### 5/5 — VERY GOOD

*2014-04-17*

I'm actually amazed. I thought this was going to be silly but it's actually super informational. It's great that it teaches you slowly and you can look back at past lessons. It's so easy I sit sometimes for hours doing it. I love this app. Definitely worth it. I can also pick out Korean and understand it a lot easier than I could.

### 5/5 — So simple and effective.

*2014-01-15, version 1.0.8*

I knew nothing about Korean and this got me so interested I bought the full version.

I've always had a hard time learning non-roman languages and this app made it so simple. No tests, no explaining, just see and say.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!!!

### 5/5 — Simplicity is key!

Love how simple this app is. Not only is it easy but it's effective! I hardly ever buy apps but now I'm planning on buying the full version!

### 5/5 — Amazing !

This app has helped me learn a vast amount of the korean symbols ! It is, to me the fastest and easiest way to learn the Korean alphabet! I'd recommend this app to everyone !

### 5/5 — Really great app!

*2013-08-04*

Even though it's only the lite version, it really helps you learn the basics of the Korean alphabet! This app was so good that I downloaded the full app to continue learning the alphabet!

### 5/5 — Excellent

I already went through the first chapter and learned a lot! I recommend this app to Korean learners. 바 나 나

### 5/5 — Loved it.

This app is absolutely excellent.

I quickly became obsessed with the South Korean culture (yes, the k-pop too!) and so I really wanted to understand the language. I browsed the Internet for some ideas on how I should start, and found that more often than not people were recommending learning hangul first, which is the korean alphabet. Although learning the alphabet hasn't helped me with knowing what any words mean, I was still able to read (sound out/romanize) signs and letters and posters and things of that nature. Now that I'm learning words and grammar, I believe knowing the alphabet and what sounds all the characters make has made it ten times easier with pronouncing and learning the words. Not to mention, even if you don't know what the words mean, your friends will think it's pretty cool you can read it ;)

I highly recommend buying the full version of you'd like to continue learning Korean.

감사합니다 <3

### 5/5 — Great for gradual learning!

Easy to use and "teaches" bit by bit instead of just giving an overwhelming amount of information.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever!!

Worst app ever!!

### 1/5 — I don't get it?!

*2013-01-02, version 1.0.8*

It doesn't tell me anything!!!
To me Dumb

### 1/5 — Don't bother with the lite.

*2012-08-08, version 1.0.8*

You only get to learn one word.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2013-12-16, version 1.0.8*

This is a nice app for what it is.

### 3/5 — Very good, one suggestion...

*2012-07-16*

This app is quite good for learning to pronounce, I love how they pair the individual sounds with the letters, then the syllables as a whole. My one complaint/suggestion is that for me, it doesn't seem to have any sound unless I put headphones in. It would be nice to be able to use the app without having to hunt down my headphones every time I want to use the app. Also, it's quite soft to be able to hear the sounds pronounced, but then gets Really loud when I go to turn the page. This happens both on my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2. Please fix these 2 issues, and this easily gets 5 stars!!!

### 4/5 — Surprisingly Effective Learning Tool - But not for everyone!

*2018-10-17, version 1.1.0*

This app throws you in the deep end. No explanations or objectives or anything. This is NOT suitable for a complete beginner starting on the journey of learning Korean letters.

However, if you have been watching Youtube and learned some or all of the Korean letters, and you want a flash card to refine your pronunciation or test yourself, this apps works well.

This app is suitable for anyone wanting to take the consonants and vowels together to form words and sound them out.

There are odd this that pop-up at the end of the chapters. Like a photo of ‘marathon runners crossing the finish line’. Is the test word ‘runners’ or ‘marathon’ or ‘finish line’? No idea. Dora (children’s book character) appears in the app as well. What if learners don’t recognise the character? I think the developer would be better off using pictures like ‘apple’ or ‘banana’ or some other simple objects that will not confuse the learner.

I would have rated 3-stars but because the Lite app gave me couple of days of learning, the value-add, plus effectiveness of this app made it worthy of 4-stars.

### 4/5 — A silent app

*2014-02-17, version 1.0.8*

This app is too simple to believe. It's great that it helps to get rid of all the distractions and focus on the letters and pronunciations. But, still, I wish it could talk.

### 4/5 — Good..

*2012-09-20*

Very nice for those that want a sample of what the full version offers. Or for those that like to learn only half of a character system. ;) The pronunciation help is nice. Characters like 그 드 르 in particular didn't come naturally.

### 4/5 — Good

*2012-08-16, version 1.0.8*

Easy to learn . Straight forward. Slightly difficult to understand the man's voice

### 4/5 — Excellent for absolute beginner.

*2012-03-01, version 1.0.6*

I've been curious about hangul for a while. This app does an excellent job of teaching the symbols and their combinations, very understandable for a total beginner. I was impressed enough to buy the full app.

I would say 5 stars if there was an extra "revision" mode with spaced repetition based on the characters you've done so far. I guess that's not the scope of the app but I think such an addition would make this an excellent teaching tool.

### 5/5 — Absolutely wonderful app!!

*2023-04-01*

This app is how I taught myself how to read and recognize the Korean writing system. I highly suggest using this if you want to stop relying on transliteration, which is not helpful to Korean learning. Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Very fun

### 5/5 — Best for visual learners

*2016-01-13*

I have tried other apps and so far this one works the best for people who learn visually. It shows you symbols and how each one streams into another to make words. Easy simple and effective. 👍🏻

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2015-08-07*

Great for beginners! Esp if you're considering buying the full app ($3.99). This one has 5 easy lessons. No instruction or sign-in, just start learning Hangul characters & sounds! Covers combinations of about 6-7 consonants with 4-5 vowels. Loved it.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2015-08-02, version 1.0.8*

I really like this app, it's great for beginners like me especially since I was so troubled with learning the alphabet. I had to constantly revisit videos and found it difficult to remember characters but this app made it so easy.

You can go at your own pace, you can tap unfamiliar words to make it read it aloud and you are constantly visiting previous characters (although you can just skip them with ease if you already know them) that I can feel myself recognise them faster continuously. I owe it big time to the developers, thank you so much especially for making it free! Good job! :)

### 5/5 — How it helps

*2014-11-12, version 1.0.8*

It helps you speak korean and read korean.Maybe it will take you 1 week or more. But this app will help you be a expert at korean words. I hope you be a korean expert at korean.

### 5/5 — Just what I wanted

*2014-05-11, version 1.0.8*

Simple, fun, helpful; perfect supplement to my intro to korean class.
