Deletes your work when it crashes. The bug has lasted for months. Pan page works fine in standalone. Otherwise the synth is outstanding; there’s nothing like it on PC, much less iOS. Just don’t understand why the Filter Envelope was completely removed especially now that the filter has resonance. I guess using the Amp Envelope on the filter is doable and a Filter Env isn’t going to be added. Otherwise the app is killer and a total classic! ### 5/5 — AUv3 is here! *2025-12-28, version 1.2.1* A lot of waves with grit, presence and character from another era. And when u combine/sequence the waves magic soundscapes appear. A classic good for both pop or experimental. I like how distinct the sounds of the Wavestation are, including some of the rhythmic qualities. Korg uphold a good standard with their apps, particularly the emulations. Now that it is an AUV3 it is ‘perfect’ for my needs. As a bonus, it seems that they’ve boosted some of the tempo sync behavior so that it grooves nicely with a project (as long as the project is in the time signature of the given groove 😏😉) Also like that it has the standard modulation support of the original, modwheel usually does vibrato but has a few hidden surprises. Has aftertouch support. One of my favorite cartridges is the KLC (Korg legacy collection). Has sounds that are more contemporary or show off some twists in the capabilities of the Wavestation. The ARP Odyssey was my first, and still my all-time favorite synthesizer. However, I think I'll give them at least a partial reprieve, because they just put out the app for my second all-time favorite synthesizer, the iWavestation. I just bought, downloaded, and installed it on my iPad 4 Retina, and it works just beautifully, both as a standalone app, and within Gadget. They have also made available, as an in-app purchase, an extra bank of waves, wavesequences, and performances. BRAVO, Korg. UPDATE 12/16/2025: TRIPLE BRAVO, Korg!!! Just got notified that AUv3 capabilities have been added to this app! Now usable as an Audio Unit in AUM, Cubasis, GarageBand, etc. FANTASTIC! ### 5/5 — AUV3 support finally! *2025-12-16, version 1.2.0* I bought this a few years ago, but haven’t used it at all because it wasn’t AUV3, so I couldn’t use it as a plugin. AUV3 support changes everything! I LOVE these plugin versions of the old hardware synths! I have the ARP and will buy the rest of them (Polysix, Mono/Poly,etc ) if you make them AUV3. My first synth was a Poly 800 bought in 1984. Longtime Korg fan. There’s waves in there galore, seems like every single soundpatch has extraordinary variations. Brief use standalone and in my baby GarageBand on iPad Pro M1. The effort that Korg have put into this, it shows in the quality of the sounds and the reliability of the app. Just buy the extra patches. (They’ve stuck an ironic ‘Easter Egg’ in there, in that the front pic comes up standalone, is upside down, but that’s not something you hear. That’s the only negative I could possibly extract). Absolutely stonking instrument. I cannot see anyone not wanting and able to make use of this, and truly there will be ‘before’ and ‘after’ Audio Unit arrival.
