# Discover suitable and related Chords "on the fly"
When playing melodies, kord highlights suitable chords based on the interval that sounded last, so you can instantly discover various possible harmonizations and progressions.
When playing chords or intervals, kord highlights related chords. You can intuitively control the desired degree of relationship simply by varying the played subsets of the original chord's intervals. This also enables you to explicitly specify the notes that you want to focus on when searching for the next chord for your progression.

# Explore Chords available in a given Scale
kord shows chords that are available in a selected scale sorted by complexity.

# Improvise on Scales and Chords
Scales and chords are shown as markings on the keyboard, enabling you to improvise fluently even on complex chords and scales you don't have internalized yet.

# Search for Scales
Find scales by selecting a set of notes directly on the keyboard. This is great when you're looking for a modulation that sustains your melodic leitmotif!

# Create your own Chord Progressions
While exploring and improvising, just drag and drop chords you like to create chord progressions.

# Store and share your Ideas
Save your ideas for later use or send it to other musicians by e-mail

MIDI-Out is available as an In-App-Purchase.

### 2/5 — Good: free, Bad: doesn't work

*2017-03-30, version 1.0.5*

Doesn't really work: knows c major but not c minor, no minor 7ths, why do several chord possibilities appear and disappear seemingly without reason? Very limited chord palette. Try reverse chord finder for $5 on sale, works much better.

### 1/5 — Owner

*2017-01-11, version 1.0.5*

Color scheme impossible to see. Can't find any instructions. S
Chords won't drag down. Give me back my money. I've been duped

### 3/5 — A little help?

*2016-12-10, version 1.0.5*

Honestly, I think this is could be one of the best "assistive" keyboard apps I've seen. It's layout is functional and well designed. It seems like it does everything I'm looking for except...who knows? There isn't a help menu, tool tip, manual or even a tutorial video. Frustrating beyond belief to see a developer drop the ball on such a basic thing, especially with an app that has so much potential.

### 1/5 — Midi issue

*2016-09-10, version 1.0.5*

Doesn't have the proper midi send messages to send cords.
Can't seem to find the users manual?
Was misleading so im going to be asking for a refund if this isn't fixed.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2016-08-29, version 1.0.5*

Really nice app. Love the midi out. Hope it gets midi in at some point so it can played with an external keyboard. Be nice if it were audiobus and IAP compatible so it would be easier to record into other apps.

### 3/5 — Has potential but still needs work

*2016-08-22, version 1.0.5*

This app is good for finding chords that work well with other cords and structuring music. It's also handy for seeing the relationship between scales and chords. However the midi implementation out to other apps which is an in app purchase does not work. I've tried to run this to Korg Gadget as well as other apps. It shows up, but does not work at all. I'm hoping future revisions fix this. Additionally there really is no manual or other kind of support for you to actually learn how to use it. You're left on your own. That needs to change. Lastly it is a beautiful app visually, if the rest of the suggestions above are implemented this is a five-star app

### 3/5 — Would use it if I could read it!

*2016-07-15, version 1.0.5*

Horrible color scheme making much of it very difficult to read.

### 2/5 — Beginners avoid this app

*2016-07-13, version 1.0.5*

This app, the non existent supporting help file and the main website falls well short of what could reasonably be called well rounded. I bought Klimper to help me learn music, in particular how to string together chords, but also the other tips and tricks one would pick up just by participating in the process. Music is hard and a music app that makes things clearer and easier would be great right? Because this app is pitched as being intuitive, good looking, easy, flexible, I paid the cash and bought it, plus the MIDI out add on. But the developer has failed on a number of fronts to produce a really good app. First the help file just does not exist, I have to learn to use this app myself by trial and error. Did I say music is hard? Well try learning by trial and error a music app full of chord theory, then hard just gets harder.

Secondly the app is pitched as able to be used by music theory beginners. Well I'm an expert beginner so beginners pay attention! This app does not explain itself, offers way too many unexplained choices with every key press, doesn't tell you what note you just played on the keyboard, ignores octave changes between keyboard and suggested chords, has a color code system between keyboard dots and chords that isn't very clear, has mystery function buttons which don't appear to do anything.

Thirdly, the main website which is the only kind of help for this app is written as a sales pitch and when it does delve in to how to use detail, the developer uses advanced music terms to explain things. Again not beginner friendly.

If you understand music theory like the developer then buy this app! The rest of us should walk away.

### 5/5 — Just the right chord.

*2016-05-29, version 1.0.5*

This is a wonderful tool for finding just the right chord or discovering new chords. But it is not without a few shortcomings. There is no in app help, so you have to seek out the app's website. Not a big problem. Its MIDI out is very limited, I had hoped to link it to Notion on my iPad or to Reason on my PC... no luck with either of them. At this point it has no means of exporting the chord progressions you create. It would be helpful to see what the chord would look like on the staff, maybe future updates will address these shortcomings and have more features for integration with other apps. But for the price and the ease of use, I think this app is off to a good start.

### 5/5 — Luv it
