### 5/5 — So much more fun than flash cards.

*2021-03-13, version 1.0.1*

So far, I’ve found this app is not the best for beginners to learn Korean grammar or pronunciation. However, it’s a neat tool for those looking to learning then sharpening new words.

Very cute reimagining of the old flash card grind.

I’d love to see Mandarin Chinese version in the future. :) 🇨🇳

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2021-03-02*

This game is so cute I love it so much! I especially love that it goes fast and you can turn off romanization to challenge yourself! 10/10, would recommend 👌🏼

### 5/5 — Top notch

*2021-01-27*

It’s really refreshing to see this kind of language app. Although it only covers vocab words and such but it makes the learning fun. Actually having another objective other than learning the language. It has a nice layout to it too. Easy to maneuver and work with. I am giving five star rate because it’s actually is what it say it is. Unlike other language apps where they say things in the description but it shows nothing like that in the actual app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-12-24, version 1.0.1*

Very impressive!

### 5/5 — It’s fun and makes you learn

*2020-12-01*

I thought it would be laggy but it’s really clean and the game play is simple and enjoyable. I mess up a lot because the timer is scary but over all, this is a really fun language game and will definitely continue using it! :)

### 5/5 — Awesome for learning Hangul

*2020-11-14*

I have tried a dozen different apps by now. This is the first one that actually feels like a game. Most of the rest are almost identical. I absolutely love this app for learning Hangul. I turned off the romanization right away. The combination of pronunciation and speed has dramatically improved my ability to read Korean. I especially love the old school battle game style. It feels a lot less like learning and a lot more like playing a game. I searched for agents to find something like this.

### 5/5 — Really fun and first time seeing this.

*2020-10-29*

It’s really fun for learning and reviewing Korean words. I’m only on the first stage so I’m hoping it gets more complex. I like that I can go back and play stages I didn’t master. This game/ learning tool has a lot of potentials. Maybe in the future you can play against friends or integrate more D&D play into it.

### 5/5 — Great for learning vocabulary

*2020-09-30, version 1.0.1*

This game is entertaining and I believe it is great for learning and enforcing vocabulary into your memory!

### 5/5 — Good

*2020-08-23, version 1.0.1*

It’s good, and fun

### 5/5 — Underrated 😌

*2020-08-20*

This app needs more attention!! It’s a fun way to learn korean and I will definitely continue to use this now and in the future.

### 5/5 — Effective!

*2020-08-13, version 1.0.1*

This is a fun little free game that you can use any time you have spare time. Even though I’m passively playing the levels, I find that I am actually remembering the words that I’m using and the aspect of playing a game also makes it more enjoyable than other flash card apps👍🏽👍🏽

### 5/5 — Great for learning new vocabulary.

*2020-07-11*

Really liked how simple this was. Nice little app to help build vocabulary. Appreciated that you could turn off romanization when practicing, that has been helping me build my Hangul reading fluency as well! Great work.

### 5/5 — I play a lot of video games

*2020-07-03*

In elementary school I learned stock market basics through Neopets, in middle school l learned interior decorating from The Sims and now I’m learning Korean using dungeon.
I appreciate the reward progression, the timer for a rush and the Lofi aesthetics.

Better than Rosetta Stone and Duo Lingo (for my learning style) - really appreciate the time the developers put into this. Thank you for helping me learn Korean.

### 5/5 — VERY GOOD

*2020-04-17, version 1.0.1*

It’s good. It has no ads no nothing

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Sound?

*2022-09-21*

i’m not sure if anyone else had this experience, but i started to play the game for the first time with headphones because of the place i was in. when i got home, and i started to play the game, i couldn’t hear anything. i uninstalled then reinstalled but still nothing.

it’s an overall good game but it’s kind off useless for me to have it on my phone if i can’t hear a thing

### 1/5 — Don’t download

*2021-03-01, version 1.0.1*

This game takes your money and you can’t restore once you delete the app and redownload it.

Reported to apple.

### 1/5 — Wrong pronunciation

*2020-11-28, version 1.0.1*

“Oppa” is pronounced supper weird like “okka” I wonder what else they pronounce wrong...

