About

Kosher Calm is a meditation app built on Jewish foundations — a practice rooted in the guidance of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, developed by Rabbi Aryeh Siegel, once a senior executive in the Transcendental Meditation organization, who left on conscience. There is nothing to study first. The animation teaches you the method as you follow it. Find a seat, press Begin, and let it guide you. Fifteen to twenty minutes. FOUR DOORWAYS - Morning Calm — before the phone, before the day - A Stressful Moment — ten minutes to reset - Stressful Day? Unwind — let the day go - Erev Shabbos Reset — arrive at Shabbos settled Plus an open timer for practicing at your own pace. PRACTICE REMINDERS Set a quiet daily nudge for morning or evening, and a Friday reminder before candle-lighting. Reminders stay on your device. ENGLISH AND HEBREW Every session, animation, and teaching is available in both languages. THE REBBE'S GUIDELINES The Rebbe viewed meditation through a medical lens — beneficial as a therapeutic tool for those whose stress is interfering with their lives, not as a lifestyle practice for everyone. Those guidelines are in the app, and we ask you to read them before beginning. GO DEEPER The science behind the relaxation response, excerpts from the book, and answers to the questions people actually ask. FREE FOR EVERYONE Kosher Calm is free — completely. Free for IDF soldiers on active duty and in reserves, for Magen David Adom, Hatzalah, and ZAKA volunteers and their families, for anyone living with stress-related injury or hardship, and for everyone else too. It is sustained by those who choose to give. Kosher Calm is a project of TM Deception, a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity.
