### 2/5 — AUv3 - The 800 lb gorilla…

*2026-04-08, version 1.2.2*

For this app, and the others that do not have AUv3 support. It’s time to acknowledge and address your customers. When are you going to implement AUv3 for the rest of your apps? It’s time

### 2/5 — AUv3

*2026-03-29, version 1.2.2*

### 4/5 — Still my fav synth- hoping for an AUv3 update!

*2025-12-28, version 1.2.2*

This review would be 5 stars if a few modern features get added- AUv3 and iCloud saving support!

Great detailed controls let you fine tune the synth and model lots of cool sounds from fat bass to expressive leads. You get 2 synth instances and 6 drum tracks that are simplified versions of the same synth. With the sequencer this is enough to make entire songs. The limited amount of tracks actually is great for keeping you focused. I use KORG Gadget 3 too which is much more versatile, but I ended up finishing way more songs with iPolysix thanks to its relative simplicity.

This app is OLD- and sadly KORG has kind of forgotten about it. It desperately needs an update to support AUv3 so it can be used as a synth in other DAWs. It has been gadget-ized, but the Gadget version has lost some small features, like the arpeggiator latch, and doesn’t sound quite the same.

Another critical thing It needs is the ability to save to iCloud or other file locations. Nice to have features would be the ability to export MIDI from the sequencer, and synth setting presets to Gadget - trying to recreate songs and sounds from iPolysix within Gadget 3 should be easy but without these features it really isn’t!

I LOVE this app, and I hope KORG finds the bandwidth to update this awesome synth for the modern era of iOS music production! I’ll be sure to update this to 5 stars when they do. Thanks KORG!

### 4/5 — AUv3

*2025-12-23, version 1.2.2*

I am giving this 4 stars due to no audio unit support. Please update this and others so they can used in Cubasis or Logic Pro for iPad.

### 4/5 — An offer for more

*2025-12-09, version 1.2.2*

Hello! 1-In iPolysix synths, IM'S-20, it would be good to add functions such as KORG Collection and the ability to download sound banks as in iMono/Poly. Or add paid sound banks. I want sound and breadth like in KORG Collection. Thank you

### 4/5 — Prawie doskonały.

*2025-10-31, version 1.2.2*

Wspaniały dźwięk
ale brak możliwości współpracy z DAW .

*2025-10-25, version 1.2.2*

Sinon inutile.

### 4/5 — Comes alive with an external controller

*2025-01-20, version 1.2.2*

Used to have the hardware version. This app, when combined with a decent controller, definitely scratches that itch. Having two of them, plus a pair of six-part sampler units makes solo performances possible and fun. Still on the wish list for me: External sample import (to get some 80s drum samples going), and patch import/export to/from the VST version. Other than that, it’s perfect!

### 2/5 — 5 Stars after Auv3

*2024-01-12, version 1.2.2*

Amazing sound synth, like all korg synths. It’s just no good without Auv3 (for me)

### 2/5 — app could already be retro

*2021-12-10, version 1.2.2*

no AUV3 and no audiobus… but soundgood..can only be used in gadget..

### 4/5 — Love love love this

*2021-11-07, version 1.2.2*

But it would be awesome with AUV3! I still go back to this and play it a lot!

### 4/5 — AUv3

*2021-10-04, version 1.2.2*

Pretty please make all your synth apps AUv3!!!!!

### 4/5 — Pas mal

*2021-06-08, version 1.2.2*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No AUv3 support, abandonware

*2025-12-14, version 1.2.2*

You can’t use it in modern DAW that don’t have IAA support.

### 1/5 — Esta completamente obsoleta la app

*2025-04-28, version 1.2.2*

### 1/5 — Useless in the modern AUv3 world

*2024-08-05, version 1.2.2*

I bought this on the assumption (so entirely my fault) that it would support AUv3, in the same way that iM1 does. It does not. More fool me. This was a complete waste of money.

It sounds great standalone, but I want to use it with other synths and effects and I’m not working with inter-app audio as it’s too unstable.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t seem to connect to midi.

*2023-06-29, version 1.2.2*

Probably ok in Gadget but not any good for anything else.

### 1/5 — NO AUv3 SUPPORT

*2023-05-19, version 1.2.2*

Come on Korg this is ridiculous!!!! It’s been how many years now? I deleted Gadget because this. Gadget was born on iOS yet you give the flexibility to desktop only. I never bought the desktop version because of your shady business dealings on iOS. I spent over $200 on your iOS products. To access gadgets on desktop, to put in your personal daw, is $200. Over it.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy this app. MIDI implementation sucks.

*2021-01-27, version 1.2.2*

I own every Korg app and tons of their kit. Love their stuff.

