compressed version. That ruins it for me.

**Developer response:** Hello, I will add a new option to do this in the next update.

### 4/5 — iMessage your photos faster and easier

*2016-09-21*

Although iOS10 provides an option to send a compressed version of a photo in the Messages app, I'm just wondering why the implemented feature is not as practical as what this app offers. Unlike the built-in feature, you can simply reduce the size of your photos with a single tap without sacrificing the quality so much.

I hope it shows bigger image preview panes in portrait mode.

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2022-07-21*

I’ve had this app for several years and it works great! Does exactly what it says it does. Even after compressing and then making changes to photo, you can compress again. It May not be much but every little bit helps!! It’s never bugged out or glitched on me. Very reliable!! Thank you!!!

### 5/5 — Really Convinient

*2021-10-04*

No ads or anything, no sign up, just straight up decompression. I wish you could decompress videos though.

### 5/5 — Works well!!

*2019-05-29*

Just tried this, works well, dropped a portrait from 3MB to 1.5MB with Max compression, picture still looks good so it’s a handy addition if you need it.

### 5/5 — Very Impressed!

*2019-04-30*

This app does exactly what it says, with no loss in image quality. I routinely process/edit 15-24mp DSLR images on my iPad Pro. I took a 16.2 mp image that weighed in at 7.8mb and “Kompressed” it at the highest setting to 1.3MB, still retaining the 16.2mp image resolution. Since this app works as an extension, I copied the Kompressed image, then Reverted the original back to its un-Kompressed state. I then loaded them both into TwinViewer and zoomed in to 400% and could not tell the difference in the two images. Absolutely no change in resolution, no artifacts, nothing different. I use JPEGMini on my PC and it delivers similar results, this is truly a breakthru for iOS users. I am suitably impressed.

Recommended improvements to the app would include running as a standalone app that could batch process a bunch of images. As an extension, it would be nice if there was a Copy function/option so you could duplicate the Kompressed image without having to use a different extension app.

**Developer response:** Having happy customers is the most important thing for me. Thanks for your recommendations, I'll consider them for the next update.
