### 2/5 — Currently Poor - Software holding back an otherwise decent system

*2023-05-27, version 1.18.11*

Recent app updates have not improved Konnect+. My charger appears to be working, but I Konnect+ doesn’t seem to be seeing it. Despite having plugged in and charged a couple of cars over the past 10 days, Konnect+ has not ‘seen’ the charger since the 16th May 2023.

Plugging in a vehicle doesn’t garner any response from the app, the Home Screen just unhelpfully says “Please plug in a vehicle”. Clearly I’ve done that. I’ve tried cutting the power to my charger via the breaker and reinstating it a few mins later to no avail.

There is also the fact that they keep changing the app functionality without providing an in-app change log. An app this essential requires release notes that are presented to the user on first launching with a new version. Otherwise, confronted with new features/nomenclature the user is left confused as to whether things have broken. The “Please plug in a vehicle” terminology is completely new - it didn’t used to say that.

I appreciate that Andersen has changed hands, but if they want to be treated as a luxury player they need to up their game significantly.

### 2/5 — No longer does what it should..

*2023-04-24, version 1.18.2*

A year ago I wrote a glowing review, but the app has ceased to work properly and the new owners - surprisingly - don’t seem interested in putting things right. Plenty of other customers are reporting issues [which is doing damage to the brand] and my own emails have gone unanswered. Currently my usage figures are precisely double what they should be (a 4hr charge @ 7.3kWh is about 29.2kW, whereas it reads 58.4), and I am unable to change the tariff as it won’t let me set a finish time. Come on Evios, get your act together.

### 2/5 — Not out of the woods yet!

*2023-04-15, version 1.17.11*

After months of stable usage, the graphs have started misbehaving. Charts showing charge when there was none, other days missing completely, even though the text report correctly records usage.
I’m hopeful new management will urgently address issues. This application has been a lame duck and must be a critical element in last Autumn’s demise.

As consumers we receive nothing at all in terms of communication, no updates, no coming soon features. No “wish list” responses. Not even a “bear with us”
Really disappointing. (Very encouraging to see new CEO recognises need to write to customers though)
As another reported, it’s not that hard to be a good supplier, esp when the hardware is so good!

### 1/5 — Broken app

*2022-11-07, version 1.17.11*

One of the most expensive (and highest specified) chargers on the market deemed useless by the failed app.

Charging schedules disappear and charges randomly which is outside of the discounted rate.

£1,500 wasted.

### 1/5 — This is the worst

*2022-11-04, version 1.17.11*

This app has got to be the worst. Considering the expensiveness of the Anderson EV, I would expect an app that is reliable. The scheduler randomly disengages causing the care to charge during peak times. Lights going off and on at the unit. App takes forever to connect and then any changes takes ages to register.
Pretty useless app since the update.
Don’t bother buying an Anderson until they sort the quality of this app. Yuk.

### 1/5 — Scheduler costs money!

*2022-11-03, version 1.17.11*

Main reason to buy this product for me was to schedule the charging times to make the most of cheap rates from the awesome octopus energy. Kept finding that my schedules disappeared, I put it down to teething problems. However over a year later this is still happening! No excuses get it sorted been far to long! I wouldn’t bother buying this product until it is!

### 1/5 — Costing me money!

*2022-10-19, version 1.17.11*

The app is constantly resetting and losing my schedule or logging me out. I’m on an ev tarrif and the failures are making me accidentally charge in the high cost periods. It’s not on!!!

### 1/5 — Shocking company

*2022-09-25, version 1.17.10*

They put themself at the top in their sector, bad install, miss sold what it can do and a shocking app that is down most of its time. Go for a cheaper option and get more value.

### 1/5 — Best looking charger on the market let down by its hosting and IT infrastructure

*2022-09-19, version 1.17.10*

Without a doubt the charger and fitting and customer service at the outset were first class. The app and its reliability have been really poor and with out some decent permeant solutions this will ultimately have a negative impact on the company. Many reviews here speak to the unreliable nature of the charger combined with this app. Anderson really need to invest in a fix. Amazing looks if only it’s reliability was anywhere near as good!

