Great app

### 5/5 — Finally, a Korean app that really works!

*2026-05-22*

I’ve tried many Korean learning apps before, including Duolingo and LingoDeer, LingoDeer+ but Koppa is by far my favorite. The lessons feel much more natural, balanced, and enjoyable. Unlike other apps that move too fast or introduce difficult grammar too early, Koppa teaches in a smooth and clear way that makes learning less stressful and more effective.

I also really love the Instagram content and pronunciation explanations from the creator — it makes Korean feel more alive and easier to understand.

Thank you for creating such a thoughtful and well-made app. I highly recommend it to anyone learning Korean!

### 5/5 — Very helpful

I have no experience but desire to learn this beautiful language and this app has been so good for me as a beginner.

### 5/5 — Liking this so far!

*2026-05-05*

This is an easy to use app to learn short phrases/words. I love the playback features and feedback… I wish all the lessons had the try again feature…
Few days in: I’m finding on some phrases, although I’m mimicking what’s being said, it’s telling I’m still wrong…
I have a request to give more trys until satisfactory…3 strikes is too less

### 5/5 — Engaging

*2026-05-03*

I really like the format. It is really engaging and easy to use. Instant feedback is so helpful. It would be nice to choose a level of difficulty right away but I think the app adjusts to progress steadily and fully. After testing the app for a couple of days I am really starting to get into it. I like it very much. Especially the recording feature. Being able to listen to the native speaker and record my performance is helpful. I can clearly see where someone may not understand me because of using the wrong tone or inflection.

### 5/5 — Amazing

Great app! I love the new feature that lets you read and speak the words and compare to the right pronunciation.

### 5/5 — ❤️

I love this app! Especially the fact that it lets you practice pronunciation with real time feedback, AND you can practice writing as well!

### 5/5 — I love the app!

*2026-04-24*

I love the voice analyzer and the writing practice. It’s a great way to cement the vocab and pronunciation in my brain.

### 5/5 — Fun

*2026-04-23*

It’s really fun to get real time feedback in my pronunciation but I don’t remember things well. So I have to do a lot of repeating for it to stick. However, I like that the app allows for reading, speaking and writing Hangul in every aspect. Even with the speaking portion, you see the words/phrases in both English and Hangul.
It also has the letters and vowels themselves you can write out and say/sound out.
Another really cool thing are the little notes in each lesson. The “I can hear the effort in that” makes me smile and encourages me to keep going. ♥️

### 5/5 — Awesome!

### 5/5 — Ótimo

### 5/5 — Amazing!

I love that you can switch between speaking, writing, etc, and it gives you perfect feedback!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Péssima experiência

*2026-07-21*

Testei a versão gratuita por 1 ano e gostei, mas agora q paguei o plano o app não entra mais… Decepção foi tanta que resolvi desistir e desinstalar

### 1/5 — Não consigo me inscrever

*2026-07-09*

Coloco meu nome e trava ao escolher o nome em Hangul

### 1/5 — SCAM

*2026-02-23, version 3.5.0*

They make it hard to cancel a membership!! I was trying to cancel mine before the trial ended as I find this app lacking, but couldn’t find it anywhere! Then I was charged for a YEAR subscription. I’ve tried to contact them through this whole thing but there’s been silence from them. Please refund my money!

### 3/5 — Speaking feature not working on my iPad

*2026-08-17*

I gave this a solid try… I think the writing is quite good, well, as good as scribbling on a screen can get which for me is the same chicken scratch I spent decades having to work hard to avoid when writing prescriptions before they just made them electronic😂, and having polite and casual forms is great… (I already knew Hangul characters from other apps so went straight to phrases since I want to get better at spelling which is mainly a matter of syllable breaks for me, that and syllables ending in ㅅ/ㅆ or ㅎ which trip me up a bit.)

I REALLY wish the speaking part of this wouldn’t keep insisting it cannot detect my greeting; I could hear it clearly, and it isn’t as if it is going to be 7 seconds long, so the “too short” probably means under half a second. After trying over and over, even going to other sections and working then coming back, I am giving up for now and uninstalling it since that was the top feature I wanted to see. If it hangs on hello, I think I am meant to say goodbye. My mic works fine, but perhaps it was created with the expectation of a phone microphone and not a tablet one. I even spoke straight into it in a quiet room in the dead of night, and it consistently failed to register that it had audio to compare… or maybe the software was bugging out every time I tried.

I hope they can fix it and am at least glad it seems to work for others, perhaps people using phones, instead.

One last feedback: in the writing section for phrases, consider having the speed button to slow it down and maybe with time have a male and female for reading them as for me the female voice range is easier/more clear sounding with Korean in general than lower male tones that seem to get too quiet for many sound patterns.

### 3/5 — Ótima proposta

*2026-02-05*

Recomendo :)

### 5/5 — So far so good

Update: I wish I could revisit the speaking practice!!! Once done, there’s no way to go back what’s done or even see my progression…

I’ve only been using the app for a week but so far I like the listen and repeat style of learning. I’m excited to see how far I can go with this app.