Some of their apps need some basic functionality added. This ones midi implementation means I will rarely use it. It cannot be leveraged to make music easily. There are better apps. Save your money.

### 1/5 — Please update all the Korg apps to a AUV3

*2019-09-28, version 1.2.2*

Just like all the other korg stuff there is still NO AUV3 can you please put AUV3 on all the KORG SYNTHS

### 1/5 — Cloud Share Remix doesnt work since 2015/2016

*2018-09-08, version 1.1.6*

Cloud Share Remix doesnt work since 2015/2016 please fix it. no Sequenzer like Cubasis iaa Support. No patch Import possible.

### 1/5 — UPDATE.

*2018-07-27, version 1.1.6*

7/27 EDIT: Korg, your boilerplate "sorry for the inconvenience" response makes no sense here. I'm not complaining about a specific issue, but rather the absolute (and seemingly intentional?) obsolescence of iPolysix as a functioning app in the current iPad music landscape. It's not AU, has no IAA, has no Ableton Link, has no extended MIDI functions, and doesn't interact with Gadget. It's not even integrated into the going KORG iPad environment, let alone the whole complex ecosystem that's come about as the tablet has matured. The complaint is basically, "I paid a lot of money for this app and it stopped updating 2 years ago, despite the fact that music app standards have continued to shift and grow. Now I'm frustrated that I wasted my time writing songs in it." And my review is a warning: don't buy this if you want something that ever updates and plays nicely (or at all) with other apps.

6/18 EDIT: It’s been months and Korg hasn’t so much as glanced my way on this. As of now, iPolysix is a $30 app with no support and no future. It features some of my favorite sounds and workflow, but it’s just not keeping up with the times - or even other Korg apps! I strongly suggest looking elsewhere, if only to avoid the heartbreak I’ve had with this thing. I feel like I wasted two years making music with it.

iPolysix was my first iPad music love, the groovebox/synth whose ease, versatility, and top-notch retro voices made me believe the iOS hype when stuff like Tabletop, Figure, and Rhythm still felt undernourished and full of early house-ish cheese. But over time I've been forced to abandon it, as Korg has done essentially nothing to make it vibe with current connectivity standards: no Ableton Link, no extended MIDI functions, no AU stuff, no absorption into Gadget - like I said, nothing. I have something like 50 iPS tracks that are dying to be piped into/arranged further in Gadget or beatmatched with iElectribe/Patterning/ElasticDrums/iMPC or treated track by track with AU/IAP plugins (either in iPS itself or, even better, via some multitrack output to Auria), but it's hard to shake the feeling that I've invested hours upon hours into Korg's redheaded abandonware stepchild, leaving my tracks in a perpetual demo state. Prove me wrong, Korg!

### 1/5 — Anybody there?

*2018-03-12, version 1.1.6*

It seems to me that KORG is charging good money for their Apps but they are not doing much work to update them. IPolysix hasn't been updated since 2015, no sync with other apps like Ableton Link or midi. Very disappointing, don't purchase KORG apps, they are not worth it. KORG should stop ripping off people. There are much better synths up there for less than half the price.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — More to it than meets the eye

*2025-11-02, version 1.2.2*

Initially I thought this was just a copy of the original polysix - which was good. But dig in to the sequencer, drum machine and Kaoss Pads and this becomes much more interesting. Worth taking time to explore

### 5/5 — Still waiting, KORG

*2025-05-05, version 1.2.2*

We were promised an update to make the gadgetized version (Pompei) AUv3. So we upgraded. And we’re still waiting.

### 5/5 — AwesomeMiniDAW

*2025-02-23, version 1.2.2*

Best known for its accurate Polisix modern take, this platform delivers sorprising tools to a musician with an iPad.
To a certain degree, I see this product as an unvaluable and inspiring miniDAW for electronic music.
Korg never let down!

### 5/5 — Super maszyna

*2025-01-03, version 1.2.2*

Mega brzmienia i możliwości programowania. Polecam

### 5/5 — Bringing back great memories

*2022-06-29, version 1.2.2*

I had one of these in my youth and have missed it often. But wow, this app does it justice. Incredibly good sounding. The extra features (two instances, more effects, a sequencer, drums) are icing. My favourite soft synth purchase. All I need now are faux wood side panels for my iPad.

### 5/5 — One of the few.....

*2022-04-25, version 1.2.2*

I use this with mSequencer and can get full control over all 8 instruments - better than m1 for sequencing for sure. 8 tracks with seven tracks of automation. Or automate the mixer and let Polysix do the sequencing. 😀

UPDATE...... PLEASE ADD ABLETON LINK KORG-SAN

### 5/5 — Hoovers for Days

*2022-01-05, version 1.2.2*

Double barrelled rave action complete w drums.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-12-10, version 1.2.2*