### 1/5 — Same problem loosing Schedule +

*2022-09-19, version 1.17.10*

Have logged in past of schedule being forgotten well it’s haves 3 times in the last 10 days. New fault my app will not connect to my A2 I’m just getting the wirly gig of doom. Done soft reset still won’t connect. Done Hard reset you hear the internals reset but no app so I can’t set up my times to charge my car unless I wait up till 00:30 to switch on my car will turn itself off after 4 hours as that’s all it needs.
Expensive plug in charger

### 2/5 — Terrible app for the cost

*2022-09-19, version 1.17.10*

Love the hardware but the app is absolutely shocking. Never loads up and sometimes disables itself. I definitely wont be using this company again based on the app which is a real shame.
Anderson fix your service and your servers

### 3/5 — Costs by date

*2022-09-10, version 1.17.9*

Any chance of including the ability to set a cost for a date range. I found I changed the rate and it back dated to all dates!!

### 2/5 — App quality going backwards

*2022-08-16, version 1.17.8*

Had an Andersen charger over a year now and like others I’m disappointed with the seemingly downhill slope the app reliability and quality is going.

The issue with set schedules disappearing meaning you car starts charging on peak rate electric seems to have got better recently for me. Time will tell long term though.

It’s always been a slow app and I think it should just be accepted that Andersen don’t have the technical ability to improve the responsiveness here, but if things all worked properly then it would be a reasonable trade-off.

Main gripe right now is the charge history tab was redesigned for seemingly no good reason - it just takes up more space and I swear is somehow more clunky and makes you scroll more. This is besides the point though as currently you can’t even change view to see monthly/yearly data which is a major annoyance and doesn’t seem to be a priority for Andersen to fix.

For some reason the app seems to be unable to keep you logged in for more than a week right now. Every time it wants me to log back in, there’s the dread that yet again it will have forgotten your schedules - but hasn’t happened recently - yet.

Overall it performs the basics, but I’m fairly confident that a lower cost charge point manufacturer out there could have a richer and more reliable app. Andersen don’t offer any API access, smart home integrations, ability to work with Octopus Energy smart tariffs etc.

It makes you question if the premium for the nice looking box on the wall was worth it.

### 1/5 — Payment history broke

*2022-08-10, version 1.17.5*

Seems buggy App. Current issue which has been on going for weeks is that you can only look at daily usage. The week/month/year part does not work.

### 1/5 — Great device. Rubbish app.

*2022-08-07, version 1.17.5*

If you are looking for the best EV wall charger the answer is Andersen.

The app on the other hand just needs work. It doesn’t need much, just the ability to actually see what you have spent over a period of time.

Spend some time getting the functionality working - it’s not that hard. I’m not even talking about the advanced analytics you should be providing.

This is holding you back. You should be ruling the world - invest in the app. Spend some money on a real dev team. Work with Google to give you the data capabilities.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Andersen A2 charger

*2026-03-04, version 1.18.30*

This app is so bad same as the the charger I have issues all the time with it.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Wasted my time.

*2026-01-10, version 1.18.30*

Tried two different networks, two different devices and no joy….Gave up. Sort it out Andersen.

### 1/5 — Terrible app’

*2024-05-31, version 1.18.28*

I’ve now had the Andersen unit for approximately 8 months. The unit itself is a great looking, study box and conceals the unsightly cable and plug when stowed.

The app’ unfortunately, for such an expensive, premium product, is woeful. On several occasions I’ve woken to discover the car has not charged. Some days it works just fine, some days it doesn’t work at all, even when settings and schedules remain unchanged. I have no confidence in the reliability of the app’.
How is it that the physical product is so good but the software behind it so bad? The company have been aware of these issues for years and have done nothing to address it.

Think twice before spending £1.5k on this fancy wall ornament. Other products are half the price and have a better app’.

### 1/5 — Great looking charger let down by poor app

*2023-05-29, version 1.18.11*

Completely unreliable charging, woken up several times to discover app had disabled itself and there car was not charged. Just unacceptable, great looking wall ornament but cannot rely on it to fulfil the most basic of functions - to charge my car.

### 1/5 — Cannot remove security lock

*2023-04-24, version 1.18.2*

App just update can no longer remove security lock to the device this needs to be sorted ASAP the swipe across is too long for the screen so it never unlocks

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2023-04-18, version 1.17.11*

The app doesn’t serve any useful purpose as the potentially useful functionality like logging charging costs doesn’t work. All it’s good for is telling you if the car is plugged in, which you’d probably already know. This is a shame given how good the box looks - at least from a distance; close-up, the box seems poorly made, with a wonky top cover and flaky paint on the front panel.