### 3/5 — Take away the romanisation

*2019-12-08, version 1.0.1*

I would give it 5 out of 5 if it didn’t have the romanisation. For example just write woman. Don’t write the yoga in English too. Just have the Hangul version.

### 4/5 — Gahhh

*2021-08-06, version 1.0.1*

This would be perfect but the ENERGY

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2020-08-23*

I love this app! It’s a quick and fun way to learn common phrases in korean everyday! A nice suggestion is to make the music softer without affecting the volume of the vocabulary phrases or have a separate option to close the music but keep the volume for the pronunciation of words because I can barely hear the phrase over the music.

### 4/5 — Really awesome app

*2020-08-16*

This is a fantastic app. I rated it 4 stars because the graphics extend beyond the safe area of the screen, so some of the game is cut off. Otherwise, I love it and it’s definitely teaching me some vocabulary in a fun way! Brings me back to my childhood :-)

### 4/5 — Excellent learning method

*2019-05-11, version 1.0.1*

2019-05-11

This is a great way to learn. I’m getting old now and learning new things and retaining them aren’t so easy anymore (tears streaming down my face). I didn’t think something like this would help me so much but it is. This isn’t a problem but the answers change position every time and if it shows the same thing again, I accidentally choose the wrong answer, plus I gotta go search for it in the amount of time given. That’s not really bad. It makes sure you know and not just memorizing location. I started learning the Korean alphabet slightly differently so I have to get used to the romanji used. I know I should be using the Hangul 한글 instead. Did I make the Korean correctly? I’m not sure. I hope that I did. Anyway, thank you dev for such a great learning tool!!! I might even boost it up to 5 ⭐️ which is rare for me.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-08-24*

Although the voices could be better, it still deserves a 5/5 stars. I learn better with games and this game has helped my retain so much Korean (and Japanese) words. I would recommend this to anyone serious about learning the Korean language.

### 5/5 — 재미있는! This is a great way to practice Korean vocabulary

*2024-08-10*

South Korea is awesome. It is my favorite place on earth. I currently have a tutor that lives in Seoul. I also have several phone apps. My tutor teaches me a lot of the basic structure of the language. But one of the things that can be difficult is remembering all of the vocabulary. Imagine learning English and trying to learn all of the verbs. It’s difficult. This is a fun and rewarding app that lets you learn vocabulary, but helps you to remember it. Highly recommend it. Games are always a fun and interactive way to learn a language. It feels less like working just more fun.🤩

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The greatest, most fun app to learn Korean!!!

*2024-04-29, version 1.0.1*

Useful Korean and easy to understand. The UI is awesome, and also easy to use. It’s seriously the best app to learn Korean.

### 5/5 — More options?

*2024-03-05*

This game is really great and helps but I would like it better if there were some mini games for word matches of words you already know or just other things like that. Really fun though!

### 5/5 — BRILLIANT

*2023-08-26*

At first I didn't like it but that was on me. I got frustrated 'cos I couldn't read Hangul fast enough to keep up. After months of study, I'm back & I LOVE THIS. My reading is only improving!!!

### 5/5 — Great Vocabulary Learner

*2022-06-14, version 1.0.1*

I have been looking for a mobile game style Korean learning app to make learning the language more fun. Thank you for making this app. It’s very rewarding to play!

### 5/5 — Wonderful gem of an app!

*2021-10-16*

Found this game while browsing the App Store. Its a wonderful game that is fun and teaches important vocabulary. 10/10 감사합니다!

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2021-04-13, version 1.0.1*

This is a really nice game to help people learn new words in Korean! I would say that it mainly focuses on just words rather than grammar and such, but I definitely recommend it!

### 5/5 — from someone who gave up

*2021-04-07, version 1.0.1*

i've been learning korean for years ontop of schoolwork. i'd put myself in this position where i had learned all of the grammar i needed, but i didn't have any vocabulary. i started this game, and its reignited my passion for korean. i genuinely enjoy it. i 10/10 do recommend :))

### 5/5 — Fun

*2021-04-02, version 1.0.1*

No nonsense of unlock if you pay apps. Free, just watch ads once you finish a level.
