Overall decent app but your daily free konjo doesnt work. I have likes I cant unlock even after 24hrs. Which defeats the purpose of advertising 1 free konjo daily..

Previously, users could only use their daily Konjo to instantly match with someone. With our latest update you can also use a daily Konjo to unlock someone that’s liked you in the chat room 🌻

Why limit users to only a yearly subscription? There should be more pricing options to use the app. Like monthly or based on the amount of likes or passes. 
Forcing users to a yearly subscription is not a good business strategy. For that reason I can only give the app 2 stars.

Overall a decent dating app. Great location software to pull potential matches from your own city. App layout/design is okay but needs a touchup for better and fluid movement. 
However, the main flaw is that when you match with someone or someone likes your profile, you can’t see them because the unlock feature does not work( Major bug) needs debugging ASAP. Even when it’s been a whole 24 hours and a new Konjo day is available; the user can’t unlock who liked their profile.  This bug hinders the development of the app and defeats the purpose of that app. 
Lastly, the push to the premium version makes this app look like a money grab.

Its not give any option and just ask you to pay subscription, it’s fraud just fraud i hope that will take down forever.
Useless please don’t waist your time in this.

There are fake persona (profiles) created by the producer of this app. Be warned that they engage you so you feel that participants are active. The profile that was engaging me was named “seble”. The response from this account is sometimes quick and sometimes very delayed. I asked this profile if she is really seble or a profile used to engage users? It was a simple and not an offending question, but this profile blocked me. So I have no reason to doubt that these app is cheap and waste of time for anyone engaging in the system. They are just after your pocket so be warned.

This app should be free for sometime before it go premium to show its users it is worthy. But, It asks me to go premium every second and keeps showing me people that i swept left.

App doesn’t let you like, dislike. The only working buttons are the profile and chats. However, since it doesn’t let you do anything, please don’t waste your time on this app.

Don’t waste your time and money on this App. Most of it are fake accounts and the rest is old accounts. The creators of the App might use fake account to like your account to get you buy so you can see and start conversations but once you buy, they won’t talk to you or they tell you they have 3 or 4 kids and they are in far away place than you are to discourage your conversations. Don’t display your pics and spend your money for fake App doesn’t help you connect with other singles

There are very little active people. Most people are bots and made up fake accounts.

This is such an inclusive and well-designed app! I don’t think there’s any other Ethiopian dating app that is both in Amharic and English! I haven’t seen fake bots or “made up” users in my experience with Konjo, but there are users who don’t upload their own real image which I don’t think is the app’s fault but more so user enablement. Keep up the good work Konjo crew. Applauding your innovation and entrepreneurship for the community!

As a single diaspora resident living in Addis, I was excited to hear of and download the app. I couldn’t wait to be matched. Yet, right from the start, the app asks for too much information: phone number, email, date of birth, photo plus photo verification. I gave up, at photo verification, closed the app and deleted it from my phone. Too much work for unseen value. To me it seems like the app could just be a front for data collection.

Heres’s to better smooth the on-boarding process:

1. Request for phone number or email and send verification code.

2. Request and enter name and date of birth.

3. Allow new registrants to proceed to main screen, to view and participate in matching activities.

* You need to find innovate ways to have new registrants to post photos and update profiles with useful information. For example, you could inform them that matches have a higher success rate if photo/pictures are included and updated in the profile. 

* By the way, the only useful information I gave away was my phone number. DOB and photo were too much information to give away to an app I have no clue of in its proposed value. 

Finally, I do appreciate the innovate effort put into the app. It is much needed, and it will be successful, which I am certain of, but only if the app is able to deliver better and useful user experience.

The app isn’t bad, but it has limit to swipe pass or like and won’t allowed you to continue pass other than that it’s fine.

**Developer response:** Hi Henry, thank you for the review. Since we’re a smaller community we can’t provide unlimited passes and likes just yet, 5 passes and 5 likes a day. As we get more users will increase the number of likes and passes users have a day. We occasionally provide extra likes, passes, and Konjo’s make sure to have notifications on :)
