Maybe through the use of a queuing system. The ability to only upload 50 at a time is very limiting as some tickets can take several hundred photos and waiting for everything to sync is time consuming. Inserting them all even 50 at a time without syncing them will result in failed syncs on some photos every time. Second there are overlay issues with the mapping system. Overlays flash and some usually persist after selecting other pins. Trying to change between maps and satellite imagery can be hit or miss because the button disappears and reappears somewhat at random. This is more of an annoyance issue as it doesn’t render the settings buttons unusable, just frustrating to try and click on. Another thing to include with mapping would be location and zoom memory. Going into and out of a ticket, remembering these settings would be a time saver. I have to reinstall this almost daily because it never fails to fail to sync ### 1/5 — Constant crashing makes app unusable *2024-10-08, version 1.14.3* I had big hopes for this app, which would make transferring photos to tickets much easier, and for a while it worked decently well. Crashed frequently, but only a couple times a day. At this point, The app will shut down and log the user out about 6 to 10 times during the completion of one single ticket. It constantly force feeds you prompts you don’t need, (asking if you’d like to continue syncing photos after the app has crashed and restarted) Most of these features are unnecessary complications, making the app buggier. ### 1/5 — Id give it a zero if possible *2024-09-06, version 1.14.0* This app crashes almost consistently 30-40 times a day. It fails at the most basic tasks and inhibits my ability to work effectively and swiftly when i have to wait for it to refresh itself after a crash every single ticket often multiple times on just 1. It is the only app i have ever wanted to crush my phone over, but I know its nots the phones fault. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2024-08-02, version 1.13.16* This app is one of the most frustrating apps I’ve used in my line of work. Constant app crashing, unable to sync photos to your ticket, and many more problems. If you want to stay productive and not get behind this isn’t the app for you. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE APP *2024-04-30, version 1.13.10* We use this for our company and this is the most lagging and inconvenient app there is. Constant crashing. Takes 10 years to upload photos. The company won’t switch apps but it sure does drag a business down tremendously. Not to mention the app crashes 3 times an hour then won’t even open up with very good connection I can’t stress enough how much I hate this app and wish that they would fix it or my company would move on from the mediocrity they call a field app **Developer response:** Hi Elijah, some users reported an issue with 1.13.8 taking a long time to open up. We believe we identified the root cause of these issues, and released 1.13.9 to resolve them. Please let our Support team know if you continue to encounter these problems. ### 1/5 — Pointless *2024-03-13, version 1.13.3* There is No point on me writing a long review to describe how bad this app is, upgrades have been made but that doesn’t change anything on how Bad the uploading pictures is or having your tickets load on time. At this point the old app worked better. ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2024-02-15, version 1.13.3* I’ve been using this app for give or take a year. It used to be fairly reliable with regards to syncing tickets on the app with tickets on the website. Now it’s horrible. KorTerra tech support’s solution to this problem is to delete the app and reinstall it. I’m basically doing this daily now because it refuses to sync tickets. Couple this problem with the fact that the app restarts constantly. This usually happens when I’m trying to upload pictures from a locate. Which means it’s a total crapshoot if it attaches the pictures, or not. Please fix. I’m basically where one of the other reviewers is. I’d give it negative stars if it was possible. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2023-11-14* This App is not much of an upgrade from the old one. The pictures take a long time to upload and the system is always freezing and takes forever to sync. In overall it’s a pain to use the app. ### 1/5 — The App Crashes Too Much *2023-04-10, version 1.8.2* The app cannot support itself on a laptop much less a cell phone. Almost makes the app unusable. Especially when every other crash forces you to log back in again ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-08-15, version 1.14.23* Even had a “meeting” with people who assured basic issues would be addressed, we are almost a year since that meeting and absolutely nothing has changed, stability is still terrible, constant app crashing or not syncing, map not loading basic things