### 1/5 — Good looking box, terrible app

*2023-03-11, version 1.17.11*

Had loads of problems getting the app to do anything - scheduled charging, remote disable etc. Anderson had to replace the hardware as faulty last week and now the app won’t even connect to Wifi. Done loads of resets, erased app etc etc, nothing. Just rely on the scheduled charging via the car now. Really poor.

### 1/5 — Too unreliable

*2023-02-20, version 1.17.11*

The app is too unreliable

Constant crashing

Slow

The tech boss know the have a lame duck

### 1/5 — Cheaply made app

*2023-01-17, version 1.17.11*

Disappointing app for what seems a higher end EV charger. Far too slow to load up - hire a better app company! When I move house next year, I would be considering Andersen again because of it.

### 1/5 — ANDERSON IS BANKRUPT /SHUT DOWN

*2022-11-19, version 1.17.11*

I’ve now sent 5 emails to customer service as wall charger not functioning properly and hd zero response! The app and schedule are constantly failing now no lights on unit - their premium product is failing on every front - such a shame - but the the lack of response from the company is unacceptable - now taking legal advice due to the additional costs and product failings

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Pleasure to use

*2024-07-29, version 1.18.30*

Works really well

### 5/5 — Spotless

*2022-02-15, version 1.10.0*

have it for 2 months now, does what it says without any errors, almost boring

### 5/5 — Good app. Solar improvement suggestion

*2021-09-08, version 1.10.0*

The app is great. I have feature improvement request. For solar charging please increase the number of steps at the top end of solar / grid mix. Currently it’s 100, 75, 50, 25 and 0 % grid. At 0% the device tries to maintain a bit of export. At the next set down it pulls some grid but it’s not insignificant. Having say a 5% and 10% grid would fix this and ensure that as much solar as possible goes into the car.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2021-01-17, version 1.8.0*

No issues, does exactly what it’s says on the tin!

100% reliable scheduling and charge/cost reporting.

### 5/5 — Ample Energy

*2020-06-20, version 1.6.0*

This app is fantastic I can alter the power consumption as I have a solar power so now it’s virtually free energy for charging my car great work lads if you’re having problems yourself always contact them they are always happy to help
kind regards
Paul

### 4/5 — Generally works great

*2022-08-09, version 1.17.5*

Just works but today noticed that the usage data is stuck on daily stats rather than monthly and yearly as it used to be. Other than that bug then very happy with it

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2020-08-30, version 1.8.0*

I’ve had no issues and have been able to disable and enable the charge point remotely, which is a great feature. The UI could be better and it’s a bit slow to load up your reports, so perhaps these could be cached in the app. The only real admission seems to be the ability to get a notification when the charging has stopped (e.g, connected but not charging) in case there’s an issue and you’re not caught short when you jump in the car or as a reminder to unplug the cable if preferred.

### 3/5 — latest update (updated review as support fixed)

*2023-06-05, version 1.18.11*

has broken the scheduler (not good when on octopus agile), reporting and now whilst the car does charge the app no longer recognises the car as being plugged in. The system is now useless other than as a plug in and charge manually box and is the most expensive on the market. When will you fix this?

update: I contacted support and Rachel asked for some info about my charger (screenshot from app was enough) she was able to make changes on their side and full functionality has returned …. so support sorted it out quite quickly … this I recommend anyone with issues contacts them … however this shouldn’t really happen on the first place hence 3 stars at this point

### 3/5 — Chart data broken

*2023-04-13, version 1.17.11*

Basic functionality is fine but currently the Charts tab is not reflecting the data in the Table tab. Can someone please take a look.

### 3/5 — Linking charger to Wi-Fi

*2022-10-06, version 1.17.11*

Had a new internet router. Thought it would be easy to link but 2 hours later no luck.
Phoned the helpline, they went through it with me but still no luck. They said it must be an issue their end. Good news is that the charge should still work even if not linked to the app, just security of charger always on.
Also since the latest update my car doesn’t always recognise that the car is plug in so doesn’t always charge overnight.
Great charger and app simple to use.
Customer helpline answer quickly.
Just need to fix issues quicker.