causing you to constantly restart. Don’t even get started on trying to upload pictures. ### 1/5 — Trash *2025-06-13, version 1.14.19* I’ve been using this app for over a year locating, and it constantly crashing using the zoom, or just by itself, not to mention the syncing issues it has. Can’t even lock the screen or it will stop and eventually fail. Don’t bother with this if you actually want your crew to get their job done. ### 1/5 — WORST SOFTWARE EVER *2025-06-12, version 1.14.19* I have never ever written a review about anything tech related. This program forced my hand. Worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with in a work setting. Constantly crashing, lagging, issues uploading pictures and syncing. Takes forever to sync, and you can’t exit the app and let it run in the background because it won’t sync at all unless it’s open. Web application is the same way. Repeat issues, never fixed, always bugging out. Do not recommend. ### 1/5 — Mandatory torture *2025-05-30* If I wasn’t forced to use this app for work, I would delete it from my phone and never look back. Uploading 50 pictures at a time is a joke and causes constant crashes. When using the in app camera, it crashes and deletes the pictures. When the mapping ordains to load, it flashes and changes the routes of the mains in between each flash. You have to be so zoomed in on the map to load the prints, that you can’t view your entire scope of work at a time. The app reopens closed tickets without notice and does not ‘star’ them again which can cause locators to unknowingly allow a COMPLETED ticket to go late. It’s like pulling teeth to get the board to resync. 0/10 do not recommend ### 1/5 — Give me my money back! *2025-05-22, version 1.14.19* Charged me $10 to download even though it’s a free app my company pays for us to use. It wont upload pictures for hours even with wifi and great service, will kick you out randomly while using, and will make you uninstall and redownload once or twice a week for it to work properly. Hands down the worst app I’ve ever used. ### 1/5 — Crashes Bugs *2025-04-25, version 1.14.18* Korterra’s Ticket Management is a good program from a management standpoint. However, their field app has so many bugs, crashes, maps don’t load, camera causes app to crash and then you have to do forced restarts. Furthermore, the app is so far from the web base you feel as if you’re using two separate programs. What appears great in someone’s office is not great in the field at all. Korterra Field app needs replaced and I would not recommend to any one call locate company use it. Web based program is totally fine but isn’t simplified for the everyday locator to use. Great for managers but not for locators. ### 1/5 — WARNING TO ALL COMPANIES *2025-02-19, version 1.14.13* DO NOT get duped into using this hot piece of GARBAGE. Everything about it is broken. Look at all the other reviews. Korterra is a JOKE. Load times are insane, in app camera is broken and doesn’t work. It logs you out randomly CONSTANTLY then takes 20 minutes to load you back in. It is a legitimate nightmare and so unbelievably exhausting to use this joke of an app everyday. They have well trained representatives who communicate for tech support. They update regularly. 15yrs of Dig-Alert experience, they understand what i am looking for and built a system that meets my needs. Excellent archive system, i can find any ticket by date or street and review photos and completion info within a minute! ### 3/5 — Always active Location? *2026-07-02, version 1.16.7* So for a while the Korterra app has been much better, but recently, not sure if it’s the iOS update or a KorTerra update, but the app now demands that we have our location settings for the app to be ‘Always On’.I don’t see the point in this as the app does not perform notifications based on location in the background. We suggest folks use the in-app camera because it lets people take as many photos in a row as they want (photos are also smaller so they sync faster). However, I know locators often need to attach the same photos to multiple tickets, so in those scenarios many fall back to adding from local storage. I'm guessing that's probably your case? We are aware of the flashing issue on the map, and the good news is it's on our slate of items to fix soon. Again, I really appreciate your detailed feedback, and please don't hesitate to reach out if anything else comes up! ### 2/5 — Forced to slow down *2025-09-26* I’ve been using this app for a couple years, and the only issue I really came across was the fact that the app would randomly crash. As of the past week, the app will crash when you scroll through the map too quickly, or zoom in too fast. Unfortunately, that can’t be done in a consistent manner when the app you’re using keeps logging you out every 4 hours. What the heck happened?? This can’t be some kind of “security measure”, this is just overall bothersome.
